Stumbled upon this place looking for some Mexican food after a few cocktails in the area. This place was awesome! Will definitely go back! The food looked and tasted fresh. Three stars is generous. Pros: Free parking in lot clean and cute Good chips and queso. Slightly better than chipotle. Adequately pleasant employees. (Maybe a touch on the short and serious side). Cons: Out of carne asada, which I came for. Super expensive margaritas. Like 30% too much. I would have been a player at $7-$8 at a place like this but more than 9-12 for fast food? Nope. Bowl was watery. Fajita veggies were undercooked, almost raw Guacamole was super watery and had no flavor. Quesadilla was ridiculous. Only one out of four quarters had more than two tiny morsels of meat. It lacked the buttery toasty flavor on the outside of the quesadilla. Was soggy and oily outside. Food under-seasoned. Overpriced for quality for sure. Maybe we just hit them on a bad night. Hope so. read more

This spot has a nice little parking space, if you're craving some chipotle style build your own burrito, this is the place to go! What's so fantastic is they have Al pastor as your meat option! Their burritos are huge and is filling for two adults! We got a side of chips and mild salsa it was pretty good! I love that the BYOB has seasoned Mexican rice as an option it's so delicious! Their decor is so unique and it's so spacious inside, I would come here again, the prices are great! 10.50 for burrito and 5.50 for large bag of chips and salsa! read more

I kept reading reviews that said this place was like Chipotle, but good. I think Chipotle is pretty decent so I was intrigued. I'm glad I went. The food was really good, definitely very fresh, that you can tell. The gentleman at the counter taking my order and making the food was helpful with recommendations, and very friendly as well as helpful. The only sort of nitpicky thing I could add would be that I would appreciate more seasoning on the steak. I foolishly skipped taking a pic of my food because I was super hungry and ate it before I remembered. Loved that they have Mexicokes cold and ready to go. The ambiance is really nice with thoughtful decor, even down to the beautiful tile in the restroom. read more

I thought my dinner plans were hopeless, but then I met YOU... Above average taste. Mid tier price (yes cheaper than Chipotle and much better value) HUGE portions. Besides the fact that another customer was racist to us at a latino inspired restaurant which is ironic, the place has a nice vibe to it. The workers were so nice! I came here because all the reviews say it reminds them of a better chipotle which is true. It's more expensive than chipotle but it taste better in my opinion. The horchata is too sweet so i wouldn't recommend it. The red sauce was too spicy for my boyfriend, the guacamole was fresh. The salsas are probably not made in house and are actually bottled salsas like Valentina & Yucateco. Overall the food is actually really good just a little pricy. Authentic music sung in Español. The only downside is that there is no unsweet tea. The young woman at the counter was exceedingly wonderful. Nephew took us out-of-towners to this place as he really likes it. You order your meal at the counter and watch them prepare it. Place was clean and food was good. My only problem was my burrito was HUGE, so could not complete and had no where to store for a few hours. Restroom was very clean and updated with a diaper change table. I really wanted to like this place! Locally owned, great interior, dedicated parking downtown, friendly staff...but the food was not good when we went (Sat evening of Thanksgiving weekend). My chicken burrito bowl was really salty- even the rice. And, everything was flavorless. It was really weird. I was with four adults - two of whom are really not picky at all, and we all agreed it was pretty bad. My mom said of her carnitas burrito "this all tastes like it's watered down". Maybe it was a bad time to go after the holiday? I like the Morales food at their other locations. I was surprised by how flavorless this all was. I doubt I'll ever go back to Agave. read more

It's a must try in Lincoln! Very similar offerings as 2 well known chain Mexican Grill restaurants (those which shall not be named), but wayyyyy better and local.
