Rana is such a gift! Kind, caring and so very knowledgeable. My husband and I work with her weekly in semi private sessions. We are both in our 80's and were hoping we would find an instructor who would accommodate our age limitations (!). We feel so confident when working with Rana. She vigilantly concentrates on our performance, corrects when needed but never pushes us beyond our capacity which means so much to us. Her studio is a perfect size, bright, clean and air conditioned! Her dear little dog, Teddy, happily greets us at the door. I highly recommend Agility Studios. I did PT for my shoulder for years. I wanted to find a fitness option that would help me get strong without injuring myself again. When I started doing pilates with Rana, I was 6 months postpartum and weak. She helped me get back in shape and strong safely. I started seeing results in a couple of months after I started. I joined Rana's Pilates class when I was 5 months pregnant and I am so glad that I did. Not only is Rana an expert in Pilates, but she is also super knowledgeable in how to train pregnant patients. She always ensured I knew how to modify the move for my stage of pregnancy and even helped me to get through a severe episode of sciatica when I got further along in my pregnancy. Rana is an incredible trainer. I just finished 10 privates with her and will be continuing with her 2x/week. A few specific things to call out: she is always paying attention. I may think we are chatting while I do my reps and she'll stop herself mid-sentence to correct my form, adjust my body, count my reps--she is never not working. Next, she is so incredibly knowledgable, but in a way that is accessible. She noticed (not me!) that one of my shoulders is higher than the other--and is often correcting my form (my shoulders, my knee, a slight turn of my foot) while training me--and I'm shocked by the big difference these small observations and changes have made. Lastly, while I went in with the goal of decreasing my stress and improving my fitness--I'm already having unexpected results such as my back hasn't been hurting (I just assumed my back would always kinda hurt bc I sit at a computer 10 hours per day). I highly recommend Agility studio. After going to boot camps and running, I thought Pilates would not be enough of a workout for me. But when I started taking group classes with Rana and the other instructors, I quickly learned that pilates fitness it's no joke! Rana is amazing and doing Pilates with her has helped me in more ways than one. I have always been very active but developed chronic back and hip pain, which worsened when I became pregnant. I started doing 1:1 Pilates sessions with Rana's twice a week in my first trimester and throughout my entire pregnancy. Rana is incredibly knowledgeable and she guided me through exercises that were safe during pregnancy but that also helped me strengthen the right muscle groups to prevent back and hip pain. I started going to Agility about a month ago after I found out that I was pregnant. It is very hard to find a great pilates studio that customizes workouts to fit your basic skill and strength. I have been doing pilates for over 6 years and learned on my own how to fix my posture because teachers did not pay attention. However, with Rana she notices when my posture is off and helps teach and show me how to fix it. She is so knowledgable, kind and talented. I was so excited to write this review for a couple reasons, first of all I was nervous about starting to work out because of how out of shape I am, going to gyms has always been intimidating and made me feel so self-conscious. I started going to Agility Studio about 8 months ago at the recommendation of the physical therapist that I was seeing following a back injury. Rana Kennedy is the primary instructor and owner of Agility Studio and she is an exceptional teacher. She makes a point of getting to know the needs and goals of all of the students and she provides coaching and support foster your progress. The class sizes are small (the people are great) - so Rana provides individual cueing to assist you in maximizing the effectiveness of the positions and movements. I've been going to Agility for almost 2 years now and I should have done this review ages ago......I came to Rana after having some health issues and extreme muscle separation from my two recent pregnancies. I am a mother of three so finding a schedule that worked for me was also a challenge, but Rana's studio fit so many of my immediate and long term needs. I was having a hard time finding a trainer that was aware of diastasis recti (muscle separation) and after I met Rana I knew in so many ways that she was the perfect fit for me. She is so knowledgeable, so encouraging, so thoughtful, and very accommodating. Her studio is clean, comfortable and offers an array of classes that suit my fitness goals. Working out can be intimidating but Rana made me feel so comfortable as a beginner. Now she knows I want to train harder so she encourages me to do so and I've made so many personal gains thanks to Rana. She really gives a tailored personal training experience and being a part of her studio is like a family. I have been training with Rana for 3 years. She truly cares about people and their health. I have been going to Agility studio for almost two years. I signed up when I was feeling frustrated about not finding a work out regimen that worked for my specific needs. I was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago and have issues with fatigue and balance so a lot of workouts are not suitable for me. I wanted to give Pilates a try and I am not exaggerating when I say it changed the way I think about a work out. Rana is amazing- the classes are small and very hands on and she modifies every class to work for whatever issues you may be dealing with that day. I love that I can attend the same class with people of all ages, athletes, and pregnant girls... and we all get exactly what we need out of the class.
