We ended up taking the trailer to Texas Trailer Repair. They were not sure how soon they could get an axle, so we had to store race car while we waited. The trailer recommended StorQuest which was only a couple miles away. The woman at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She found a unit that worked perfect for us. She took care of all our concerns and said not only is the place gated, well lit and has security cameras, she also keeps a close eye on those going in and out. She said it's a very safe place and we need not worry about the car. There was a special going on the first month, so we only had to pay $30 and if we stayed longer, the second month would be $128, which is very reasonable. We ended up only needing the unit 5 days and when my husband picked up the car she asked him to call and let her know he got back home safe. Their customer service is directed to a call center in another state. What kind of storage unit restricts access like this? How is a working person or student going to access their belongings when you can't go after work or on the weekends? They give you a "gate code" to trick you into thinking you can access your unit after hours but the codes don't even work. Not only are the times absurd, 75%+ of the units are located upstairs and there is only one elevator that works as the other is broken. If this wasn't bad enough, I got a unit over the phone and was given a price and when I got to the building the price wasn't honored and they had no idea what I was talking about. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. You'd be better off storing your things on the side of the road.

He answered my questions and helped me get my lock off. I was also transporting a scooter back to CA and was waiting on a transportation company to pick it up. It was raining so Mike offered to put a tarp on it for me! The transport guy called to say he wouldn't be there until late at night (after my flight left), so Mike offered to store my scooter behind the security gate and created a one-time passcode for the transport guy to access. They've reconfigured the entire facility to create more units, and it's horrible. I wanted a climate controlled space and they only had a second-floor unit. It was horrid. It wasn't even finished being built, with unfinished drywall on all the walls. There was no light in the unit, and no electric plug at all. I had to buy a battery-operated light strip to be able to even see in there. There was something over the top of the space that prevented the a/c from getting into the unit at all. The air was set at 82 -- in the summer -- it was so hot I nearly passed out trying to move my things out of it. Roaches were crawling EVERYWHERE, in broad daylight, all up and down the halls, running in and out of the units. They got into my boxes and it cost me $100 to get them out of my apartment. I had things that mildewed so badly I had to throw them out. They couldn't keep employees, so there was never anyone there to help them. They had one employee on Thursdays only. No security. The lock they gave me jammed and they refused to cut it off. I had to pay a locksmith to remove it, plus buy a better lock. All that cost me another $100+. All this and they charged me $120/month for a 5x10 unit. I'm sure it has gone up since then. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! These 5-star reviews were written by staff, I'm sure.
