Do you have roaches? I don't. At least not anymore! All you Vegas old timers have kept the roach epidemic a closely guarded secret!! WTH? Being new to Vegas I had no idea how prevalent roaches and scorpions are out here. I live on the mountain's edge so I literally get the worst of them... spiders and crickets too. I saw a deal for these folks on Living Social last fall ($15 for 2,500 sqft.), right about the time I no longer needed pest control, as it was getting cold. However it was valid for 6 months so I scooped it up anyway. I waited until the very last week the deal was valid before calling to schedule service, because it was just starting to warm back up. Jennifer was very kind, and I could tell I was working with a small family owned business, which I love to support. She told me that they only make it out the the Southwest part of town 1 day a month. She said she'd still honor my voucher (even after it was expired) if I could make that day work. A little inconvenient, but not really that big a deal. It happened to be 3 weeks out, but I was glad it would be a little warmer by then (so far I'd only seen one roach, and I figured and I'd need the service more in a few weeks anyway). They called the day before to remind me of the appointment, which I appreciated. But they showed up almost an hour late, I assume that's because they try to fit so many SW appts. into one day. They were in and out in 5-10 mins. kind and friendly service. The spray is dog and kid friendly, not that I have either but GTK. I asked about pricing for future needs and I was told $25 for the size of my home. A good value since I generally pay $40. For only $15 I wondered how good their spray would be. But the very next day I started seeing dead roaches outside my door and in the garage - got them buggers! I noticed they have a Yelp deal you can purchase too. I'll definitely call them again in a month or so, but I'm sure I'll have to wait again to get an appt. in my area. read more

The Service was Amazing. Called a few times with a bunch of questions & Jennifer was very Nice & Friendly. Also super patient cause when people don't understand something they can be pretty annoying with mad questions. Hehee Shawn the tech & his son was Great. They came right on time. Very punctual which I like. Don't like waiting around wasting time. They explained everything & show me the results afterward at the end. My bee hive & bees was gone under 30 mins which was GREAT. I wish there were more stars to give! I've had Affordable Pest Control spraying my house since 2012 when my roommate picked up that Living Social coupon. I'm all for supporting a small, family owned business and these guys top the charts! We spent the spring and summer last year fighting camel spiders and finally, FINALLY I have gone months without one creeper in my house! Convenience is top of the list when it comes to spraying and appointment times, I receive texts to remind me when they'll be down to spray and they are even good about spraying if I'm not home. I normally wouldn't leave a key for anyone to just come on in, but I've known them for so long now that I'm comfortable and confident that they are trustworthy. One weekend I was away and returned to a small ant farm in my kitchen...I feel like I brought them back with me from San Diego (though doubtful) but I texted Jenn and she got right back to me with availability to come put up some ant traps. I tell everyone this is the best money I spend every month - we have some nasty critters out here in the desert and thankfully I only have to see them when they're belly up after spray day! :) They've been deserving of a yelp review for a looong time and I'm just a lazy yelper so I apologize for that but seriously, best customer service, best follow up (if needed). Based on other reviews I was looking forward to using this company for a minor insect problem. I called before 9am on Monday and left detailed voicemail. With no return call I recalled today, Tuesday. It's 10pm and I did not get a return call. A company not able or willing to respond to legitimate sales inquiries is doomed to extinction. Very bad form and I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

My family and I are critical of crumbs and any other clutter around the house yet silverfish and other crawlers were popping up repeatedly last summer so I grabbed a deal from Living Social around June of 2013 so that Affordable Pest Control could check out the home. Aaron came out and sprayed the home completely and reassured me that the chemicals were pet-friendly after 15 mins or so to allow the agent to settle. The initial education and the service was awesome enough for me to sign up for monthly sprays and Aaron is still my guy to this day. These guys are THE BEST! Super friendly, easy to make appointments, and always a pleasure do deal with. And their pet and kid safe spray makes them an even better choice to go with. No leaving the house while he's spraying! I have about a 3,000 sq ft house and it only costs me $30 for them to spray and no contracts, I call when I want them to come. And generally their sprays last longer than a month. I have no pest control problems, not even an ant in my house for months! It's wonderful. We absolutely LOVE Affordable Pest Control! We've been using them for about a year. We originally chose them because they are family owned & operated and we always support those businesses first being that we also own a business. From the first interaction with Jenn & Shawn it has been nothing but pleasant. They are always professional and punctual. We have them come out once a month and our bug problems are nothig near what they were before. Their spray is pet & kid safe which is important to us because we have both. Disappointing...I spoke to the owner and explained that I purchased a living social voucher because I had ants, she stated she was in my neighborhood and could be there in 20 minutes, she was there and was very friendly. It seemed that no chemical was coming from the pump but she stated she only has to pump every 3 or so houses...anyway the next day I still had ants and 2 spider, but I figured it needed more time. When the problem persisted I called them to find out what I could do, no call back...2 days later i left another message which was responded to a day later, with a voice-mail of her laughing AT me saying 1 spray wont do it and that there is too much construction in my house....One area has carpet work being done...needless to say I am looking for a company to sign a contract with and it wont be Affordable Pest Control... read more

Affordable Pest Control is exactly what is says...VERY affordable! We paid $30 to have them spray our lower level floor and outside of our home (which is approx. 3,000 sqft). On top of that they are extremely courteous, and a pleasure to do business with. They are friendly on the phone, and are even more friendly in person when they come to your home. They are clean, and respectful of your home, wearing booties while walking around to spray. The chemicals they use are safe enough that my kids and dog can walk inside the home while he's spraying, and it's completely odorless and residue free. After they sprayed my home for the first time I went 5-6 months without having any sign of another bug in my home. I couldn't be more happy with the service that they provide and have happily recommended them to friends and neighbors. read more
