I was recently was faced with water damage back to back on two properties. It was the first time I experienced water damage to the extent it required professional intervention. I did what most people do and let my fingers do the walking through Google and relied on reviews. Thank you to all those that took the time to review Affordable Water Damage (AWD); I called and actually got a person, Steve (Owner), on the phone. Steve and his equipment were on site within an hour of calling. He gave a quick onsite assessment of the situation, was professional, an effective communicator and more importantly got to work on the job. As with most of us that do not fortunately get faced with extensive water damage, we needed a lot of hand holding through the process. Steve was with us every step of the way, including helping us work with our homeowners insurance and understanding the process. When we were faced with our second water damage we immediately called (AWD) and received the exact same service. Steve treated my homes as if they were his homes. From my experience, I would recommend AWD. read more

Customer review: It is nice to write a review for a truly good experience during a difficult time. Affordable Water Damage (AWD) was essential to the successful closing of my townhome during a busy Spring home-selling season this year. Steve with AWD was not only able to begin assisting us quickly but was able to connect and coordinate with other contractors for separate projects that we also needed to finish during an unexpected mold and piping issue in my basement. His ability to spot issues, explain the situation in an understandable matter, move on decisions that we made to mitigate, remain in contact, and again coordinate with other contractors so the process kept moving along during a tight time frame was invaluable. Thanks to Steve and AWD not only is the basement done on time for the closing but at a reasonable price point. AWD actually lives up to their name, and then some with the level of professional work done. I highly recommend this company, specifically Steve. He really cared about resolving the issue fully and to our satisfaction. Thank you, AWD! read more

Went through an extreme nightmare in regard to flooding and mold. Found affordable water damage here on Yelp and gave them a call. Steve came out immediately and helped me get through the entire process. His pricing came in better than the other companies I called for an estimate. He took the time to walk me around the house and identify every problem contributing to the mold. None of the other companies did this. Steve is the hardest worker I have worked with in the contracting realm. He genuinely cares about his customers and it shows in his pricing and his work. A lot of the companies doing mold remediation are only looking to take advantage of insurance benefits and do not care about their customers when insurance denies coverage. Steve fully understands the insurance benefits in Colorado and goes out of his way to help when his customers when the insurance companies fail. I highly recommend you give Steve a call if you're dealing with this nightmare like me. read more

I can't recommend Steve highly enough. We had a pretty bad mold situation after a slow leak went undetected for a number of years. I had a number of other contractors come over and I did not feel confident in what they were telling me. Steve came over and his knowledge and expertise were evident right away. He pointed out things that the others had missed and I could tell that he was honest and would do the job right. He went above and beyond my expectations and did a very thorough, excellent job in every aspect. He is very personable, good with communication and made me feel at ease every step of the clean up. As others have said, I hope not to have another mold or flood issue again but if I do, he is the guy to call! Thank you Steve for your hard work, integrity and reassurance. We appreciate your help more than words can say. read more

We've used Affordable Water Damage twice; three years ago when we moved in the painters noticed potential mold we had Steve come in and eventually pulling out most of one wall later to realize there had been a leak at the fireplace probably since the condo was built. Because of the mold he had to partition off the room to avoid contamination in the house. The second time, most recently a toilet fill valve burst and damaged the bathroom floor, went under the wall to the laundry room and eventually to the basement. Both times Steve was prompt, pleasant and very communicative. When the second event occurred, we did not hesitate to call Steve. We were not disappointed! We are not full timers at the condo so we had to give Steve access to keys, he has proven to be very trustworthy. read more

When disaster strikes at midnight or 2p in the afternoon, and you need to get someone fast who is AWESOME, call on Steve!! My washer sprung a leak and I was frantic. I had never been in a situation like this. I called Steve and he was there within the hour. He was professional, kind and super helpful. He walked me through how the Insurance process was 'most likely' going to happen. My Agent called me while he was still there and sure as Steve said, all went well. He did a great job with explaining his processes to dry out my carpets and he was on-time each day to check the progress. He did follow up calls to check in on me. Steve is the best! Please call him should disaster strike at your home. Thank you Steve and Kristie. read more

Steve was great. He came out on short notice to take care of some wastewater that had drained into our crawl space. Even though it was a small job, he still took the time to help us and to answer all of our questions; and he gave us a very reasonable price. He was friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and so very kind and personable with us. He brought some additional issues to our attention and provided recommendations for remedy without applying any sales pressure whatsoever. We would most definitely hire him again and would readily recommend him to anyone in need of professional mitigation services. read more

I'm a residential Realtor and have used this company with great result! Not only did Steve come in on budget and on time, he kept all parties informed and made a not-so-great situation turn out very well. He and his team showed up when they said they would, gave clear expectations and guidance throughout, they were also very conscientious about performing their process and leaving no mess behind. read more

Steve came out on New Year's Day to clean up a nasty mess in my crawlspace. Despite the circumstances, Steve was easygoing and super chill. He was fully transparent, explained all the work before he started, and answered all my questions. He also came back the next day for a follow-up, even though I'd already paid him; this alone makes Steve stand out in my book. 10/10 would hire again. read more
