This was the second time at this Trader Joe's, it's one of the bigger ones that I have seen allowing easy navigation thru the aisles. It also has the most cash registers ( I believe 9) that I have seen in a TJ. Team members on the floor were all helpful and pleasant. When I asked a team members where a specific item was located the team member would walk me over to where the product was to ensure I found it quickly. When we went to checkout was when things started going wrong. We got behind a customer who was just finishing up when Jaime T (per our receipt) came over and got us stating there was no wait in his line. I handed Jaime our reusable bags who then stated "Just put those at the back of the check stand". At that point I told Jaime I would be right back, I was going to grab a case of water. When I returned 2 minutes later Jaime was 3/4 done with the checkout however I noticed my spouse was starting to bag our own items, and not the way TJ team members normally bag purchases (neatly with maximizing the space in the bags). We were checking out at 11:20, the other open check stands had one or no customers in them and Jaime had no one behind us at his checkout. My spouse stated it wasn't a big deal but when you have one TJ team member not doing what you have come to expect it is disappointing. I hope this was just a one off event and not an ongoing behavior of this one TJ team member. read more

I love all the Trader Joes but this one is especially nice. It's in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. The store seems larger than others with slightly bigger isles. The workers are always nice and the store seems to be well staffed whenever I am there. This time before I went I checked to see what was new and found a vegan pesto that ended up being really good. read more

I want to share a story that happened to me today that sums up beautifully the kindness of the staff here. My mom passed away 3 days ago. She loved Trader Joe's and when she could no longer drive, every time I visited her in Sacramento she'd have a list of her favorite TJ's items for me to pick up. As she was in the hospital (she kept thinking she was home) she asked repeatedly for the Trader Joe's room spray- I had to remind her she wasn't at home. Today, I stopped at Trader Joe's near my home and had to pick up the room spray to honor my mom. When it was rung up I began to cry. I explained my mom had just died. A minute later an employee showed up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers & handed them to me saying she was sorry for my loss. As of today, March 1, 2022, the store has improved significantly since Covid restrictions and they deserve a huge shout out! First, their customer service is amazing with a caring mature staff who are ON IT! At the time of this writing, TJ's organic berries are actually less expensive than at Costco! Their flower selection is pleasantly diverse, although a tad pricey. Haven't seen the $.99 tulips in a couple of years, but that's par for the course at any Trader Joe's. One of the best things about this store is their new line of organic eggs. In particular, the ones in the blue package labeled "Pasture Raised" are $4 a dozen and are truly the best eggs I've tasted in almost 2 decades, with dark yellow yolks that impart a creamy quality. The cut flower selection and card selection has also improved significantly, so you can dash in and out with flowers and a card easily for under $10. Now if they had a better selection of jammy Zinfandels and crisp, floral Sauvignon Blancs, they'd get 5 stars right now! Keep up the great work TJ's! read more

On 9/17 I felt so discriminated by a lady (employee) given some sort of mix nuts sample. I NEVER ask for any sample in my life specially for this type of situations. I got close to sample site. My fingers not even touched the outside part of the disposable cup when I grabbed another cup instead. This lady in the most rude, condescending manner told me "oh no you need to grab both your dirty hand already touch that cup" my hand was not dirty in first place and I understand her being proactive and thinking about food and handling but that not a way to treat somebody in the middle of the store in front of such multicultural diverting population. She just could kindly dispose the cup herself if that was her concern. Not a good experience. I spend a good part of my paycheck on that store on a monthly basis plus I own a business. Joe's is the perfect source for stocking up on camping food. Grabbed salmon, rib eye, and stir fry vegetables. Our meals were set for a weekend of camping. I appreciate the convenient packaging where I was able to store in our cooler with no fuss. I also discovered their "Everything But The Bagel" ketal potato chips. I wanted to do the flowers for my daughters wedding and struggled with where to start and how to approach this goal. I could not have done this without the incredible expertise of Alaya, the person in charge of the floral dept at Trader Joe's. She made herself available for all of my questions and ideas, providing suggestions and support as we figured out colors, types of flower arrangements and quantities including how to create a unique and beautiful bouquet. She even helped me load my car with all the the buckets, securing them so they wouldn't spill. Alaya made it fun and the centerpieces/ Bridal bouquet were gorgeous. Alaya is my hero. The staff always seem in a good mood, happy to answer questions, and actually in plain sight to ask, unlike an adjacent grocery store I won't mention. The selection is awesome. On our way to the Sonoma coast we made a quick stop at nearby Lagunitas Brewing. We picked up some beverages to go and wanted to bolster our stock of snacks and treats to compliment our freshly procured beer. A quick look on the Yelp app and we were able to find this location in very close proximity. It was in a rather large, relatively new shopping center with plentiful parking. I was greeted on the way in and per usual with all my experiences with Trader Joe's the covid protocols were very solid in place. the lay out was very typical Trader Joe's. I went straight to the cheeses and found the selection to be very good. It's been my experience that the cheese selection can vary by location in large part (from what I have heard) in relation to the demand the store experiences. This one in particular had all the standards and maybe a few beyond that. Again a very welcome selection and as per usual more than competitively priced. The bread selection was next and once again I located all the standard offering and was able to quickly acquire just what I needed. We were hoping to sample some of the local bread offerings from the handful of top notch bakeries in the area but they were closed during the early part of the week. What was purchased work out well for the cheese and meats purchased. The selection of meats was spot on and as usual I took just a moment of searching to find the sticks of salamis. A few fruit items, some crackers, nuts, dried fruits and other salty snack foods and Iw as out the door. Checkout was smooth and though we were all wearing masks makes were apparent the exchange at the register. All in all it took about 15 minutes from the door to out the door. In the past this stop would have involved a trek up to Santa Rosa and I could not be happier this one was so close. No doubt the locals feel just the same. Last week sometime I sent an email to Trader Joe's about how our household had to throw almost $75 of groceries in the trash because of rotten produce that appeared to be fine until you cut it open. The apples were sliced and placed in the crisper and since young and old are in our home it's not worth the risk. We never heard back. Shopping again and cut open apples and same gross white fuzzy stuff in them. I would suggest double checking yours just to make sure. I have never had an issue with Trader Joe's before and honestly I'm kinda shocked that there wasn't even a reply. Pretty crappy. If you ever have bread or anything like that that is in exposed contact with other foods, like the cut up apples inside of the drawer with a bunch of other stuff, you have to toss everything. You know when you walk into a TJs that's new to you, and you have too many kids and not a lot of time? Not a problem here. This is a nice, spacious, and well organized TJ's. The aisles were relatively wider than my regular TJ's and the staff was super sweet. Gosh, I wish I caught dudes name but I didn't- we'll just call him Young Buck. Young Buck was the best. He literally walked around the store with my sister-in-law and I, helping us grab everything on our list in record time- GPS has nothing on Young Buck. Considering my 1 and 2 year old nephews were with us, the extra help was really above and beyond. He just kept saying, "can I help you find anything else?" (2.29) 8.4%, extra hops doesn't add much bitterness, very smooth drink. worth 4 stars for the punch. on draught: -brewed in small batches by rhinelander brewing, monroe, wis. -always seem to go to trader joes has little shoppers, in and out in minutes. -note to those seeking stores not charging .10 cents per bag. there are none. it's mandated by law. read more

Carping about the contents of a particular TJ location is sort'a silly. They are all cookie cutter sites that carry the same items. Variables are more dependent on traffic patterns to get there & parking. This Trader Joe's is located in a large shopping center that always has plenty of parking available. The floor layout is roomy enough, not as big as the brand spankin' new Novato store, but still better than the really old TJ locations with narrow aisles that make your job of steering your shopping cart past the geriatric dawdlers impossible. I like the low prices and the emphasis on NO preservative foodstuffs. I often buy the assembled salads for my lunch. They are NOT gourmet. They are edible. A few varieties are actually quite terrible. But at $3 to $4 each you learn which ones to avoid. Their brand name products are often made by top quality producers. First time in this particular Trader Joe's and again the larger TJ stores rock! I usually hit a much smaller and when I mean small, I'm talking 1 BR 1 Bathroom small. This store had ample parking due to it being in a strip mall. Everything was laid out where it was very easy to find and aisles were plenty wide so there was minimal crowding. The crowding in general was not to be seen anywhere, even at checkout, but it was 2:00 PM on a Friday afternoon, so that may of played a factor into it. After my normal idea of grabbing a few items was blown out the door ($80 later) I was in and out of the checkout line in no time at all, which is amazing compared to my normal TJ experience. It's hard to really bash this company though due to it being one of the most exciting grocery stores to shop at! I typically get my car serviced around the corner every two or three months and now the plan is to somehow wait to shop at my normal TJ's and see if I can make it until I can visit this store. Anyways, to sum it up, this store was easy to get to, park at, and shop in, so really no negatives here for me. read more
