I came to this auto repair facility via a referral from my in-laws to get my AC leak fixed. My experience was underwhelming: Me: "Hi, I have an AC refrigerant leak and my air blows warm. I need you to replace the o-rings connected to the AC compressor. I know this is the issue because there's a visible refrigerant leak/stain on top of the compressor. Also, my car make and model is notorious for this particular AC leak. Could you fix this?" George: "Ok we'll take a look at it." I come back to pick up the same day... Mechanic: "I filled it back up with refrigerant and dye because you have a 'pinhole' sized leak somewhere I can't find. When the refrigerant runs out and the air blows warm again, come back and see us so we can check it out." Me: "Okaaaay?" Me: Gets UV light to see the dye the put in, the dye confirms what i originally told them, i replaced the o-rings myself after air blows warm and refrigerant leaks out again. While they may do decent work overall, I will most certainly never be back because they gave me a band-aid solution and did not address what I initially told them to look at. I could've have gone to AutoZone and filled my car with refrigerant and dye for 2/3 the cost of what they did. I contacted the shop and sent a very professional message asking for a way to resolve the matter. After a week of no-reply, here is my review. 1/5 stars and would NOT recommend. read more

I went there for a rattle and ended up paying $2500 for brakes and shocks and they told me it would fix the rattle, guess what? all that money spent and the problem was not fixed, I went back a few days later and took one of the mechanics for a ride and he diagnosed the problem as a Tourque Shudder, from there they wanted to charge me another $1500 to fix it, I left and never went back I got the Tourque Shudder fixed elsewhere for a lot less than $1500 , they seem too busy to to even care about regular customers I have 4 cars and have been there in the past , the name affordable is not a valid name for them anymore read more

We brought our Chrysler 200 there, they charged us $1,800 to fix it and told us that the car was perfectly fine. Two months later the car broke down and we had to get a new one. We gave it another chance and had our daughter take her car there to get brakes and tire check before she got on the road to Tallahassee since my husband the tire light was on. They checked her tire and said it was perfect nothing needed to be done. 3 days later she is driving and the tire popped in the hwy. Really? Never again read more

I sent my 72 yr old mother in law to Affordable Auto Repair for electrical problem. Her car has a battery that is a pain to get at. You have to remove so many parts including windshield wipers. They cleaned the posts, checked battery and system. Problem was corrosion on battery posts that were not visible, nor easily accessible. Ok ... I'm from Ohio, my daughter goes to Wellington almost every year to work and get training with her horses .... She cannot have down time ..she pulls and needs to be working.. Her starter was going out in her 2008 F250 Superduty 6.4 diesel with 292,000 miles on it ... she needed a new starter as I had her roll me the symptoms... (I do all the work on her truck usually) ... so I get on the phone early Friday the 17th ... these guys said bring it in we need to put it on the rack to see which starter to get as there is 2 different ones ... I said great I'll call and tell her to get right down there ... she did got there I think like 9:30am .. she was back on the road at 10:45 with a new starter .... THAT IS SERVICE !!! ... These employees went above and beyond for me! They showed me the causes, reasons and explain what needed to be fixed. (Battery and alternator) They searched for the best reliable alternator and even traveled to the Delray Toyota dealership to get it. When arriving back at the auto shop after a long traffic jam on 1-95, he replaced my alternator before eating lunch that he had picked up for him and his co-workers. Sent an online inquiry about an issue I was having with the suspension on my car and they responded "sure bring it by and leave it for the day and we will figure it out"?1. Had new tires and tire pressure monitor sensors that need to be installed as well so I called them to confirm that this was OK. They were not happy I was using my own sensors & tires. Their first question was what kind of sensors are they when I called on the phone so I told him I really didn't know but I had a program tool and had a mechanic and did not need them to program them. I could tell they were annoyed, but they said OK. Next day woke up and brought my vehicle there at 8:15 to have them do the work and diagnose. Walked in explain things exactly the way I did in my email and on the phone and the gentleman told me that you cannot program the tire sensors when they're on the wheels that they need to be programmed first. Obviously, this is a blatant lie, but I didn't care to debate. He literally told me if I have a mechanic that I should have him do it, so I just left. I actually had my buddy bring me there who is a disabled veteran and he parked in front of the shop and they were pissed and asked him to move. I don't know why people are giving them five stars. Every interaction I have with them over the past two days was not good. I would never go here again AVOID. read more

I had a flat tire and my spare ended up also being flat. I got a ride to this Tire Choice and asked them to look at both tires. Fabian Gordon was working the counter and they fixed what ended up being a valve stem issue in my tire and my spare only needed air. Then he didn't CHARGE ME! Said he likes to do whats right, what? seriously? I was floored, you just don't see that type of service in south florida that often. I returned to Florida late Tuesday evening. When I went to start my car the following day, the battery was dead. Affordable Auto fixed it in a couple of hours. It turned out my battery was a little unique but they found it. Since it was taking a little longer than usual, they gave me a ride home and brought me back when It was finished. Brandon did a great job. I am 75, and I will admit to being nervous when dealing with car problems. I recently moved from NY to FL. I'm an avid DIY auto repair guy...I do 'most' of my own work. Every now & again I run into difficulty & need the assistance of a "Professional Auto Technician" to complete the job. In an effort to find a Professional Auto Repair Facility near me I resorted to YELP. I decided to call "Affordable Auto Repair and Tire Center" in Lake Worth (they have 2-locations). "George" cheerfully answered the call. I explained that I was replacing ALL 3-O2 Sensors on my '99 Chevy Astro Van. I had successfully replaced 2 of them. The last one which is Upstream of the CAT was in a very tight space & after several attempts I couldn't break it loose. "George" said to bring the Astro in t his "Lake Worth" shop & they would take care of it for me. Upon arrival "Goerge" himself gave it a go, then decided to have his tech "David" put it on the lift. "David" worked 'diligently' on it for 2 1/2 hours & finally got the pesky O2 out, chased the treads in the boss & installed the new O2 sensor. "David" then erased the codes in the ECU & the 'Service Engine' light is now off. "Affordable Auto Repair and Tire Center" did this for me at a very reasonable price!
