The staff member today 6/24/26 was completely rude to my daughters. We came in and went to the kids section. Immediately before the girls could even look at the toys, the lady said "don't touch anything" "toys aren't for playing." If you don't want toys touched, put them at a level kids can't reach. How are customers supposed to determine if they want them or not if we can't test them out? Then we walked into the room at the check out. There was a box full of little toys that looked like they came from happy meals. My girls found two little one inch figurines they liked. The lady kept following us from room to room. She said "those are only for paying customers." How was she to know we weren't going to buy anything? My oldest daughter asked me nicely if she could have it, but the lady interrupted the conversation and said "she can have it for a dollar." I'm sorry, what? You're going to charge me for a toy that if I buy something they would get for free? Her whole attitude towards us was completely disrespectful. Before we could even finish looking around I decided to leave the establishment because I don't think they deserve our business or any business from parents with kids. Instead we spent our money at another shop near by and my daughters were offered something for free there before we even opened the door. Picky Peach Consignment in Jefferson has a great selection of items, especially lots of clothes at good prices. I didn't buy anything this time, but the store is well-stocked and worth checking out if you're looking for affordable consignment finds. read more

Picky Peach is such a gem! I've been here a few times, and I've always left with some great business casual clothes to wear to work. My favorite J Crew work flats came from here! It's a great place to bring your gently used items for a little extra cash, too. I made a decent chunk of change just from cleaning out my closet. Not to mention, the owner is so kind and helpful. This establishment is extremely "sketchy" to say the least! Took approximately 15 brand-name clothing items in on May 29 (I.N.C. Calvin K etc.). Checked back several times and at first was told"items apparently hadn't been processed yet". Went back around mid-July and still nothing on my account! Looked on inside and outside 'sale' racks and found not a single item I had bought in. Went back again on Monday 8/26 and same thing...nothing on account and none of my items in store! Asked sales clerk to have one of the owners call me. Tracy called me next day and I explained everything to her. She immediately copped an attitude with me, repeatedly saying "must have all not sold and been donated already". Not believing a word of it!!! Not even ONE item sold..brand name clothing?? Hmmm. Something fishy going on here. My advice, take your consignments anyplace but this place! read more

WARNING : before you hand over your items to sell be sure you itemize each item and date when you relinquish them. This business keeps no records of what each person brings in so it is up to you. According to the shop emoloyee, they "don't have the money to have a fancy inventory system". You will also need to check on your items weekly because if you go too long without seeing your items they will dissapear and you will be told that they were "donated" because it was probably more than 60 days on the floor. I suspect items the owner might need in her home were "donated". I am not accusing, just wondering. There also seems to be an attitude by them that they are doing you a favor to accept your goods to make her money. The split fee is higher than other consignment stores but I used Picky Peach because I believe in supporting my local community businesses. I will no longer shop there let alone give them anything to make them money! May I suggest another consignment in Commerce right off of I-85, they are fair, trustworthy, and pleasant to work with. read more

Picky Peach has an organized inventory system where each person can create their own account and will be marked down in their books with a series of letters and numbers so they can keep track of how much money you have in your account for you. You can choose to donate your clothes or have them returned to you if they don't sell over the course of 120 days. The prices are fantastic considering that none of the items they sell has any rips, stains, holes, missing buttons, etc. I've been going since they first opened and I love the place. I've bought workout shorts, tank tops, clothes for choir concerts, cute dresses, and a few pairs of shoes. When you go in, even if you don't expect to find something, there will always be something to catch your eye. The owners are very sweet and get to know their customers and their preferences and will tell you their personal opinion on clothing you try on to help you find clothes that look best on you.
