But there I was, in Gainesville, FL, and once again needed a self-storage facility. Public Storage was out of the question, so I decided to give Archer Road Self Storage a try. And I'm glad I did. Dave and Sam are wonderful and make me feel like a valued customer. They go above and beyond to earn and keep your business. The storage units are clean and the climate control is more than adequate. It was just incredibly stressful and I could not wait for them to be gone. I'm older. I used to be able to do things on my own and I can't anymore. Letting people into your home and handling your personal things is stressful in itself. I felt the leader was disrespectful and made fun of me being older. I'm not sure why that's ok in today's society but it seems so. He made constant noises and when he called for me to ask a question it was in a high pitched weird voice, sort of imitating a cat. I did at one point tell him I was not sure if I should be offended by his high pitched woman voice imitation- trying to give him notice to stop. He did not. It did seem as his two helpers were made a little uncomfortable by it also. They moved my stuff, thought it was made more stressful than it needed to be, and I probably won't use them again. The person I spoke to on the phone was polite - too bad he didn't do the move.

Now, I checked the hours and thought "well, maybe the hours have changed due to COVID, so I'll call later in the day to see if they'll pick up." They didn't. The first few times I called, no one answered and I tried to leave a voicemail. Mailbox was full. Understandable. I call the next morning, no one picks up, and I was able to leave a voicemail. Sounds to me like they emptied the mailbox which was great. I wait two days, and no one calls me back. I call several more times, and leave another voicemail. I WAIT TWO MORE DAYS, AND NO ONE PICKED UP. In my voicemail, I also wanted to ask if the $100 I deposited was refundable because when you book a move, you need to put a $100 to secure your booking. So, I got fed up of waiting to call the next day and sent an email asking to cancel my move and ask if I could be refunded. I wake up this morning to an email, an AUTOMATED EMAIL, that my move was canceled. Okay, that's good. My original objective was done. However, the fact that no one wanted to answer my simple question of a refund was already making me angry. I called this morning twice to ask about the refund. And again, it went straight to voicemail. The first few times I called, I figured it was because of COVID and I'd been lenient. But now that it's been over a week, I'm done being patient. Had someone picked up to tell me they're understaffed or even mentioned it in the voicemail, I would've understood. 1) ALL of my calls were ignored and NO ONE thought to call me back even AFTER I left two voicemails 2) They clearly didn't care when I voiced my concerns in an email that I simply wanted answers for a refund and a cancellation. Cancellation was done but I guess they figured it would be easier to just cancel the move without having to deal with a paying customer. 3) I had heard great things about this moving company and saw so many great reviews about their services. This was a huge let down. Customer service is a big part of what makes someone want to pay for your services. Next time, when I move, I think I'll just stick to moving furniture myself.

This franchise located in Gainesville Florida moved me from Gainesville to Jacksonville and did what I thought was a good job initially. They put my things in a storage building and I'm just now getting them out seeing all of the damage that they did to my belongings. I paid extra for them to wrap pictures correctly and they were put in a box against each other scratching most of them. They also broke and scratched many pieces of my furniture. When speaking to the "manager" of the store he proceeded to tell me that I did the damages when moving from the storage building to my home. He had no regard for my belongings and made every excuse of why his workers did not do the damage. Run far away from this company they don't care about the customer.

The staff is amazing and really goes just above and beyond to work with you! They were extremely helpful over the phone and was even able to get me a discount on my climate controlled unit that rivaled the prices of other NON climate controlled units at other storage places! And when I was running late past closing time to check in a storage unit, the manager Carol stayed open until I got there... Even though it was her anniversary!! She did everything with a smile on her face and we were able to do everything and get in right away. They are an absolute dream to work with! The storage units are practically new, they were so clean, and its close to Butler Plaza so it was super convenient! It was one of the easiest moving experiences I've ever had in Gainesville all because of I75 self storage! And that's saying a lot because I have moved every year of college. Three years of solid service by Carol! She guided me while I lived in Chicago through code changes in the gate, price increases over COVID and any knowledge I needed about continuing to rent from this location. My father passed 3 years ago and his belongings have been in the climate controlled storage unit ever since. Carol made these hard times that much easier and recently I closed the unit and moved it all up North to Chicago. I-75 Self Storage is a great, reliable place. You will feel comfortable leaving your personal belongings here! The staff is very friendly and so helpful! Not only is the storage unit close to I75 but they also allow you to drop off your Uhaul here!! The features are great too, security cameras and gate, climate controlled units, it's perfect! Rented a 5 x 10 for two months but expected to be there for three. Carol was excellent. I only had one complaint and that is the actual size of the unit. It was stated to be 5 x 10 but actually measured 4.5 x 9.5. Not that critical but it was approximate. The place was clean, well lighted, easy access and nothing was noted that would have been negative other then the size of the unit. I'm sure some units are not exact but this might be something to let people know up front. read more

Carol in the Office at I-75 Business Park Self Storage was amazing! She was very knowledgable and set us up with a storage unit fast. Our items in storage were well taken care of and the facility was always kept clean and the inside walkways to the units were always swept and taken care of. Everyone I worked with was extremely caring and helpful. The unit was clean and the facility is well maintained. I had an issue with my lease and its end date and the manager Carol was very willing to help me out. The location is remote enough to be out of the way of the craziness of the Gainesville college area while also being close to everything. Great storage unit and I definitely recommend it! read more
