Mike was friendly, professional, and very time efficient. He was at our house the morning after we called for a quote, and had everything we needed on hand (several other businesses said we would need to special order parts due to the uniqueness of the locks.) He replaced 7 locks in a less than an hour. Thanks for providing great service! read more

Mike responded tp my request within minutes and had a new deadbolt on my door within about 2 hours. Excellent!

Whoa! Thought my toddler locking us all out of our house was going to mean a ruined morning -- until Mike came within 45 min and saved our day. We couldn't have asked for faster, friendlier service. Pricing was also reasonable. Thanks, Mike! read more

quick to respond but when asked for an estimate never replied. needed a lock box for single key mounted on building. quick job.

Arrived quickly, with a great attitude, and got the car unlocked in no time. Even had a little square reader for his iPhone, in order to accept card. Price was straightforward and no hidden fees. Highly recommended. read more

Great fast and friendly service. I called because I was locked out of my car as soon as I got to work. I called and within 15 minutes they were here and opened the door in under a minute. I will recommend this company to everyone I know. Very affordable too. Only 50+5 service card fee. read more

It's never a good day when you lose your car keys, and it's really not a good day when you don't have a spare on hand (lesson learned!) Luckily, I turned to Yelp and saw all the great reviews for Mike @ Affordable Locksmith. I called bright and early Monday morning to see if he could come down to Shorewood to make me a new key. I have a car that was discontinued in 2006, so I was hopeful that wouldn't be an issue and luckily it wasn't. Mike made it down quickly, and was very friendly, fast and efficient. I hope to not have to use this again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to call Affordable Locksmith. Thanks! :) read more

We hired Mike to help us re-key all the doors in a house we just purchased. Mike was very prompt and helped us resolve some problems with the locks in our new house. A few weeks we started having issues with one of the locks, which ended up being defective. Mike came back over and installed a new lock for us for no charge! Mike is extremely knowledgable, has very reasonable fees, very responsive, and does excellent work. Would definitely use Affordable Locksmith again! read more

Mike was a very understanding guy. I had dropped my key in 7inches of snow couldn't find it after shoveling all day and night. I called him and he made an appointment within hours of my call. By a miracle my key was found in the snow by neighbors two hours before my appointment so I had to cancel the locksmith. Mike was very understanding and because of this I give him 5 stars! read more

My husband and I bought an older home (1903) and had some trouble with the front and back door. The front door would lock but it took some convincing, and the back doorknob would not engage from the outside. Well as the weather got colder the front door (now our only way in the house) would periodically not open, and to lock it at night, both my husband and I would have to push on it while he tried to throw the deadbolt I to place. You'd think this would convince me to call a professional. It didn't. The weather got horribly cold and I had to use a blow dryer at night to warm the lock enough to get it to close. Still, I didn't call. Why? Because I didn't want to take the time to research who would be cheapest and Do a good job. Now you do t have to cuz I found the best one for you!! Well last night, the door would not lock at all, and I spent a night terrified that we would be robbed or murdered (I'm an easily frightened woman, what can I say?) so I FINALLY called around for about 45min trying to get quotes and see how expensive this was going to be. Meanwhile my husband was forced to work from home so we weren't robbed during the day (which I was convinced would happen) Well I found Mike online, he was professional, quick, and gave me a straightforward guess on a price based on my description of the problem, which I really appreciated. He didn't charge for same day service (everyone else did), he was quick (took less than an hour) and my husband got to go to work in the afternoon! As we spoke on the phone he gave me some tips on older locks and discussed some options with me on fixing the old antique kind, which we have. Although ours turned out to be an easy fix, he was very knowledgeable about those too. Also, he had square, so we could pay with a credit card, which was great! Highly highly suggest him! read more

Excellent. Prompt service (20 min). Took care of problem quickly. No hassles. Thanks again Mike!

Mike was amazing and delivered much more than we expected. He arrived promptly within an hour of calling him ready to tackle the problems we were experiencing. He not only had great solutions but went above and beyond! He was also fast and friendly, a very personable guy that I would call in a heartbeat if we needed more work done. The name "Affordable" is truly fitting for this company. read more

I'm out of town landlord. Made appointment. Mike called ahead and showed up on time. Price was fair ....easy business! Great Service! Made me want to move back to the Upper Midwest! read more

Fantastic service. I'm new in town and needed the locks on my new place rekeyed. I found Mike through Yelp and the reviews were all true. Easy and prompt communication through Yelp. Gave an estimate a head of time which was what I paid. My lock turned out to be tricky and "a bit of a custom job" so I began to worry a little that he was going to charge me more than the estimate. Nope, not Mike, he stayed true to his word. Great service, super friendly. Hopefully I'll never need him for a lockout but would happily call him if I do. read more

Definitely recommend. On time. Pleasant. Informative. Shared security tips regarding my current doors. Provided a sense of relief. Speedy. Reasonably priced. read more

I called Mike's service and he answered promptly. He was driving, so asked to call me back when he found a place to pull over, which he did in less than 10 minutes. We made an appointment for two days away to rekey and lubricate the lock on our front door. He was able to come sooner, so called to arrange for that, showed up, did the job quickly and cleanly, then had me inspect. He took my credit card for payment. I would definitely call him again and recommend him without reservation to anyone looking for locksmith skills. I can't speak to comparison of costs, but I thought his fees were reasonable for the services and supplies. read more

I called on a Friday and scheduled a Appt for the follow Monday. He didn't show Monday, after a talk via phone he rescheduled and did not show again. My renter was left unsecured for several days. read more

mike is great! Super friendly, prompt and professional. I called after getting locked out of my house one time too many. He replaced three deadbolts and two locking doorknobs and matched all the keys. $350. Totally worth the piece of mind! read more

Unfortunately I've had to use their services more then once! From the mother-in-law locking herself out of her house to one of the kids locking themselves in the car with the keys in it. They have always been there quickly, in fact they even have gone above and beyond. The owner left a job to help my wife in her state of panic, when the kids locked themselves in the car. That was awesome of him to do that! So, I had no second thoughts of who to call for service on my commercial locks on my store front. As usual knocked it out of the park. Thanks again! I actually have their number saved in my phone, lol! Cause you never know! read more

I contacted Mike through Yelp when I needed to have three exterior doors (deadbolts and handles) re-keyed. He worked quickly and was both pleasant and professional. This was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Mike! read more

Not only was he very professional, he showed up rather quickly, and was in the car in no time!! I followed the advice of other reviewers and it worked out! The price wasnt outstanding and the service was top notch. I would ABSOLUTELY use this gentleman again. (Hopefully I'll never have to tho!!) read more

I managed to lock myself out of my friend's house that I was catsitting for. I even left my phone in there, but luckily I had my laptop in my car and was able to message Mike. He got back to me in 3 minutes, literally. He was only 15 minutes away. He quoted me and said he'd be there soon. He came in 15 minutes and I was so embarrassed, but he was so nice and assured me this happens a lot. He let me in within seconds. I hope this situation never happens to me again, but I know who to call if it does. read more

Professional, quick and all around great service. We moved into an new house and needed all the locks re-keyed.

Thanks Yelpers. I got taken on my last TWO lock installations so I turned to Yelp. Mike was FANTASTIC. I needed deadbolts for a recent move, he showed up an hour after I called. Fantastic experience! Rekeyed three exterior doors (bolt and handle locks) for $150. Mike was able to give me a quote which other locksmiths I tried could/would not do without sending someone out. He came out same day and the whole process took 20 minutes. It would have taken longer and would have been more expensive to buy new locks and install myself. Very pleased. read more
