We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We're already looking forward to our next visit when we're in the area again. Don't forget to thank them for their service when you stop by!

Made a 2nd visit to "The Property" by Nova Destinations in Pulaski for an afternoon of munchies and…read moredrinks with the family. With four separate mini destinations, each with its own alcohol and food menu, The Property is has become one our family "must go" locations to get together. There was some off and on rain when we went but each location on The Property provided shelter until the clouds passed. Nothing stopped our little party and we had fun with the sprinkles. We also brought our fur baby Boo who was welcome at all buildings both indoors and outside with her leash. The staff was very friendly and kept us well served with food and delicious drinks. My favorites include Nova's blended sweet wine The Dragon, a Concord Red wine, and Skallywag Distilling's Limoncello. After roaming the various locations (shuttle is also provided if you desire) you can collect your own bottles of your favorites in the building at the exit. That way you aren't lugging your choices throughout the day.

It's not easy to find if you're not from the area, there is no sign from the main road & only a tiny sign (building just looks like a non-descript warehouse). It's 3 miles east of I-79. Parking in back. North Country brews on tap, small food menu, great live music (which was why I came), darts, bingo in a large warehouse space. Tables available, you run a tab at bar & they give you a number if you order food & bring it out to you. Kitchen is a food trailer in parking lot. They had delicious homemade ham & cabbage soup and the biggest basket of fresh cut fries with beer cheese we ever had! They have a light beer, pale ales, stout, sours, IPA's. I think they may have limited local PA spirits too. Outdoors they have tents, fire pits & some heat lamps. Twinkle lights inside at night provide ambiance. We enjoyed our first experience. North Country Brewing owns this, the pub on Main St, Harmony Inn & Freedom Farms. Oh and they have plastic pint glasses, first time I've had one of those!

I've had IPA's before here and they are decent. They had none on tap today, mainly just their smoothie sours. They have a cool little spot by Firestone Farms. When the weather is nice the outdoor space is great. With the weird weather recently, they haven't opened it yet. I will say I haven't had a bad beer from here before. I was traveling through the area and decided to stop for a flight on the way home. One thing to say is that their smoothie and ice cream style beers are thiiick! They aren't your typical beers. After glancing down the menu I decided to have a flight of four. All were amazing. I had a rum barrel aged Hawaiian Punch, a peanut butter that tasted like drinking melted peanut butter ice cream, a chocolate & peanut butter one and the last was a peanut butter and jelly ice cream smoothie sour. The last one tastes just like you were drinking an uncrustable. Crazy good. The folks here are really friendly. The only negative to me and it's just me was that I was bloated on the way home. The glasses in the flights are about 7oz's but because the drinks are so thick I just felt blah. But the beer was amazing despite that. Definitely recommend and maybe have a friend share with you.
