Go here! I cannot express enough what an amazing storage unit place this has been. The customer…read moreservice here is top-notch. They are always knowledgeable and courteous. One time my lock rusted. They verified my identity before helping me replace the lock. The site is secure. Key code in and out. Cameras and fencing. Good commercial neighborhood, down the rode from the airport. We were customers for almost 5 years. The rates were reasonable (no crazy price increases- reasonable), and the unit was high quality (D6 below). In those 5 years, we never had an issue with rodents or critters (just some spider webs)! Seriously! We also had our camper here for a short time. They have expanded and have plenty of space. Look no further. High-quality and clean. Bathroom on site too. Do note that there is no trash on site (what you bring in, you bring out). Thank you, Florida Secure Storage! You honor your name.

100K boat stolen from this storage facility. They had a break-in on April 2nd but did not report…read moreit to the police or notify tenants to check on their property. Went to pick up my boat on April 15th and it was gone! The managers/owner gave the thieves a 2 week lead time. Makes you wonder if this was an "inside job". The manager/owners were aware of the break-in because they have surveillance video of 2 men wearing masks and gloves entering the property and turning off the power! Common sense says they stole something! Asked manager for goodwill to partially cover part of the loss associated with insurance deductibles etc., no help. Bottom line, make sure you keep your property fully insured and check on it often, because this place will take no responsibility for their lack of common sense.

I spoke with customer service, and we discussed a refund. However, things took a positive turn when I received a call from Sally. After hearing about my situation, she offered to close her location to drive the hour to the facility I was at and get me signed in so that I wouldn't have to stress about finding a new storage facility at the last minute! I'm so glad I waited!! Sally went above and beyond. She took the time to not only get me set up quickly and efficiently but also brought us extra water bottles to make sure we stayed cool and hydrated in the midday Florida heat. Her willingness to go the extra mile truly saved the day and made a potentially difficult situation into a very positive one. I would recommend to other!

Still, the facility remained clean and accessable, although fully automated (no employees at all). The website is navigable and the phone-based service was professional. Even so, this is just another regional corporation snarfing up smaller businesses in order to "grow the brand", offer little, and take more. I thought that closing my unit had gone smooth, but later discovered that while I notified them of my move out near the end of my rental period, they posted the moveout for the first day of the next one and charged me for a full month. I tried to call, but didn't have my driver's license handy, so they wouldn't talk to me. Soon after I got the attached notice threatening to add a lein. Bottom line: rent somewhere else where you can actually talk to a person at the site and let these corporate shills dine on someone else's dollar.
