I recently got a flat tire and had to have my car towed there. They communicated well, offered a replacement tire of the same value, but I wanted the more expensive but safer run flat, which they got. I'm not sitting on the side of the road again! It came with a warranty. They did a nice job. I will be back!

It cast a bit of a pall on an otherwise awesome show. I remembered several people chiming in how great Cragon Automotive is, and they were very kind to me on the phone when I reached out for another automotive issue prior. So I got Kevin on the line as he was returning from a trip to get some parts. Listening, he expressed empathy and asked me to drive over there and he would at least get the window taped up. The challenge was- I have a Hybrid vehicle, and that special battery is located right underneath the back seat. In other words- any rain will kill my car getting into that battery- or at worst provide a rather "electrifying" experience- and not of the good kind... BUT- leave it to Kevin here, and his "three wise men" to not only secure the car with heavy plastic over cardboard, sealing it tight- but he kindly vacuumed out the back seat that was still covered with glass. He is going to get back with me once he is able to get a quote for parts to replace the window. Over and above! I also noticed they had an excellent price on Cooper Tires- so I'm saving up for those after this phase is through. Excellent service to a slightly traumatized female (me) and friendly guys all around, who took care of me even though they were clearly very busy. I know why they are busy too- honest, kind and thorough. I watched them greeting customers who were picking up as I was waiting, many friendly conversations were had. It shows you a lot about a business. So if you want an honest, fast, ethical resolution to a car problem- please give them a call. I think you'll stop right here as you'll be well taken care of. Thanks Kevin and staff!

No call over the PA (in half hour's time). We make our way back to the automotive service desk and a different tech prints off a sheet that states. "Cancelled: Couldn't get oil cap off". He also stated that previous place we got our oil change at put the cap on too tight and to take it back there. I take them at their word. Get home, test oil cap myself and was able to get it off myself in about 10 seconds time. So now I'm out gas money, time and above all, a damn needed oil change. I will not go back to this place and you shouldn't either if their techs can't properly remove an oil cap. I KNOW oil changes are dead simple. However, not everyone has a garage or necessary tools which is why we pay for others to provide the service. Simply unacceptable. Edit to add: Its impossible to over-tighten these types of oil caps. There are no threads. Additionally, the tech wrote "Car has never been here before". When in fact, that is false also. Evidenced by the fact that our old address was at the top of the service order.

I had used Northridge Auto for service on my vehicles, and routine work generally appeared…read moresatisfactory. However, two experiences involving specifically defined work scopes and customer-supplied fluids ultimately caused me to lose confidence in the shop. My 2018 GMC Acadia had developed a torque converter clutch shudder. I was following a specific OEM diagnostic/service approach that included a transmission fluid change. I discussed the scope with the Service Advisor, provided detailed written instructions, supplied the specified Dexron VI fluid, and left another copy of the instructions on the driver's seat for the technician. Despite this, Northridge used its own multi-vehicle ATF instead of the fluid I supplied. This wasn't simply a brand preference; it changed a controlled variable in an ongoing diagnostic process and set back my troubleshooting. The same work scope requested inspections of the engine/transmission mounts and CV joints as possible shudder sources, but the documentation I received did not record the performance or findings of those inspections. When I questioned the ATF issue, the Service Advisor became animated and raised his voice. I subsequently documented the issue in writing to the Service Manager/Owner and requested reimbursement. Northridge refunded the cost of that service, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, a similar issue occurred afterward. During a rear differential service, I supplied OEM lubricant because I specifically wanted the proper friction characteristics for that application. Despite the earlier ATF issue, Northridge again used its own fluids. I was charged for those fluids, and the lubricant I supplied was not returned. When I questioned the second fluid substitution, I again experienced an animated, raised-voice response from the Service Advisor. The recurrence after the first issue had already been formally addressed is what ultimately caused me to lose confidence in the shop. I am not suggesting Northridge is incapable of satisfactory routine automotive service. However, if you specify particular fluids, parts, inspections, procedures, or a defined scope of work, my experience suggests verifying what was actually used and ensuring requested work and findings are documented. For me, following the agreed scope and responding professionally when legitimate questions are raised are fundamental to trusting a repair shop. After these experiences, I chose to take this work elsewhere or perform it myself.
