Rebecca was wonderful to work with throughout the scheduling process and, when I had an issue with my first appointment, she listened to my concerns, stood behind the company's service, and made sure to send someone else to take care of the job. It really stood out to me how seriously she took my concerns and how committed she was to making things right. The specialist she sent out was Gilbert and he was fantastic. Gilbert was incredibly professional, efficient, and respectful of my home. He installed three ceiling fans and two faucets and completed the work far faster than I expected while still doing excellent, quality work. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and just genuinely great to work with. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Handyman, and will be requesting Gilbert anytime I need some work done in my home. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project. Joel was responsive, clear about timelines, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Joel went above and beyond on every detail, and somehow still managed to get the job done quickly without cutting any corners. I'm extremely pleased with how everything turned out. On top of being a skilled craftsman, Joel is genuinely one of the friendliest, most pleasant contractors I've ever worked with. It's rare to find someone who delivers top-notch work and is a pleasure to have around. If you need drywall work done right, I can't recommend Joel and Guzman Drywall highly enough. I'll definitely be working with him for any future projects.

I just noticed that he even put my water hose back where I stored it before leaving! These little things make such a big difference! Highly recommend him for any project.

Jason is absolutely phenomenal at what he does. His craftsmanship is pure perfection. We hired…read moreJason to replace a kitchen island extension that was badly botched by a previous contractor. The previous contractor had left it with visible drywall screws wide exposed cuts, etc. It looked terrible. After panicking because our countertops were scheduled for installation and looking through Jasons Yelp photos, we knew we needed to get on Jason's schedule. He books out sometimes 3 weeks, and this was last minute. We ended up delaying our countertop installation by 3 weeks in order to have him do the work. Waiting for Jason to do the work was 100% worth having a plywood island top for those 3 weeks. He showed up on time and got right to work. His cuts are precise, and the extension he built looks like it's always been there. We ended up hiring him to extend our kitchen cabinetry to the ceiling and add crown molding to it, as well as add trim pieces to our cabinets' blank sides before we had them painted. We also hired him to modify and install a wood hood over our stove top. Everything came out perfectly. We are more than impressed with his work and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. This guy is a professional and the best kind. There was not one bad surprise with him. He even gave me some tips, as I was filling the cabinet handle holes prior to getting them painted. They came out perfectly. Thanks, Jason!

They communicated when their guy would be in my area and could stop by to look at the job and give a quote. Price was very reasonable. They not only came out and gave a quote, but said they could do it that same day! Way sooner than other places that gave quotes but wouldn't be available for a week or so. Some places wouldn't even do a job unless it was $2000 or more to make it worth their time, which my job was in the low $100s at best. They listened to my concern about another board that looked to have a portion rotted and they were able to include replacing the rotted part and not create additional seams between the boards--something I hadn't thought possible! Highlights are: good communication, great workmanship, timely service, friendly service. I definitely recommend this business!

I recently hired Austin Professional Painters for a pretty large project: we had remodeled our…read morekitchen and had installed new shiplap, headboard, and chair rail throughout the main areas of our downstairs. The cabinets and walls needed a total refresh of paint, and all that new woodwork had tons of caulking/filling/sanding/priming etc to do. Then we needed new crown molding added to our half bath, and there were several sheetrock patches plus some ceiling cracks which needed good prepping and feathering in. Also, our front and back doors needed to be repainted. So - a lot of work! And I am picky about quality. I chose Austin Professional Painting because they seemed well organized, well qualified, and ready to go at a scale of enough workers that we could get back to living in the downstairs of our house in a reasonable amount of time. Their comfort with good quality paint was also a key factor in my choice. So: the guys who came out to do the work, Carlos and Ivan - plus another couple of guys on certain days, were very nice, polite, and extremely hard working. They did a very good job and I am satisfied with the work. I would hire Austin Professional Painters again (and probably will this fall when we get around to renewing the master bath), and I definitely recommend them. I'll have to update this review with photos soon, I just need to take a bunch of them.
