My go-to, 5-days-a-week workout for years, I love this studio! Fave instructors are Bekah, Stephanie G and Kiki but they are all amazing. Here's what you need to know: when you start Lagree, you feel clumsy (because, balance) and a little shocked at how slow, simple resistance-based movements can be so unbelievably challenging. But as a former yoga teacher, I find my mindfulness practice in those moments where I'm caught between "holy s**t I feel strong" and "I'm going to die." You can do this - and the neon sign on the wall of the Solana Beach studio will tell you so! I love elevate. I was a new comer and fell in love with Pilates immediately. It's super fun and everyone is super nice.

This was one of my favorite studios. I used to come in here frequently a few years ago when they were named BodyRok and later on, Core40 but I stopped because I wanted to try out other forms of exercises and it was a little tough on my wallet. I find the Pilates reformer exercises challenging but I like it. It is a strength training workout using different tension coils as weights. It also challenges your balance. A lot of the students I've met there are runners or cyclists. They also use props like hoops, pole, and free weights. I want to point out that their Pilates machine (Reformer) is different from the usual Pilates machine seen in most Pilates studios. The machine is wider and longer. I prefer the pilates machine they use in this studio. read more

Spots open up at midnight off the waitlist and you're expected to be there. And when you don't, they charge you. But if you're 2 minute late they give your spot away. *Elevate Training* is located off of the 101 in Solana Beach on the second floor and is easy to find with ample parking in this shopping center. Upon coming in you see all these high-tech looking pilates reformer machines AKA the Megaformer "M3". The studio is clean and modern with cubbies for your shoes and belongings. Trying out "The Lagree Method" is so different and it burns so good. I took Alona's class this past Sunday and she was great all around being welcoming from the beginning and providing helpful feedback when correcting form with slight adjustments. The full body class is pretty difficult during the whole 40 minutes WOWZERS with slow controlled movements. I could see why it's like pilates on steroids. ;P read more

Truly the BEST mega reformer studio I have ever been to. I actually see results when coming to this workout. It's only 40 minutes but I promise you'll be walking out shaking!! I love all the instructors but a few favorites are: Amy, Tessa, Kiki, Kelsey, and Jennifer. I love that every workout has a large focus on core and I promise you can't get this kind of core workout at home! They recently got brand new machines which are so nice. This is one of my favorite places to go on the weekend. The salon is clean and people are friendly and the location is great. I park right outside the doors. I use my class pass to go but just noticed they raised the points and hope this isn't for good or else I can't go back as it doesn't make economical sense. I have tried a handful of lagree studios & Elevate is by far the best! I have suffered from back pain for 8 years now. I made it a goal of mine to focus on building a stronger core and supporting muscle groups to help stabilize my spine, and after just 6 short weeks of Elevate, I've already had a reduction in my back pain. By far my favorite workout of all time! The instructors, atmosphere and the exercise as a whole is unmatched.

I don't want to write a review because I don't want to fight for a machine during my preferred time slots, but I owe it to Elevate to talk about how amazing this studio is. It is unlike any exercise I have ever done, and I have done them all (competitively swam growing up, played D1 water polo in college, have done triathlons, and all of the cross-training that goes into these sports). My body has never looked this good. Mind you - this is not your normal pilates class - this is a strength training class on a lagree machine. Expect to leave sore and exhausted. ABSOLUTELY HOOKED!! I tried this place after Lululemon had a July Sweat a thon on local fitness Establishments. I didn't get to go in July for free, but they did have a $5 intro class and it was well worth every penny. I don't think I've ever sweat or worked that hard in 40 min from one workout alone. I left feeling refreshed, energized, exhausted and empowered. Is that even possible? I've never taken any kind of reformer class before so was a little hesitant about this place. My sister swears up and down about these reformer machines and I finally get it. I GET IT!! The machines use springs and body weight to create tension and help you strengthen every muscle in your body. And you WILL FEEL IT. Ever think a 5lb weight could feel so ridiculously HEAVY? I ended up signing a one week unlimited class special after the first class and will continue my practice here. I love that the classes are all so different and hit on each part of your body. The tiniest movements feel like it's burning your entire body. The instructors are super motivating and have great music to go with the class. They keep the class new and exciting. Workouts never get mundane and repetitive (which is great for the whole "muscle confusion theory".) I run, weight-lift, hike, bike, hot power yoga and this definitely KICKS MY BUTT. Beads of sweat dripping off my face in minutes. The studio is small with about 10-11 machines and always starts and ends on time. Friendly clientele (who look pretty damn in shape too) that makes me wanna work out here more often. I seriously am dying midway through the class and don't know how I could possibly go on, but I don't' wanna be that girl that gives up. I was in a lunge last night with overhead press for a minute and arms and legs shaking all over the place. The instructor wouldn't let me quit and I love him for that. I LOVE this business. I had been attending in Carmel Valley for years, and unfortunately recently they shut down that location. I have started attending the Solana location, and that has not changed my opinion at all, I still think these classes are the best. The equipment is great, the teachers are great, but really it's the workout/structure that is phenomenal. I get an amazing workout when I come, especially when I do the core combo classes (1/2 spin and 1/2 Pilates for 50 minutes). You really can't beat this workout! I LOVE BodyRok. I really really do. It was the first place I went to on my first day in the area. I knew I needed a place that would challenge me and BodyRok's intensity answered my calling. They use pilates proformers and while I had only worked on reformers before this class, I caught on pretty quickly. Jenna was very helpful for setting me up for my first class. They also offer a fundamentals class where you can learn form and all of the exercise names (so helpful when the classes start to move faster through transitions). The community is great as well. The space is minimal so you can focus on your workout. They offer combination classes like Sculpt and Cycle as well to integrate cardio into the mix as well. read more

So I came to Elevate feeling super fit. After all, I lift weights and do cardio and am pretty athletic. Boy, was I wrong. Never in my life have I seen definition after TWO classes as I did with Elevate. It's super hard and definitely burns a lot. I still can't fully complete a class with no breaks and I've done everything from orange theory to crossfire to f45. It's amazing to workout muscles you probably didn't know you have and blatantly see results and definition. I've noticed great results faster than any other workout I've ever done. Most of the teachers are absolutely great although a couple of them don't seem to know how to work with newer people which is pretty weird. The only other downside is the membership options and how expensive it is once you're done with the two week trial. read more

Tried this place after trying the one in Little Italy. Just as awesome and easier to park at! Studio looks great. Nice cubbies for your stuff. Friendly staff and other people working out were warm and inviting - at least before the workout. Afterwards everyone is blown out. Great instructors - Bekah and Baubi will kick your butt. The workout is amazing. The results are amazing. The studio is clean and they have many talented instructors. I will never discredit the transformation that is Bodyrok-Solana beach. That said....I've rarely experienced such poor client service. The problem comes when circumstances require an auto pay cancelation. Double charges...continuing charges well after your cancellation...weeks of no responses from owners that would have facilitated an earlier cancellation and thus $189.00 saved. $1000+ later....you'd think a client would be treated courteously. Not so. Look...Bodyrok changed my body. I often went 3-4x a week. The burn is worth the payoff. I was a consistent member for 6 months. But...I will never understand how 1 instructor had the gumption to tell me during class...."Oh, you have bad knees? This place isn't for you". I'm working to avoid double knee replacements and made that clear to every instructor and the owners long before committing to the monthly auto-pay fee of $189.00. To tell me this in class...when I'm working my butt off..is beyond me. I could never stomach taking from that instructor again. Nor did I ever receive an apology in any way shape or form. Workout 10 STARS. Customer service less than 1. Friendly environment 1. I wish it were different. But I'm afraid this was my experience. I hope you don't have the same. read more

Is there a way to give Sculpt 12 stars? It's THAT amazing. I work out a ton: distance running, hiking, yoga, Bikram, Pure Barre, etc. and love every activity I do, but Sculpt Pilates Plus is definitely my favorite of the bunch. In 40 minutes, you'll feel mental refreshed and physically depleted - but in a great way. The routine is difficult, but you don't need a Pilates background to get started. The music is upbeat, the instructors are super motivating and you'll never been bored. The best part: you'll never do the same class twice, which prevents you from plateauing (my greatest issue with most routines). The craziest part - I'm already in good shape, but have already lost 0.5 inches in my waist alone - which was already flat to begin with. I've also noticed slimming in my thighs and my endurance has increased a ton during my 10+ mile runs. Whether you're a newbie or a workout veteran, give it a shot. You will NOT regret it. read more

I attended a free Yelp class here in the morning. The class was one of their signature-pilates like classes, but dumbed down for beginners since none of us had been there before. I've only used one other pilates reformer, but I couldn't spot the differences on this machine; it seemed pretty much the same as my previous experience. We did a lot of ab work (CORE 40, obviously) and some lunges. The instructor demonstrated most of the poses for us. I wasn't a huge fan of the music, but I suppose it's supposed to be upbeat and inspiring to keep you going. The mic and music turned me off, but it's a total personal preference. I will say that the ab exercises didn't seem that intense while I was doing them, but HOLY COW each and every part of my abs hurt the next day - so I guess whatever crazy moves on that machine were working. I would love to attend more classes here, as the exercises seem to really target areas of your body you cannot get to without the machine. However, the prices are some of the highest I have ever seen, and it is most definitely out of my budget to attend classes here, unfortunately. If you have deep pockets and are looking for a good ab workout, this is your place. read more

O.M.GGG. probably one of the toughest classes i have taken in a while - LOVED IT! STUDIO AMBIANCE: small studio located upstairs in the plaza off Pacific Coast Hwy, same location near CPK. it was nice and clean with plenty of reformer machines waiting around to be used. i like that they had lockers instead of open cubby holes against the wall. in the next room over there were spin bikes as well. CLASS/TEACHERs: Being out of shape i was a little nervous as i know Pilates can be intense but super excited as they have the best /latest and greatest reformer machines out there! Our teacher showed us the ins and outs quickly and got straight to it. WOW, i was dying! A lot of core, some upper and lower body workouts all in 40 mins... and boy that was an efficient 40 mins. She kept the class super basic which means i'm very out of shape bc of how sore i am or this class totally does the job (hopefully the second option!) haha. essentially it was a lot of resistance training using the machines. SPECIALS: they have an intro rate for new comers - 4 for $40, meaning 4 classes for $40 that you gotta use in, i believe, a month. not bad for a badass workout! PARKING: it's off PCH but there is a private lot with tons of spots as its located in a strip mall on the second level. drive around to the right/back and you'll just need to walk up stairs to the front door. read more

I just recently purchased the monthly unlimited package after trying this workout method for a while! I have a few reasons as to why I chose this workout method and specific studio: 1. I felt and saw results immediately (after just a few classes)! Other workout classes I've taken never left me noticing an immediate change. Seeing quick results makes you all the more addicted in taking classes. 2. These instructors at Solana Beach Elevate really are the best. It's hard to find a studio where EVERY instructor is kind, patient and non-judgmental. I've really enjoyed Bekah, Chandler and Sabrina in terms of preference but truly all the instructors are great! 3. If you're new to Pilates their team is great at slowing it down and showing you each movement step by step. You just have to vocalize that you need assistance. 4. It never felt like a "sales pitch" it terms of selecting a workout package. The girl who helped me explained each package and encouraged me to continue coming as I was and when ready she'd help me pick the right one for my life style. It's hard to find a workout place that isn't forceful with selling their packages. 5. The atmosphere here is bright, relaxed and fun! I've taken other pilates classes through class pass where the room is dark, music is too loud and it's hard not to feel anxious. If you're looking for a Pilates studio in the area, I would recommend trying out Elevate, you won't be disappointed! read more

It hurt so good! I took my first class at Sculpt Pilates last Saturday and will definitely be back for more. The class was organized and fast paced and the instructors were energetic and motivating. I couldn't believe how fast the class went by, I think it was because we were constantly moving. The exercises were a mix of strength and stretch and not monotonous at all. I am in decent shape and this class totally challenged me. I was sore for a few days afterward so I know it worked! Great place to get your workout on, check it out! read more

I am new to Sculpt and I love it. It's super hard but after 2 classes I can already feel my body tightening in places I didn't know could be tight! Another benefit - it's only 40 minutes! Perfect for people who want to get in, work hard, and get out feeling great. It's worth the price! My only tip for a beginner would be to take the intro class first because there is a lot going on if you're not used to a reformer machine. read more

I used to be a gym rat til I met Core40. It is one of my favorite boutique studios in the San Diego area. It's nothing like I've ever done before. The movements are controlled and slow and before you know it, you're dripping sweat and you haven't picked up a single free weight. The instructors are knowledgeable and very different in their teaching styles. My fave is Miss Jenna; so full of energy and nothing less than motivating. She's one of the biggest reasons I come back week after week. Her CoreCombo classes are my favorite: 25 min of spin set to fun music and 25 min of core work on the Megaformer. And I can't forget Alona; that woman makes sure you don't leave the studio without feeling like you just got your ass handed to you.
