Food is so good. Menu changed recently and some of our faves were removed but still plenty to choose from. I can make a meal out of 2 tacos. Margs are great. Plenty of seating options, rarely a wait. read more

This place has very unique tacos that are large enough for you to have 2 or 3 depending on your hunger level. I had 3 with an appetizer and was extremely full. I went on a Taco Tuesday and it was extremely busy. On their taco Tuesday menu they had several specials for half priced drinks and specialty tacos. The service was fast and friendly and was willing to give recommendations of their favorites. read more

Agave and Rye - The rooster , Gangster and the Cali Girl - Tacos Near Me - Hamilton, Ohio

On June 20th, Saturday, arrived at Agave & Rye to celebrate a birthday and put our name in for a table at 7:20 pm. We were told it would be around a 30-35 minute wait. At 7:55, our party of five was seated. Our server was great, she promptly got our drinks and chips & dip order. Then a short time later she took our food order; it was probably around 8:15-8: 25. Over an hour later, we still had not been served our dinner. I finally stopped the manager who was going around to various tables and advised him our food had been ordered (at this point) almost 1 1/2 hours ago. The manager stated he would look into this, that he would come back to our table and provide an update and would also discount our order due to the extended wait time. Shortly after this, our food was finally brought out by our server. However, the manager never came back. He never came back to let us know what happened and never checked on us. When it came time for us to get our bills, there was no discount either. The server was super nice, and took our checks back and had the manager add the discount. The main thing is, the restaurant wasn't even full. At least 1/3 of the tables were empty, there were quite a few people waiting for a table outside, as we had stepped out a few times during our wait and spoke with people who were waiting to be seated for over an hour. I did hear the hostess advising people that they were very short-staffed, which would explain why there were so many empty tables. But the manager should have at the very least come back to speak with our table and maybe also jumped in to help in the kitchen or elsewhere to get things moving. Our server was great & did the best she could. By the time we left the restaurant, it was around 10:30 pm. read more

HIDDEN CHARGES!!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!! I had a wonderful lunch here with my wife on our anniversary. Service was great and relaxed as was the atmosphere. We had a nice taco lunch and margaritas for a reasonable price. However, they chose to RUIN the occasion with the bill. They tacked on a $2.85 "kitchen fee" that was UNDISCLOSED (at least so far as any reasonable person might notice) until the bill landed. I asked our server about it and he sheepishly told me "Umm, they tell us that helps upkeep the... kitchen...?" I asked if they could remove it and he said he could ask management. I was paying in cash and I told him I don't need change and I'm not adjusting my payment. They can take it from me or they could take it from him. I will NEVER go back to this greedy/shady place. SHAME because it could have been good. My anniversary lunch was RUINED by having to complain to an unempowered manager about their greed. He said they get a lot of complaints about that charge and recommended I leave a review online to get the owners' notice. WELL HERE YOU GO. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. read more

So overrated I have been there at least six times and I've got something different every time and I haven't liked anything. Their prices are way too high do not recommend two out of 10 but my daughter loves it. read more

I've been here twice once to eat and once for strawberry margaritas. I do like the frozen margs it's a perfect pair the guacamole, queso a salsa trio! Go for it! It's been a busy place both times I've been there, but the service was prompt and quite helpful with all the different flavors of tacos. The place has a very dark, artsy feel to it - great place definitely check it out! read more

This place is a go to restaurant. Great draft beer choices (they even have their own brand). The chips and salsa/ queso cheese are handmade ( fried) and huge. The tacos were double wrapped and very tasty. One had chicken and bacon with lots of veggies. TVs everywhere.but super cool decor and booth seating with side rooms for smaller parties. The place was hopping. read more

Hi! We went there my fiancés birthday and the vegetarian tacos were actually quite delicious! The service was wonderful as we sat at the bar but the margarita was premade so it was too sugary and so incredibly sour. The quesadilla did look pretty but it was very soggy and the meat was incredibly chewy. The food was disappointing when considering the cost overall. read more

Very interesting mix of eccentric tacos. I do like the fact that you can get a flight and mix and match any type of tacos for a three taco plate. When eating here please be aware that a "taco" isn't like any other taco you have. The flavors will be munch mixed up as they have taco flavors such as a big Mac type taco. Service was good if you came out very quickly we came on a snowy day so there wasn't a lot of people there at the time. There's a lot of Loud TVs on the wall, which make it a little distracting For a more intimate setting the ambience or the decorations in the area very unique and eclectic. Which makes it very unique will definitely go again and try a different options. Favorite taco I had there was some type of sweet Thai chicken type taco and the Gigantor. read more

This ended up being a pretty good evening. I did not know there was a location all the way out here in Hamilton. I'll be honest the ambiance of this place was really cool! Really going for something unique that they don't have it a lot of their other locations. Service was great from Megan and we are always just here for the food for the most part. All of the tacos are amazing but I think I have three favorites. The alderman, the crab and lobster one, and the one with the mac and cheese in it. I tend to just get at least one of those every time I go I'll try new things. But everything is so very unique and interesting! read more

Super cute interior with plenty of space. I loved the televisions that were directly above the tables in each small alcove. While a bit pricy, I'm happy there's an option for a small flight of tacos to try multiple. I also loved the margaritas even if they're also expensive. read more

The boss lady tacos are perfection. The flavorful bean fritters are the star of the show. The salsa is delicious with the crispy chips. The elite corn is packed with flavor. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of seating. The decor is eclectic. The vibe is pretty loud with music inside. read more

Really nice place. Food was good, service was great and the prices were ok. I would definitely come back .

Great place to eat and drink. We loved the decor, the service was outstanding and friendly. The food was great and the drinks were great as well. But, my big however is that for 3 small Gangsta tacos, 1 burrito and two cocktails, with tip the bill was almost $100. The cocktails are expensive $15 each in a short glass. The food was good and reasonably priced. I now know why half price drinks on Mondays is so popular. We went to the restaurant on a Wednesday. So, in my opinion the management needs to make a decision to either double the size of the cocktails, reduce the prices, or double the size of the food. Right now. I wouldn't recommend the. restaurant as it is overpriced. read more

My son took me here for lunch. The ambiance is typical day of the dead. Our server seated us & took our drink order immediately while we perused the menu. I ordered the Alderman taco & OG corn fritters. My son got quesabirria tacos. Our order came out in about 10 minutes. I've gotten the corn fritters before & I'm pretty sure they were served over a bed of elote corn. The corn fritters were delicious but definitely missing the elote corn that rounded off the dish nicely. My son enjoyed his tacos. Our bill shows a "merchant fee" of $1.07 & that is just tacky! Eating out is expensive enough without adding hidden fees. I doubt I'll be back if I have to pay a fee to order your food. read more

Gotcha Day Celebration to Remember -- First Time at Hamilton Location! We're the Bothast-Revalee family from Oxford, Ohio, and every year since 2011, we've celebrated our Gotcha Day--the day our family officially became one. Agave & Rye has been part of this tradition for years, and this year we tried the Hamilton, Ohio location for the very first time. It was outstanding in every way--beautiful space, friendly staff, and food that's as bold and memorable as our celebration. Here's what we ordered: Epic Tacos: * Happy Meal * Rooster * Gangsta * Cat's Meow * Swipe Right * Chipotle Chica From the Luxe Lineup: * The Crown Jewel (lobster, truffle, mac & cheese--decadent!) * The Big Thumper (peppercorn kangaroo with mac & cheese donuts and maple syrup) * The Bayou Baddie (crispy Cajun gator with tangy remoulade and pickles) Also shared: * Sister of the Plain Jane Quesadilla - Steak Loaded, crispy, and full of flavor. A favorite every time. Every single taco brought something special--creative ingredients, explosive flavor, and beautiful presentation. The new Hamilton location absolutely delivered and made our special day feel even more meaningful. We're so glad to have this location closer to home and will absolutely be back for future celebrations (and taco cravings). Thanks, Agave & Rye Hamilton, for being part of our family tradition. --The Bothast-Revalee Family read more

Stopped in on a beautiful Saturday night. This place was packed. Great space, I love the open airiness of it. We sat at the bar. It took a while to get a drink, but the bartender was apologetic, so that acknowledgement helped. The menu was different the Liberty Center one. I had a veggie quesadillas and added the herbed grilled chicken. It was a lot of food, so I had half the next day. Definitely will be back, maybe after the hype dies down. read more

This restaurant is definitely a cool spot to visit, with the bold decor and murals and the wild menu choices. The menu is loaded with atypical Mexican options, most notably the tacos that are huge and loaded with all sorts of crazy ingredients. Everything is packed with flavor, but know that things do tend towards the spicier side. The service was attentive, and even though the restaurant was packed we got out food in a reasonable amount of time. I wish the prices were a bit cheaper, because that's the main deterrent from me going more often. read more

I'm a big fan of Agave & Rye but this was my first time at this location. It was my wife and I with our 16 y/o daughter. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. The crowd was fair. The atmosphere was great per the usual Agave & Rye theme. Our server was Jason, he was very personable and seamed to enjoy his job. He did a great job! I had a Taco flight with the Snitch, Alderman and my favorite, the Gangsta. All three were delicious. My wife had the Islander which Jason warned her about the sauce being spicy and recommended on the side, which she was glad it was in the side...way too spicy! The menu failed to mention that. My wife still loved the taco. My daughter had the chopped salad and it was also good. We all shared an order of the Corn Fritters, also delicious. We were in a bit of a hurry so I only captured one Pic of my Snitch and Gangsta. Great experience! We'll be back!! read more

Probably one of the worst meals of my life!! If they were to put the same effort into food quality as they do on decor they could have a decent dish..... where to start; I had the Birria tacos and it was a complete disaster, the meat used for the Birria clearly is not the one is supposed to be, the tacos were just a sea of bad quality cheese and 4 strips of meat, my wife's tacos were simply filled with rice and two strips of chicken, the guac & chips are absolutely disastrous, the guac was sour and clearly not fresh..... Service was disappointing as well... and the cost vs food quality is just atrocious. I work in the food industry and definitely this place doesn't deserve a better review. What a disaster of a meal. Kudos for decoration, but I rather a hole in the wall with QUALITY than an art gallery with crappy "food" read more

Start with chip's and gauc. But the Mac & cheese donuts were amazing, especially the bacon on top! , The Jalapeño pineapple margaritas and fried chicken tacos were great too! read more

I am incredibly picky about my Mexican food and this is some of the best. You can build your own taco flight and wowzers they are amazing!! The fajita is out of this world. They all have a soft and hard shell which makes so much sense for taste and structural integrity. Not really a bad option. SO good!! The inside has super cool decor and the staff is always so nice!! read more

Loved the variety of delicious options. Started with the yummy roasted Brussels sprouts. Fresh & cooked to perfection. Both of us tried the pick 3 option to sample three different tacos. Loved my experience here! First time at the new location in downtown Hamilton and it's so cute with amazing interior design and ample parking. My server Tim was very nice and extremely helpful in picking out entrees. I had the delicious Happy Pappy Taco and the corn fritters. The fritters were a clear standout, but everything was very delicious, including my little red corvette margarita. The portions were more than generous and food seriously slapped. We had a great experience on a Sunday afternoon and highly recommend the unique taco presentations and friendly service. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food ($13.75 for a "flight" of 3 tacos) provided. The menu was creative and the food was well prepared. Quesabirra tacos ($18) were absolutely delicious. Felipe was our server and he was so helpful and very friendly! Waited over 2 hours and never got our food. Server never told us that the kitchen was backed up until it had been over 2 hours so we just asked for the check. The food was amazing. Our service was a little slow, but it was a Saturday night. I highly recommend anything that has pulled pork on it.

We ate at the Restaurant in West Chester and ordered 3 small tacos , wonderful ,taste great ,good amount of food , loved it We then went to the restaurant in Hamilton , I guess I didn't read the menu correctly but what cam out was larger , not that larger and the cost seemed to be what we paid for the three. Taste good but I could have eaten more , much more and if they would have said it's medium size , my order would have changed read more

This restaurant never disappoints! The restaurant has cool decorations all around. The tables, floors and bathrooms are very clean. The servers are very polite and attentive.
