The afternoon I went in I was getting pretty tired so I decided to get a bunch of to-go beers and ready made food to relax at the hotel. The store has a cozy character that comes with being loved. They had a lot of ready made food items, plus all the traditional stuff of other grocery stores. Prices were reasonable, especially with how healthy a lot of the selections are. It was a popular spot with many people doing their afternoon shopping. The beer selection was amazing for me, lots of Russian River and other regional staples. The staff was also friendly, both the beer stocker and cashiers. I highly recommend shopping here if you're in Petaluma.

I don't like the hassle that Safeway corporate makes you play to get discounts. Prior to heading to Safeway, I spent about an hour checking out the ad, the "Just for U" section, coupons etc. I rarely have that kind of time. Why do grocery stores subject you to homework to get the best price? That being said I spent $200 for a $350 order. Shopping Friday sales help as well. Some of my past experiences at this store have not been stellar. It seems to get better with each visit. Mikey was my cashier. He was friendly and efficient. What else can you ask for? The Starbucks barista suggested I get the Friday special that included a pastry. The $6 special was cheaper than the drink alone would be. Finally , Austin helped me with my cart in the lot. We exchanged pleasantries, he was quite lovely. I drove away $200 poorer, but with a smile on my face.

I know people LOVE their pets, like I love mine, but they don't belong in food stores and restaurants! It's disgusting.

**My go-to grocery store, hands down.**…read more I've shopped at a lot of grocery stores, and the Petaluma Sprouts is the one I keep coming back to. The store is spotless every time I walk in, and the shelves are always neatly organized, so I can get in and out without hunting for anything. The produce is the real standout. It's the best in town: fresh, good-looking, and it actually lasts once I get it home. I've stopped buying fruits and veggies anywhere else. The staff makes the experience even better. Everyone is friendly and helpful, whether I'm asking where something is or just chatting at checkout. You can tell they care about the store and the people who shop there.

I had already been thinking about buying a sandwich, and when I noticed several employees actively cleaning a deli that already looked pretty clean to me, I was convinced. I ordered the build-your-own sandwich, which starts at $4.99. I love deli sandwiches, and have ordered so many from so many different locations across California over the past decade, I'm pretty sure I could write a book at this point.. Sprouts is usually a great place to get a sandwich for lunch. Most of my experiences at other Sprouts locations have been great. I filled out the sandwich form (which was returned to me with my sandwich, as evidence lol) with the following: sourdough bread, ham, bacon, swiss, avocado, dressing, all the veggies except lettuce. If the bread was sourdough, it was the whitest sourdough bread I've ever had in my life. It resembled white bread in every way, shape, and form. I received exactly one strip of hardly detectable bacon. All of the veggies were in such small quantities that I thought a bunch of ingredients were missing at first. The sandwich was honestly mostly marinated peppers. I didn't receive any avocado, but felt like, overall, the sandwich was okay enough for $7.99. But I would not order from this same sandwich maker again (although he was nice enough), because he wasn't very good at it.
