As the Founder of Meticulous Massage®, she was genuinely excited to work with me, making the visit deeply personal and putting me right on cloud 9. What stood out most was her warm, intuitive approach. She is deeply attentive and METICULOUS, exactly as advertised--proving that her motto, "Precision Changes Everything," is absolutely true. This isn't just a basic massage; it's serious, thoughtful bodywork. Nedra intuitively knew exactly where I was hurting and always used the perfect, comforting pressure to melt the tension away. I left feeling completely renewed, and that beautiful sense of relief lasted for several weeks afterward. It was a deeply relaxing experience that truly changed my body. I cannot recommend her enough!

Lake Body Care Massage Therapy is located inside of an office building on the 8th floor. On evenings during the week and all day on weekends, you have to enter from the side on 77 E Washington St. I checked in with the building security first before I went up the elevators. This location is conveniently located near the CTA train station, several buses stop by, and it's also across the street from Millennium Park from the Michigan Avenue entrance. The space is really relaxing, clean, and really put together. She listened to my needs and did her thing, and I left feeling great. It's one of the best massages I've had. I'd recommend Michelle and Lake Body Care Massage Therapy to anyone in the area looking for a massage. She does a lot of different techniques like Deep tissue, Swedish, Hot Stones, even couples and prenatal. You'll have to come see for yourself. It's by appointment only, and she also only takes either cash or Zelle.

Just ok. That pretty much sums up my experience…read more I got the Swedish massage and the lady was digging her elbow in my back. I've never had a Swedish massage where someone digs their elbow in my back. I feel they do the same massage for everyone and there is no attention paid to someone's individual needs. This is fine if the establishment is charging $29 as most other massage places do that give everyone the same massage in a big room. So I guess here you are paying more money for a private room. The bed wasn't heated. I was cold every time she took the blanket off a section. The bed didn't have a head cradle at the top, was rather a hole in the table where you stick your head. At first I hated this as it was uncomfortable but I didn't get a stuffy nose like I typically do with the face cradles. So I preferred this. I don't understand the tea house portion of the name. They had random boxes of tea on a shelf in the waiting area..... Overall, if you get a "deal" then I'd say come here. I would not recommend it for the full price as you can get more customized massages elsewhere.

Upon arrival I explained I have spine and neck pain, and I was offered to upgrade to a deep tissue massage for $10 more. The room was dimly lit, very clean and there was pleasant tranquil piano music. I loved the atmosphere. My masseuse (Amy) was very good: she asked me beforehand about ongoing issues, told me to warn her if whatever she was doing hurt, and asked my permission to also massage my head/hair (apparently not everybody wants that- it was so good!) I liked that Amy made sure to give attention to my leg which I have injured, without ignoring it all together or overdoing things. I could tell from her technique she knows what she is doing. I will definitely be checking back if there are deals to go here again, or ask for a gift card for Christmas.

Getting a chair massage was at times awkward here, as many of the chairs were in plain view of people walking through to the table rooms. I once heard my CEO come through while I was getting a chair massage. I was on my lunch hour and not playing hooky, but being recognized while you're drooling into the chair isn't my idea of privacy. Got a table massage here once and the rooms are so cramped the massage therapist couldn't really get around the table easily. It caused a bit of a distraction from completely zenning out. The nail in the coffin visit I was getting a chair massage and the therapist wrenched my back so bad, doing non-massage stretches, that she tied my back up in knots and I had to go to the chiropractor twice just to get back to normal. Employee turnover here was high as well, not a good sign.

This was one of the closer options to me since I don't drive, and I was worried this was going to be a mediocre massage since it didn't cost a lot. This was actually one of the best massages I've had since shopping for them on groupon. Laura was so nice and she had wonderful pressure as well as identifying where the tension was. She used a machine first for my shoulders and back to relieve and warm up my body for about 20 to 25 minutes, then she started rubbing the knots out and it hurt so good. The conversation we were having kept me distracted from how sore my body was. She also noticed that the amount of tension on my shoulders resulted in a slight misalignment in my neck. She got most of my knots out and rubbed the rest of my body for a bit. I appreciated it so much as her husband was kind enough to also adjust my neck and back for me. An absolutely wonderful experience where I will be recommending my family and friends as well.

I made the appointment and was told I would receive an email confirmation....I received 5 (somewhat annoying). I was also asked to fill out a survey beforehand but the link did not work. When I went in for my appointment I was not asked to fill anything out. Strange. The office does not look very professional. The massage table had a drab, wrinkled sheet placed over it and I wondered if it was used by the person before me. I don't even think it was a sheet (maybe just a piece of fabric - as I don't remember seeing seams. The nerve-wracking/scary part of my experience began as I came into the building. The office is in an apartment building at the end of a hallway on the 4th floor. I had the last appointment of the day and was surprised to find the halls dim and quiet (no one around) and no receptionist at the desk. The therapist was finishing with another client and when she left I looked around expecting to see someone else. I was alone in the big, quiet building with a 50-something year old man dressed in black. Besides being creeped out that is also unprofessional, especially when a male is treating female clients. You should always have someone else around for the clients safety and comfort and therapists (so they don't get accused of anything). Since the groupon was a gift I hadn't looked into the clinic, but soon realized it was a chiropractic clinic. The groupon was for a swedish massage but the therapist did a lot of just stretching my arms and legs (which I didn't really care for and couldn't relax because of the atmosphere - being alone and the bright room). He also was cracking my fingers and toes with is painful and creeps me out, but he stopped when I asked. The massage was very mediocre and I honestly didn't feel much different after leaving. When I was leaving, the therapist asked me to fill out a survey on the computer. Again, this seemed unprofessional and he was standing right there so I felt pressure to write a good review. :( Overall, it wasn't a very good experience and I was happy to get out of there.
