Mexican restaurant located in a small town as I was passing by and trying it out with a friend. Parking was limited on the small lot they had but you are able to park in the side street. We were greeted and seated with fast and friendly service. The place seems to be busy and popular with the locals. Started off with some chips and salsa. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. Sat at table 18 tonight, was given water and menus but nothing else ever. Tried to get chips at the bar but was ignored. Tried to tell the host we were leaving, but no one ever came. Left hungry 30 minutes after we arrived. We would have waited as long as it took if someone would have even offered chips but no such luck. read more

Little lunch BIG Drink! Went here off a neighbor recommendation and happy we took the drive to try this small restaurant. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a couple dishes and of course a michelada. Food chosen- The boyfriend got a fajita burrito and it came smothered in a Good way with white cheese. He made it a point to finish the entire burrito. I ordered the lunch fajita- mixed with chicken and steak. Flavor was amazing and came with all the toppings your little heart could imagine. First off this place is a gem in a small town! Probably a great hidden gem! The place has everything from outside seating, plenty of indoor seating, great atmosphere and killer killer food! First time there and my wife had been here before for work! The service was outstanding and the quality and quantity of food is outstanding! I got the the sampler platter and it comes with a taco, chili relleno, chalupa and enchiladas along with beans and rice! The tastes were outstanding and packed with flavor! The white cheese sauce is the best I've had! Get it with the chips for sure! Margaritas come in 16,22,40 and 60 ounce options! Yep 60 ounces! We will be going back for sure many many times! Small town restaurant. I would say they have 15 or 20 tables. They were a steady busy for a Tuesday evening at 6pm. Upon being seated we were brought two chip baskets and two salsas for our family of five, two adults and three small children. The salsa flavor was good. Everything else pretty much had the same bland taste. I ordered a burrito Jalisco, which is a chicken burrito. It had chicken and steak and the steak was cooked to nearly beef jerky consistency. Other adult guest said the same about the steak in his fajitas rancheros. Two kids quesadillas meals were ordered. I thought it was very odd that they were not cut. Just a giant cheese filled tortilla folded in half. I'm not sure if they were short staffed but service seemed very slow. Our food took just over twenty minutes. After food arrival we only seen our server once. We tried to get his attention multiple times over nearly thirty minutes to get our bill. It seemed like he was purposely ignoring us. Asked another server for our tab and she said okay and proceeded to clean some tables and then go start taking payments at the host stand. We finally just went up to pay and then had to tell her what our order was so she could locate it. I also thought it was strange that they had a large table that is half booth half chairs available yet sat us at a small table with five chairs right in the middle. My kids were of course terrorists with the amount of waiting we endured. They would have been much easier to contain at a booth style table. read more

We've gone here several times and are never disappointed. This has become our new go-to restaurant when we're craving some margaritas and good food. They have a large menu with basically any dish that you could ask for. We've ordered the enchiladas, burritos, and the chimichangas in the past. All were pretty delicious. Their margaritas are great, well-priced, and be sure to try their variety of flavors. We're excited to enjoy their patio this summer once it warms up. read more

I had higher expectations for this place based off there google reviews but was quickly disappointed. I love myself a good hole in the wall Mexican restaurant with authentic food, but this was not that. The atmosphere reminded me of "hole in the wall" restaurant, but all parts of dinner were a let down. The on the ricks traditional margarita was way too sweet and The chorizo queso was also a miss as it was luke warm and not mixed together (chorizo and cheese). The worst was our entrees, we got a burrito and the #1- beef tacos with rice and beans. The rice and beans were the worst I've ever had at a restaurant and the beef in the tacos had no seasoning, just cooked hamburger. Huge let down. Service was ok, it just felt like we were being rushed out of the place. Giving two stars because I'm sure they are understaffed like so many places right now. My family loves this place!! I've tried a few different things over the last few years and all have been excellent. We tend to go Monday's for lunch and they have a young man for a waiter and he always does a fantastic job, very attentive. Salsa is always tasty and the chips are always warm. A tasty treasure in rural central Minnesota. I have eaten there twice now and can't wait to return. The salsa is thick and fresh. The servings are ample. And the food is delicious. The first time I tried a combo plate including a burrito and enchilada and chili relleno. All very tasty (although the skin of the chili was a bit tough.) Last night I had carnitas which came with a guacamole salad, rice, and beans. OMG--so good, and so plentiful that I took home enough for another meal. I wanted to save room to try the flan--so glad I did. The flan was really decadent and yummy. Excellent service. The wait staff is most attentive and friendly. read more

Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere, my brother asked if we were in South Dakota. Heard good things from neighbors. It's a small restaurant in Mayer. Very good service! Excellent food, we had everything from quesadillas, shrimp tacos, taquito and enchiladas. All were excellent! Very fast service and extremely attentive!!! Also the queso dip was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was hot. They had a wall unit air conditioner for the whole place. On a really hot day you my want to skip this place!!! read more

Go out-state to eat. Drive away from Minneapolis. People are more friendly and it is a better value. We ate there last night, good food and service. A basket of warm tortilla chips and salsa almost bet us to a booth. Drinks came quickly, cold Mexican beer and frozen watermelon margarita. Our server, Brian, was nice and efficient. The kids meals were good sized and tasted good. The wife had a burrito that she loved and my queso fundido was good and plentiful. I asked for extra corn tortillas, Brian brought me lots, no charge. We were recommended to go eat here.. heard it was the best place to eat.. we were not impressed... we went in for lunch and noticed that the place really wasn't clean at all.. our server was great... but the corona my husband ordered was pretty much warm. I had ordered a strawberry blended strawberry daiquiri..virgin considering I was driving.. which was terrible... the food we ordered... we were not impressed... I would not recommend this place at all tell you the truth.... We have a Mexican restaurant in Chaska we've been to twice and this place does not even compare to it... go to Chaska try them cuz we will not be back and how sad. read more

Great Mexican food for a great price. One of our main stays. My personal fav is the chimichanga meal. But everything we have had here is great! Service is a tough one. They made it through COVID but we all know how staffing is. When you get in and get a seat, it's great. But sometimes it's hard to get through. Calling in a to go order is sometimes impossible. Their line is always busy. But hopefully they are working on that. Because it's worth the wait to me. So good!! read more
