Total "first world problems." Just wanted to say, the Snowbound is probably one of the most fantastic ciders I have ever had. I've got my backups at Arsenal, and they are all fabulous, but nothing is as special as the Snowbound. Yes, it really is that amazing. To The Business: THANKS! I really appreciate what you all are doing, with, the exception, of not making Snowbound year round. :) :) :)

Arsenal is conveniently located about 3 minutes off I-79 at Soergels Orchard. Today we bought a pumpkin cider and two sorbets. I believe the sorbet is a seasonal product and it is definitely worth trying out. It was extremely smooth and flavorful, and it was actually better then I thought it was going to be. As for the Apple Pumpkin flavor cider, I can not wait to try it later. I do not have any doubts that I won't love it. This is also a seasonal flavor. I love how they are continuously making new flavors and every time I arrive there is one I have yet to hear of. Their Archibald cider is my favorite and it is always available as far as I know. The bottles the cider is poured into are glass and you can bring them back every time you go back for more! When you do that, you do not have to pay the price of the bottle. If you are ever in the area, I suggest stopping in!

If you're looking for a place to relax with friends over a $5 or $6 glass of cider or wine, look no…read morefurther than Knockin Noggin. I first discovered this little charming cidery and winery from my partner who had tried the cider elsewhere. Returning from Erie, he found that we'd be passing Knocking Noggin so we swung by. We've made the trip three times now. We've only been disappointed once when my partner and I bought 4 growlers for a gathering we were having and none of them tasted good. Something happened where they were either mixed or went bad in a matter of two days. I reached out to management, and they quickly responded with apologies offering to provide us with complimentary refills. We brought our growlers back just as promised and they were refilled at no charge. Some of my favorite ciders have been the seasonal ones including Butter Beer, Pineapple, and Chocolate Strawberry. Pineapple is my top one hopefully coming back in the summertime. If you have the chance, visit this place during a town festival or even when nothing is happening to just have a wine slushy or glass of wine out on the patio. One of our last visits was during a Harry Potter Festival which was fun and interesting. Whatever you're doing, don't pass this place by, you won't be disappointed.

The appetizers were outstanding! Ordered the mega pretzel with cheese and Buffalo chicken dip! Huge portions!! The staff was beyond incredible! Very accommodating especially with our children! Offered height chairs and helped make things easier for them! So kudos for being kid friendly too! Very cozy and quiet in there, hidden gem, could relax. Enjoy your drinks and food! The prices were great too! 10/10 would recommend! Can't wait to go back!

We sampled both wine and cider, and both were excellent. I even took home a white wine, which was spectacular. Although I usually prefer reds, I couldn't pass it up. I also grabbed a bottle of the Cayuga for our daughter, which was equally tremendous. While I was busy taking photos of the sign, I noticed a man watching me. I explained that I do this at every spirits location we visit. He introduced himself as Matt and kindly suggested I take pictures from the other side of the property for a better view--and he wasn't wrong. Later, when I got home and researched the place, I learned it had been a farm since 1910, originally owned by the Devenport family until 2017. It briefly passed to another owner before being taken over by the third owners, who I met without realizing at the time. I can't wait to revisit this incredible hidden gem!

I got the cider flight of "Unicorn Blood", "Burrows Berry Brew", "Pollyjose Potion", and "Scarlet Spell". They were all fantastic and we loved trying them all. It was close, but the Scarlett spell was my favorite with the cherry/watermelon taste. The atmosphere is so fun and the staff are fun to be around. We enjoy coming here every year and honestly should come more often.

We had such a good experience the first time, we had to come back again when we were nearby. My wife prefers dry wines, I prefer sweet wines, but I'm open to all types. We both found several things we like here and were pretty surprised at the quality of the wine. We did a flight each time we went and bought bottles to go when we left both times. We don't always buy bottles unless it's something we both can enjoy together. The place had a lot of character. Someone put a lot of thought and work into the decor, design, and atmosphere of the place. It was artistic and comfortable. I always appreciate that. We chose to sit at the bar both times, but enjoyed looking around at the walls and taking a trip up the stairs for a nice overhead view of the first floor. The service was great and really is the selling point for returning. It's the number one reason that we'll go back again when we're in town. The wine tasted great, the atmosphere was nice, but it's the service that puts this place over the top. Hopefully we will always have this experience, but I do believe we had the same couple serving us both times. I'd obviously highly recommend anyone who enjoys drinking wine, going to wineries, or trying out new places.

Brown's Orchard is a family business that opened in 1933 and grows dozens of apple varieties…read more They grow well-known varieties (e.g., Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, McIntosh, and Red Delicious) as well as lesser-known varieties (e.g., Crispin/Mutsu, Grimes Golden, Ashmead's Kernel, Calville Blanc, Esopus Spitzenburg, Summer Rambo, and Geneva Crab). They also make applesauce, apple-cider juice, apple-cider vinegar, apple jam and jelly, apple butter, etcetera. Customers may purchase these products in person at the farm during their operating hours. Sometimes, they sell their products elsewhere such as Market Wagon. So far, I have bought one apple-cider juice and six bags of apples--Evercrisp, Fuji, Stayman, Golden Delicious, Crimson Crisp, and Snapdragon--and I thought that they tasted very good. I plan to try more of their apples and other products in the future.

It is primarily a store in which you can select apples and apple products for sale. On two chalkboards you can see the different types of apples that they carry and whether they are in season or out of season. You can get 3 different sizes-5 lb,10lb or half bushel. Pricing is based on the type of apple you wish to purchase. Whether you are purchasing for baking, or simply eating Brown's orchard has a great variety of apples to try. Want something different than what you'd find in the grocery store? Try a Nittany which is State College's unique apple that is a cross between golden delicious and york imperial. Course the big seller is the honeycrisp which they store in the back. I arrived when almost no one was there and within minutes this place was packed. There is no numbering system as to when your turn is but people were pleasant enough to wait accordingly. When it was my turn the man helped find a good selection of 3-4 different apples to purchase for snacking. He will bag the quantity your desire of each particular apple. I saw that they had a sign indicating you can request a sample. That sample happens to be a whole apple of your choice. I chose a Jonagold and it was so good!! These apples are a good size and not the puny ones you'd see in the grocery stores. In addition to apples, the sell 3 different types of applesauce, apple cider vinegar, apple butter, and even apple pie. Don't forget to take home a half gallon of their cider as well. I already had a cup and must admit it was one of the best ciders I had in a while. They also sell honey here. The store is built inside a large garage-apple buckets are everywhere and you can see what is selling fast. Cash and cards are accepted here. Primarily open during the fall they have weekend winter hours. Free parking is available on the property. Located about 10 miles west of I 79 heading past Cecil, it is a pleasant drive.
