I'm delighted with the service and prices Mike provides at Affordable Locksmith. Would give him 10 stars if I could. He replied to my initial request within an hour (on a Sunday evening!), gave me an estimate over the phone, and set up a time to do the work. He confirmed via phone on the day of the appointment, showed up on time, and quickly came up with a way to save me some money and still get the results I wanted. PROBLEM: So here's the deal, last night, 6 PM, I broke my one and only car key in half while doing a really brilliant, "open my trunk with my key while it's still turned in the lock" maneuver. If you have this terrible habit, kick it now. So the front half of my key snapped clear off and was lodged all the way into the opening, and I was left with an open trunk, half a key and lots of sadness. After almost convincing myself I was just never going to be able to drive my car again, I figured there must be a solution, so I headed to Yelp for some leads, but basically found nothing! After a few calls and some good luck, I wound up with an appointment for this morning with Mike from Affordable Locksmith. SOLUTION: the short of it is, Mike is professional, timely, and provides an excellent service for a fair price. I was pleasantly surprised that making a brand new car key (the newer kind with the chip in it) only took 30 minutes, and he did it on the spot from his car. I had an 8AM appointment and he called ahead of time to let me know he was on schedule and would arrive right at 8. He showed up at 7:58AM and got started. Half an hour later I had two fresh car keys, and he pried the jammed piece out of the trunk lock in a matter of seconds. He also had the Square app on his phone, so payment was a breeze, and he emailed me a copy of my receipt. FINAL WORD: When you're in a frustrating situation, all you want is a smooth fix. This experience defined smooth, with zero extra hassle or concern. I highly recommend choosing this company if you're in the unfortunate situation of needing a locksmith. Don't get the runaround from other larger companies, go small business and get the straight forward, top notch service here. read more

I needed a quick turnaround for my business when an employee left and locks needed to be changed. Mike was personable, professional and super fast! His rates were fair and he even helped us out by adjusting a door closure that was preventing our door from fully closing every time. THAT is going out of the way to have amazing service. I would highly recommend Affordable Locksmith! read more

Saw these reviews on Yelp and called Affordable Locksmith for an emergency lock out. Mike was prompt, friendly and helpful. The door handle to get into my condo broke internally and I couldn't get into my place. Mike was able to take it apart and let me in within a few minutes without any damage to the door or the frame. He unfortunately didn't have a spare handle handy, but walked me through what to do to put a new one on (the deadbolt still worked so there were no worries there). Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a great locksmith. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Mike at Affordable Locksmith. He responded quickly, accommodated our schedule the day we closed on our first home and provided us with quick, efficient service. He was straightforward and honest about his work. What he charged us to have 8 locks rekeyed was more than reasonable. He was also kind enough to take the time to help us become better informed consumers when it comes to home security. Buying a house for the first time puts you in contact with plenty of different people, in different professions, all addressing issues you've likely had no experience in. It can be a stressful process, and that stress can be either exacerbated or alleviated by the people you hire to help you. Mike, and hiring Affordable Locksmith, reduced our stress level significantly. He is friendly and helpful and informative, and you don't walk away from working with him unsure of what you just paid for. He helped to make the day we closed on our first house an even better day than it already was. Thank you so much, Mike! read more
