Hands down, the best one on one swim lessons! I had tried may different "franchise"/local swim…read moreschools and nothing seemed to help my girls learn. But I committed to the 10 week program this past fall and within the first week I knew this was going to be worth my time and money! Lauren and Krista are both amazing at what they do and not once did they let our girls give up. They do this because they are passionate about teaching kids how to swim and survive! I can't recommend them enough! I'm already looking forward to the short refreshers they offer closer to summer time! FYI the pools are heated and even if it's cold outside, the kids will not be freezing in the pools!

We relocated from San Francisco to San Diego and moved into a home with a pool, so making sure our kids were safe around water was one of my top priorities. I actually scheduled swim lessons for our daughter, Emmy, with Krista before we even moved here! Emmy started lessons when she was 2, continued again the next summer at 3, and this past summer our son Hayes joined in at just 1.5 years old. Krista has such a gift with young children -- she's patient (yet firm), calm, and knows exactly how to make them feel comfortable and confident in the water. We've seen incredible progress each summer. Both kids have not only learned essential water safety skills, but they also love being in the pool now. The peace of mind knowing my young children are safe around water is truly priceless, and it makes living in Southern California (and being around so much water) so much less stressful. Swim Synergy has been such a wonderful experience for our family, and we're already looking forward to lessons again next summer!

They were not our first club, but they were certainly our last before aging out. It's was made very clear at the beginning that the player must prove their commitment and dedication to the sport. Not the club, the sport. If that means double practice then that's what you do. Many of the girls have gone on to play in the collegiate level, national team, and so forth. Waterpolo is an expensive sport no matter where you play. Seaside is a business and experiences the pressures of the economy just like everyone else. Last minute changes to schedules, games, and tournaments happen to every single club regardless of stature, there's no getting around that. You get what you give, and I don't mean monetarily. They are there to coach, not be your friend and that's exactly what they do. The families we met, the friends we've gained, and the experiences we shared will always have a place in our hearts. The level of coaching and support by Coach H and Seaside will take you as far as you want it to. 3 negative reviews out of the HUNDREDS of players they've embraced and lives they've impacted should not deter a single soul from joining Seaside Water Polo. We will always remain grateful and thankful to Coach H, his staff, and the organization.

Seaside Water Polo is disappointing to say the least. After 8 years, a lot of hard work, time &…read moreenergy, and of course a ton of money they let one of their original, longest time players walk away without even a goodbye, thank you, or wish you well. They are all talk, what they really care is about the pocket book and the money coming in. They up the prices without giving explanations, reasons, or itemizations on why. They simply hide it in tiny print at the bottom of the email hoping no one notices and just pays. Coach H has horrible poolside manner, not only to the girls, but to the parents as well, as I have witnessed personally. They get away with that they do because they basically have a monopoly on club water polo teams in the southern north county, and he knows it. Many times my daughter wanted to switch clubs and even willing to drive further for practice but we decided to stay loyal to Seaside, which obviously stood for nothing. The last straw was Coach H bringing 2 international girls on to the 18U team to play for Junior Olympics. These girls were put in to play before the original team members were put into the game. Makes a parent start to wonder if maybe other families had paid the big bucks like the International families had paid to play maybe they would have gotten as much playing time. Completely unjust to the whole other team of girls who have been practicing ALL YEAR ROUND for this but the 2 international girls come in for 2 weeks ahead and are playing the entire time. Money talks I guess. And wait, the most interesting part I found in all of this, is Junior Olympics is run by USA WATER POLO. But we have 2 girls playing from other countries before our own girls from the USA. Coach H would like to call himself a true Patriot, as I've heard by his polarized political comments through out the years, but after witnessing this scheme at Junior Olympics he is far from an American Patriot. Take my advice and give your hard earned money and child to a club that actually cares about teaching them the sport of water polo and what it means to be loyal and hard working. You will all benefit, I promise! And do not forget the fact that our hard earned money was not being put into background checks for our coaches.

I spoke with her on the phone and we decided to set up a mommy and me class for a 3 week session. She assured me the class would be structured and the children would learn water safety. When we arrived for the first lesson, the teacher (her daughter) hardly even introduced herself and seemed completely unorganized. I was so embarrassed because I had coordinated these lessons for my friends and I. All of the moms expressed concern to me and one even quit the lessons that day as she said it was the biggest waste of her time EVER. I felt horrible. I emailed Teri and stated that we were really looking for more structure and she assured me that her daughter was just evaulating the kids. The second lesson we received a hand out and you could tell the instructor was trying a bit harder to engage with the kids; however, it still did not feel like a swim lesson at all, it felt like we were just using their pool! The third lesson, the instructor again didn't really engage with the children. I am most disturbed that when I called to cancel the lessons, Teri never returned my calls or email. It would have been much more professional to call me back and address my concerns and see how we could resolve the situation. I am extremely disappointed in the service I recieved. Luckily, some of my neighbors happened to be having a conversation about using her services and when I realized who they were talking about, I explained to them not to use this swim school! They decided to attend another local business.
