We went to Agawam's Java Stop for the first time today. The employees were extremely nice and were able to help us figure out what we would like from their very large menu. They have a great selection of specialty drinks that's sure to please anyone. I got their "Mixed Up Mocha" which is chocolate and white mocha. It was a fantastic combo that I will definitely come back for. If you haven't been there, do yourself a favor and stop by. The service was great and so were the drinks! read more

I'm truly shocked and impressed by Agawam's Java Stop. Did Disney produce this place, cause it's like a fairy tale! (ha ha good one holly) But seriously, the place is fantastic. They're doing everything right and I would more than recommend you try them out, I urge you! I previously read great things about this coffee shop and have been really wanting to try them ever since but 25 minutes is a bit of a drive for just a coffee. Today I finally made the trip and it was absolutely worth it, I even ordered something that usually is not so much to my liking (their special of the day with white chocolate, raspberry and amaretto). I was intrigued by the amaretto but usually white chocolate and raspberry are a little too sweet for me. This was amazing!! Yes it was still a little too sweet for my personal taste but I have NO doubt that if I had asked, they could have personalized it for me. Also, there were several selections on the menu that were more my typical taste which I absolutely can't wait to try! Moving on, also extremely important was the atmosphere and staff. The place is small but very cute and very clean. There were three staff members behind the counter when I entered and I was greeted warmly by two while receiving a friendly smile from the third. In fact I made eye contact with him maybe twice more and each time I got a nice smile, this was highly appreciated. I'm a bit of a nervous nelly and can be intimidated at times, but I felt nothing but welcome. Thank you. I'll try and make the trip as often as I can afford. It's rare to run into a good coffee shop in a place like Agawam, but the Java Stop is one of those rare gems. They've got good coffee, better lattes, and most importantly, great service. While there are certainly places you can get coffee that rivals this place, I don't think you'll find anywhere with service as good as the Java Stop. My only complaint is that it can be a bit tight when there's a lot of people (it's a small location indeed). Plenty of parking, though, and the service is worth the wait when it is that busy. Certainly, it's better coffee /and/ service than anything you'll find at Dunkin' or Starbucks. read more

I stumbled in here looking for a coffee shop to get some work done at, while the location is a little small for sitting and hanging out the hospitality more than made up for the size. I ordered a jumbo specialty drink (which was large enough to last me for hours) and a French toast bagel, and my total came out to $9.02. I was given a dollar in change instead of $0.98 which was a small gesture I greatly appreciated. Upon finding out that it was my first time at the Java Stop they warmly welcomed me, I told them I was going to stay for a while and work and they immediately provided me with their WiFi password before I even asked. Another set of customers came in after me and ordered frozen coffee and another one of the owners was kind enough to give a small cup full so I could test out their frozen coffees. As I sat working many regulars came in and were greeted as if they were friends. There are so many little touches that make this place wonderful, including their signature chocolate covered beans lining the lid of each drink they serve. What a great place, I highly recommend stopping in, you won't regret it. read more

Java Stop is one of my favorite coffee shops in Western Mass. I by no means am a consistent regular at the location, but still the baristas remember my drink, are friendly and always super quick in preparing my order. The owner is super nice and all of the baristas seem to have a solid connection with the customers. I swear by their Cold Brew and haven't really strayed far from ordering that item, but they have an intense menu with a variety of options, meaning that there's definitely a drink to suit anyone's individual coffee needs. Being a barista myself, I would chose Java Stop as my everyday coffee shop if it were closer to me, but I ALWAYS make it a priority to stop by when I'm passing through Agawam. read more

I stopped into Java Stop today after hearing about it on a best coffee shops in MA list. If you like unique, flavored lattes this is the place to go! They had about 20+ flavors available hot, iced, or frozen style. I tried a latte with real peanut butter and chocolate, iced, and it was extremely tasty. It came with sweet little chocolate coffee bean too. For regular coffee drinkers they offer Pierce Brothers and Death Wish Coffee (extra caffeine). There was a variety of muffins and pastries as well. My husband ordered a coffee roll that was approximately the size of my toddler's head. This is a small cafe with only five or so seats total so it isn't really a place to spend a relaxing day, but they do have a bench outside as well. Parking is fairly ample and shared with a gardening center and ice cream stand. read more

Literally my favorite coffee place ever. First off, it's super cute and quaint. It has that little town vibe to it which I love. The service is amazing - the staff are always so friendly. Then of course the coffee... I've been hooked on iced cookies and cream coffee and I can't bring myself to order anything else when I go. It's to die for. I've also tried the peanut butter coffee (I forget the exact name) which was also delicious - never thought about combining peanut butter and coffee but it was amazing! I love all of their creative coffee options: I've never been to a coffee place with so many unique flavors / combinations of flavors. My only critique would be that I wish they didn't use frozen patties for their egg sandwiches. It would be nice if they fried an egg right then and there. I'd also like some more healthy breakfast options, because more often than not, when I'm coming here to get coffee, I'm probably hungry but don't really like to fill up on pastries/donuts which is what they mainly have. But that's a minor critique and all in all I wouldn't change this place for anything. read more

Amazing coffee! Not bitter...brewed to perfection. The staff is wonderful. Every time I stop in, I try another flavor combination. They have so many to choose from, and I have yet to find one I dislike. I appreciate that they carry your choice of cow's milk, almond milk, or soy...and for those watching their waistlines or sugar intake...many of the flavors are also available in sugar free. They have everything. Any sort of flavor combination, along with the best donuts, breads, and cookies in the area. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and though it is sometimes crowded because it is a bit small, the line moves along pretty quickly.
