I come here for my emissions so I can't rate their work, I do all my own repairs. Place is always spotless inside. The employees are always very professional and very polite. I wish I could rate their mechanic skills but from what I see they seem to be very good cause they are always working on something. Anyways stop in for an oil change, repair or emissions. They get 5 stars because of what I experience every time I stop in. read more

They got a replacement car key reprogrammed very quickly and they were very friendly. I would go back!

I had a malfunctioning lock for my trunk of my car, they told me i need to remove the lock cylinder from my vehicle trunk and bring it in. i did that along with my key, they made 1 new key and it worked in the lock, they then charged me $58 for a standard gm trunk key. Was not quoted a price or even a ballpark figure upfront. I feel ripped off. read more

I've been using Whitlow's for about 6 months now and they never disappoint. Whether working with them over the phone or in person they are always prompt, courteous, helpful, and quick to the right thing. They've made me and the company I work for a customer for life. Honestly I can't imagine any bad reviews given to them. read more

Amazing crew here, they really came thru with inexpensive and solid products. If you need a key copied or one of those wonderfully expensive key fobs programmed - come here they really seem to have some intelligence and the inventory to utilize that intellect. Old school all the way. read more

Will continue to go to them again and again. They truly are the best! My family and I have been going to Whitlow now for 13 years. They are still the best at what they do. Highly recommend! read more

Professional, polite, and very knowledgeable about replacement ignition keys for my van

I had a special key that I needed a copy of and Walmart and other key makers could not cut because they didn't have the blank, this went on for a year until today. When I drove by the intersection I though, do a U turn and see if they can make one. Not knowing that they close at 1pm on Saturday I walked in as they were closing at 1:07 and I was informed of the hours but what did I need, just a key. Here we go again with the I'm not sure that I can make that one but I might have something close that will work. Another employee asked if he could ring me up to speed along the closing and the guy says not yet because I'm not sure if it will work. Well it worked just fine and a year later I had a duplicate, so glad that I didn't need to use the spare key. read more

We went to three different chain stores looking for a copy of this specialty key. Two didn't have it at all, one made copies that didn't work. All we're ready to charge over $7/key. Whitlow looked at the key, knew exactly what they needed and made the copies - charging half of what everyone else wanted. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and cost-effective! read more

Definitely would not recommend this place for programming a key fob for your car. Inquired about having a second key fob programmed and wanted to see if they were cheaper than the dealer. I was advised that it would be $105... I then called Schlossmann Honda city dealer and they could do it for $80. I did not need a key cut that comes with the fob so I am not sure why Whitlow would still charge $105. read more

Quick easy and affordable. Very knowledgeable in programming electronic keys. Only took a few minutes.

My motorcycle key disappeared and Mike (Technician) saved the day! I called the office, spoke with Rob, and within 2 hours Mike was at my residence and making a key for my "throttle therapy"! Excellent service, quick, and affordable. Highly recommended! read more

HORRIBLE customer service. The young kid I dealt with at the counter isn't very bright. Within 15 minutes of leaving the store after placing my order I received TWO phone calls from him asking for information that I had just provided while standing at the counter. They also told me that the initial quote they gave me was wrong and I'd have to pay almost 10% more. I not only repeatedly (at LEAST 3 times) told them I needed a drive-in type latch, I went so far as to show them a picture I took of it to make sure they new what I needed. A couple weeks later I pick up my door knob set, take it home, rip the old door knob out of the door and begin to put in the new one only to find they didn't give me, guess, a drive in latch. When I called and told them they didn't give me what I ordered I was told that, with a knob-less door, everyone is getting ready to leave for the day and I'd have to go back out there the next day even though they screwed up. They need to get smarter counter help who care about the customer. God help you if you're looking for something more complicated than a simple door knob. read more

I have been dealing with Whitlow's for more than 20 years both through my position as an office manager and personally. I truly appreciate the fast, professional service. Their fees are reasonable and they always make you aware of all of your options. Ward has been servicing our dealership for years, I love how friendly and knowledgeable he is. I consistently recommend Whitlow's to others in need of their services. Lynn S. read more

This is an important find if you need auto remote or transponder keys. Jaguar keys are very expensive ($400) and not all dealers have the equipment to program a new one for you. For $150, I had my defective remote replaced at Whitlow's and I also purchased a second transponder key. Additionally, for $9 per lock, if the owner brings in the lock, Whitlow's will re-key it. The staff is very friendly and professional. People contact them from all over the U.S. because there are few places like this. If you live in the Milwaukee area, this place is worth checking out. read more

I found my experience to be very positive beginning with initial communication, estimate and skill and expertise of Mike who did the work at my home. Once I walked in the front door and saw the huge walls of key blanks and what looked to be 10 key grinders lined up on a bench, I just knew that driving up to West Allis amidst all the construction was going to be worth it. I took in a used Infiniti Intellikey fob I purchased on eBay to get reprogrammed to my car. Initially, I thought it was going to be a job that I would have to leave up to the dealer to resolve since you needed a special registered code from Nissan to program the key. I saved 35% on the labor price over the dealer, I walked right in without an appointment (they don't take them, but they turn it around quickly) and it works perfectly. These guys were knowledgable, honest and professional. read more

Whitlow's rocks. Key duplication, lock rekeying, safes, keyless entry systems, chipped auto keys, they do it all. Impressive guys, unlike some teenager at the local home improvement store. Even though they have a huge wall of keyblanks, they usually know which one to pick, rarely having to make a second try. I've probably had about a hundred keys duplicated there, both personal and business, and I'm thinking maybe, maybe once we had a duplicate that didn't work as well as the original. Whitlow's has only once "failed" me - a child's bike lock with a Chinese pedigree, they told me they didn't stock a keyblank for it, and it'd be less expensive to just swap the lock for a Master Lock. They'll have good advice for you about security-related issues, their prices are not as cheap as some other places, but as they say, you get what you pay for. read more

I called to inquire about having all my locks re-keyed, because we had just purchased a house. The man I spoke with gave me the price to come out to re-key them, but then also told me if I brought the locks in to the store, it would be much more cost effective. I really appreciated that they told me about the cost savings; most companies won't do that. I love a good deal, so I took them in to be re- keyed. Literally, it was about $75 less on the first lock alone, and my total for 6 locks and 8 keys was less than what it would have cost for them to come out to my home for one lock. Additionally, the staff were fast, friendly, and able to accommodate my needs within about an hour and a half, even though it was a Saturday. I would definitely recommend Whitlow's, and will remember to use them the next time I need locksmith services. read more

Quality of Work - No complaints here.  I live in a rural area and getting someone to cut an program a new key for my car has been a challenge. Whitlow's (which is in the area where I work) did it in without any problems. Customer Service - Over promise and under deliver.... I was originally told it would take 20 minutes to cut and program two keys. Whitlow's did it in 5. Very pleasant staff... Location - No problems at all.  Very easy to find. This place came on high recommendation from a locksmith down the road! The staff was knowledgeable and got the job done quick and right!

Bought a house in Delafield that had six locking doors and each one had a different key. Wanted to drastically reduce the number of keys but there were bolt locks, door knob locks and locks in French doors. Dan came out and was able to re-key all of them to a single key! Also had them add a bolt lock on one of the doors. He was fast, efficient and very personable. Need locks done in Lake Country? Call Whitlow! read more

We purchased a lock for our 125 year old home, we had to get a super expensive one, as the doors were so much thicker back then. After a year and a half the bolt broke through inside the locking mechanism. Getting no help from Whitlow's - whatsoever - have been told to contact the manufacturer ourselves. WOW, unbelievable! Thanks for standing behind your product! NOT. Update ... after calling the mfr and finding out there was a lifetime warranty, and that they only deal through the company who sold the lock - we called Whitlow's back. They admitted their error, ordered the door knob, even had to look up the original order as we did not have a receipt. In the end, we did receive our new lock at no charge. Hopefully this customer service snafoo was an isolated incident. read more

I have not been treated so rudely in a long time! I was looking to buy locks for one of my duplexes (I have been using All Safe and Security for 20 years, but was thinking about switching locksmiths, sine All Safe is not open on the weekends). I was asking questions about the locks available, and their rekeying charges. The lobby was quite full, but one of the men behind the counter looked at the guy who was helping me ( he was presenting me with a quote for a $450 order of locks and service), and said " it's too busy in here. You need to help someone else"! RIDICULOUS! Needless to say, I stopped the gentleman helping me, and told him that it seemed he needed to take care of someone else. I was planning to move forward with the purchase, but now I will NEVER set foot in this place again! RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!! I wish there was a rating for 0 stars! This place would get it! read more

I called Whitlow's to have 10 locks rekeyed in my home. Very nice on the phone and were able to schedule me in quickly. Dan from Whitlow's just left my house. He even made an extra set of keys for our truck while he was here. I am very happy with the work done. Thank you Dan and Whitlow's Security. read more

I've used Whitlow's several times in the last couple years. Most recently they had to open my car up because I had locked the keys in the truck. Well that is definitely embarrassing but they didn't make me feel bad. They met me at my car and they were fast getting there. With in minutes they had my car open and where handing me my keys. The didn't charge me a lot either, you hear horror stories about some locksmiths, well these guys are honest. Then they asked if I had a spare set of keys, well I didn't but I was in a hurry and told them I would stop by to have another set made in the not to distant future. I was actually surprised that they could make me a key for my Nissan Altima because it has a transponder chip in it that needs to be programmed, but they assured me they could. So now I had a plan, in a few days I would stop in at Whitlow's on Greenfield in West Allis and have them duplicate and program my car key. Well guess what, I got busy and put it off, for I guess a couple months...wow, that was stupid. I some how managed to lose my keys, not just my car keys but my entire key ring. Well, now I had to call Whitlow's again and tell them that I needed the key replaced now. They again met me at my car and this time had to program the key and a new remote too. I was happy that they had the equipment to do this as i guess most locksmiths don't because it is very expensive. Well in about 15 minutes I had a brand new set of keys and a remote. It was a lot cheaper than the dealer would have charged me too. So i now make sure I always have duplicates of my keys and I will only go to Whitlow's, they are friendly and honest and there are so many shady locksmiths out there that I won't take the chance of going anywhere else. read more
