Even though it's small inside, it has a nice patio in the back with cute greenery and sitting area. It was so pleasant sitting there eating with the beautiful sky above. They're the happening place to visit distilleries and breweries and now cocktail bars. We had the great opportunity to meet Kenyan Hicks the owner and distiller of Noire Distillery. He provided us a history of the different spirits that they offer. Noire Blanc is a gin that is about love, represents both he and his wife as they collaborated on this bottle. It has a strong meaning behind it that represents their relationship and provides a unique but good taste to a gin that I personally can sip on vs just mixing with a cocktail. We had the regular gin but still had a terrific taste, they have a bottle that is in collaboration with unspeakable3920 next door and can be sampled here, but only purchased next door. It's another special bond that represents another great spirit. Now my favorite was the rested gin. I had recently learned while traveling that gin is being aged in barrels. He had one that he aged in a barrel over a short period of time. The flavors that we received was cinnamon up front and nutmeg on the back end. It's at 105 proof, provides a rich and unique taste to a gin that can be a sipper vs traditionally mixing as a cocktail. He said he didn't lose much while aging in a barrel from Wigle Whiskey. We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force.
