Making the appointment through Vagaro was easy, walked me through a thorough intake form, and allowed me to choose my esthetician. I went with Allegra who was a darling from the minute I stepped into Dermaspace. Any worries or fears quickly drifted off given the dim lighting, chill music and zen ambiance. Allegra had a sweet personality, explained the entire process from start to finish, was knowledgeable about anything related to skincare and health, and most importantly, gentle. The facial was around an hour and fifteen minutes, including a discussion of my skin concerns, allergies, goals, etc. It consisted of roughly four total steps: 1) Gentle facial cleansing and exfoliation 2) Moisturization and detoxification using yucca soaked cloth within a volcanic heated cone 3) Deep cleaning of my entire face, clearing out any and all clogged pores 4) Ionization facial wrap of nourishing cotton with a leather mask connected to low voltage electrical current in order to ionize the solution. Afterwards, my face felt completely refreshed and as if years were taken off. There is a reason it has won the best facial in Seattle/PNW for many years--the treatment is truly results driven and very effective. I plan to be back soon.

Maps told me it would take 45 minutes to get there. I guess it thought I would be going 15mph the whole way. I was finally able to call them to let them know I was almost there. The receptionist said it's 10 minutes into your appointment time so she won't be able to do your treatment but she can still do your consultation. I walked in 2 minutes later and she said she couldn't do it. I said I just got of the phone and they said I could so she went back to ask the nurse Erin if she could do it and she said no because her next client was going to be there in 15 minutes. The consultation I needed was one she had already given me. It would have taken 2 minutes. Needless to say I won't be returning.

I had a bad experience at this clinic. The initial issue I had was a billing matter. The explanation I was given didn't make much sense to me. The initial person I spoke with seemed a bit unsure as to why the second treatment was so much more expensive, so she told me that she had to look into it more and get back to me. I called the office again a few days later and spoke to someone else who worked in their office. She gave me a completely different explanation from the first individual that I spoke with, and I was no less confused after speaking with their second rep. She eventually told me that she was just relaying the notes that had been left in my file by their manager. So, I asked if I could speak with her manager directly to get a more detailed explanation. I was connected to the manager, and I believe her name was Ronnie. The first thing that Ronnie said to me when she got on the phone was something along the lines of "I'm just going to tell you the same thing that the last person told you." I found this initial greeting to be unnecessary and a bit condescending. She was the third person I spoke with at their office who attempted to explain to me why my second bill was so high, and her explanation was no less vague, inconsistent, and confusing than the other two. I think what I found most annoying about the entire situation, though, was her attitude. She seemed very blasé and disinterested in rectifying the problem. It didn't even seem like she was taking the situation very seriously. In any event, I ultimately paid the bill, but my experience in dealing with their office/billing staff was far from satisfactory. They just seemed a bit sloppy and unprofessional to me. I won't be going back.

That kind of delay makes it very difficult to maintain continuity of care, especially as a returning patient. The facility is clean and very nice in the middle of madrona area. My skin was not prepped nor cleansed and product was applied directly to the skin without any prep. During the treatment the esthetician left midway to answer a phone call and kept mentioning another service they provide- a skin focused facial that would answer all of my skin needs, not the concern I was visiting the spa for. My appointment had started at 10:20 (time I walked into the building to check in) and at around 10:55 the aesthetician said we were done and I should get dressed. I received my receipt via email at 11:09. Post appointment, I didn't feel like the usual "de-puff" feeling I get when I get a lymphatic facial massage with other spas. I received a discount of 20% for being a new client (check their Yelp page) and was asked if I wanted to schedule the suggested skincare treatment.
