I've been doing pilates for several years and Debi is the ultimate pilates instructor! She initially did MAT (muscle activation technique) which was very helpful and kick-started my pilates sessions which have been on-going for about 2 years. When I'm facing a physical challenge/injury, Debi works through the issue with me and recommends appropriate modifications until I regain strength and movement. I've been seeing Debi Huber for MAT (muscle activation therapy) for around 13 years now, and she is absolutely amazing!!! Debi is one of the reasons I've been able to maintain excellent health and range of motion. Debi has helped me return to balance on at least a dozen occasions and I go at the first sign things are starting to feel "wonky"... as in when one leg feels weaker, or the stomach muscles aren't engaging properly, range of motion or rotation becomes inhibited. Having both side of the body balanced and all your nerves firing makes you want to exercise and be active. And I also go for "tune ups" once in while as well. It's an amazing feeling when you get done with a session. I can walk in there feeling like I can't even turn over on the table and halfway through my body is flying up and flipping over like a dolphin. It feels like magic, but I know that it's Debi's knowledge of anatomy and how all the different aspects work together. She pinpoints weakness in muscle groups or imbalance in range of motion, and then uses a type of accu-pressure to stimulate the communication between my nerves and the muscles. Then as nerve communication gets reconnected, motions that were once difficult become much easier. She once explained it to me like this...think of your body like a tent, when one, two or three poles get pulled out, the remaining poles must do more of the work to hold the tent up. The longer we ignore our bodies signals, the more poles come down and pretty soon all that work is being done by one or two overtaxed muscles...and that's what eventually leads to dis-ability, pain and even injury. MAT is not a magic bullet, but it sure feels like it to me! That's probably because I come in right away at the first sign of symptoms. What usually happens though is we tend to let things go by, repeatedly ignoring the bodies signals, and then you have to give it multiple sessions for the nerves to learn how to operate properly again. Either way, it's worth it, Your body is worth it! Don't give up and think your case is hopeless just because other physical therapies didn't work. Give Debi and MAT a try, and then go the recommended number of sessions. She really is a "Master" at this and I know it works for me. Wishing you good health! read more

Kim Rainey is a miracle worker. I first started going to her three years ago. My orthopedic surgeon said either see if you can get help from a physical therapist or it looks like we will need to do surgery. Not only is Kim a PT she is also a terrific Pilates instructor. The combination of both is beautiful. We have strengthened my core over time, no more stabbing pains in my back and no surgery! Woohoo! This is a great place for Physical Therapy and/or Pilates. I have been working with Kim over the past couple of years and she is very knowledgable, friendly, honest, and professional! She really knows what she is doing and you will see results! They just moved into a larger space, which is nice for the Pilates classes since they can accommodate more people and machines. If you are the type that wants to understand the mechanics/theory behind what she does, she is happy to explain as she works -- and she will quiz you to keep you on your toes.
