I brought my 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis to Caroline Tire for a gas leak. I was told it was a gasket and would take about an hour to fix. It ended up taking four hours. They did fix the leak, but when I picked up my car my digital gas gauge was no longer working -- it now reads "E" and 0 miles to empty. It worked perfectly before I brought it in. When I returned, they claimed the fuel pump was bad, which was never an issue before. Management refused to take responsibility, and after contacting their West Palm Beach location, I never received the promised callback from the owner. Very disappointed. I would not recommend based on my experience. read more

I brought my car in to have a tire replaced, and they sold me a tire that was double the normal price and already worn out with barely any tread. Less than a day later, that same tire blew out while I was driving -- completely unsafe and unacceptable. When I called to let them know, they refused to take responsibility or offer any refund or replacement. The whole experience felt careless and dishonest. I would give 0 stars if possible. I have been to Caroline Tires about 3 times. The last time was January 21st when they did my rear brakes and pads. Once I picked up my SUV everything seemed okay and about a week later I started hearing a noise coming from the rear of my car. It started like a soft thud almost like you had a flat tire. I would look around the car and all tires were inflated and I could see nothing wrong. As the days went on the noise progressively got louder and louder. At that time I called Mercedes to schedule an appointment to bring the SUV in as the noise was very irritating. On the day of my appointment as I was driving to Mercedes I made a turn and my SUV came to a halting stop. I got out and saw that my rear drivers side tire had come off and my axle was on the street. I was horrified that my tire came off as I had been on the Highway the day before and had this happened then I would have most likely been dead and the tire would have killed others as well. Once the flat bed tow truck arrived sent from Mercedes, The first thing the driver said was " You have no Lug nuts In this wheel". I was blown away. Mercedes charged me $3,800 to repair the SUV. I then reached out to Dante at Caroline Tires as well as their Corporate Office where I got zero help. I called, texted and no one took any accountability. No one but Caroline Tires had worked on my car! The head of Mercedes Service said to me that the five Lug Nuts had come off one by one causing the noise to get louder each time one fell off. He also said that the Lug Nuts were put back on the wheel, BUT never tightened!! I should have gotten my money back as well as compensation for this accident. Buyer beware! I had been going to this place for years and they used to be honest and fair. Unfortunately, there is new management and they stole a lot of money from me. I had ordered four tires total and because I "trusted " them.. they told me that I needed to pay ahead of time, in order for their business to order the quality brand tires which I had requested. When I came to pick up my car (which they kept for four days and did not call me or return my calls and kept my car fob key) When I finally got my car back, it had offbrand cheap tires on my car! They would not give me a credit. They also charged me for a wheel alignment. Then they tried to say that I needed an oil change and asked if I wanted them to complete an oil change. I said "NO" and that I had just had my car serviced a week prior! They are liars. This business does not operate honestly and they will charge you for services which you do not request. They will charge you for premium tires, but place off brand cheap tires on your car and hope that they get away with it. Please get the word out. It used to be a good business. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEEK SECOND OPTION! I will come here only if I need a simple oil change or some tires (keep in mind the prices here are like corporate tire shops). I came in to check an issue with my car thinking it might be a defect with my front breaks. After they supposedly did their diagnostics, he stated it was the rotors now he said, "MAYBE" it's both of them so he recommended to change them both and obviously both breaks come pairs so need to be change as well Total price $375. Now went to another mechanic shop in WPB he CONFIRMED my rotors were perfectly fine. It was the caliber charge me $275 for brakes, labor, and caliber. Carolina tire was charging me $35. For the diagnostic check. I asked what did he do? he said the guy drove around I called in advance they said it was free. I offered to pay $20 for the guys time. Brought my Lexus because my wipers will not squirt water. I didn't want to go to Lexus service thinking I will be charged a ton for it. The guy from Caroline tires said it was my reservoir because he filled up the water tank and it worked and it leaked so he was going to order me the part about $500 plus $200+ labor but I decided against it and brought it to Lexus and found out that it was the hose not reservoir and they charged me $350 for everything. read more

This place used to be my go-to for everything, super nice and knowledgeable folks who helped people out and did good work. I don't know what changed, but I know I have had nothing but problems with both my vehicles every time I took it in there the past 2 years. Power steering pump, already dead again.. loose lug nuts, not balancing 4 brand new tires, lied to both mine and my boyfriend's faces several times about tires on both vehicles and what's "stock" for our vehicle (which was wrong), how having two diff styles of tires on a car doesn't wear the tires / drive wrong.. put the wrong tires on my car and took many conversations before they honored what they did and put the right ones we asked for on after lying and saying the tires we originally wanted were discontinued only to suddenly change their mind on that when my boyfriend called the other location and found out the tires weren't discontinued..... now today to discover that they destroyed every single lug nut on both my car's front tires, had to replace the hubs, some were completely frozen on, all over torqued. We don't know how bad the back ones are yet. We aren't sure if it was due to their anger at having to put the tires we asked for originally onto my car or just complete incompetence, either way, this place has cost me more money in the last two years than they have saved me the entire many years I have been there. Sad to see another once gold star place go down like this, I sent a lot of people here and gave them praise so many times but I will not recommend them ever again, not even for a tire patch. read more

As a woman with sub par car knowledge, it can sometimes be intimidating to go into car shops. Caroline is my go to car place for anything they service (they're more than just tires). The staff are all friendly, informative and courteous. I never feel like I'm being scammed or ripped off. Dare I say...they feel honest??? Have integrity?? Shame to be shocked. Their prices are reasonable and they're fast/efficient. The owner's wife most often answers the phone when I've called and she's an absolute pleasure to speak with. I do not recommend this place at all! First they gave a price over the phone for two used tires. When we got there and they put the tires on they added an additional $100 to the total but what choice did we have at this point? The lady in the office was very unfriendly and rude. And while one tire they put on was a good tire the other one was worse than the one we had replaced. It was also from the year 2016. The tire shop we took it to the next day said it was illegal for them to put a tire that old/bad on a car. I couldn't send anyone to this place with a good conscience, as they have none. read more

This is a the back tire of my Honda da Accord 2019. The wheel was making a sound while driving, like stomping. I went to this location in Lake Worth, and asked to check all the wheel, the young at the counter said that I need two new front tires. They replaced and I left. The sound continued, I trusted them! I'm on the road all day. One of the tires exploded, luckily I was near a tire center where they told me The back tires needed to be replaced. My question is why at Caroline's tire wouldn't tell me I needed to replace all 4 tires? First, they put my life at risk, second, the sales guy at the front desk is incompetent and quickly sold me two front tires. If you were too busy, you should have told me but instead he went the fast route. He clearly said he checked the tires and evidently he didn't! I would not recommend anyone to go to this place! Family business since 1984. That normally says it all. We went there with a tricky problem concerning our Acrua's rim, we brought a replacement rim (wheel) and asked them to find the rim on the car that was causing problems when you go over 55 MPH. They identified the bad rim (it had a dent in in it) and replaced it with the good rim. They suggested that we keep the dented rim in case we wanted to use it as a full size spare. Stay away from those chain stores that try to rip you off and up sell you car parts the don't even belong on your car. Here is a big tip, if you ask me to rate their waiting room, they really don't; have one, but you are right in the heart of Lake Worth, take a walk to the lagoon, get lunch... ...a lot better than even hanging at the high end dealerships with your free Starbucks... read more

Went to get two back tires and was talked into replacing front as well. I was hesitant though agreed. The tires they replaced them with were cracked and looked worse. I complained to them though was assured the tires were fine. A few weeks later my tire blew out on those very cracks while driving on 95. Stay away from this place. read more

Great family business. If you are in pricey Delray and need tire assistance up the road, come to this place. The dealer told me a nail was in my tire and wanted me to replace the tire. I came here and no nail! We just pumped them up and great since. Very honest people. You can just swing by and hand them a tip for checking out your tire and/or just pumping air in them all. Needed a tire fixed in a hurry, the folks at Carolines had me out the door before I could even sit down, at a reasonable price. Very friendly and did what was needed, no more. One tip: if you park in the alley to the left of the business, it can be dicey if you have to back out - try going to end end, and you can turn left to the garage bays - safer and easier. read more

I have been here for tires and oil changes. Always friendly and fast. Great prices always. This time I had a cracked intake manifold replaced along with spark plugs and thermostat. Saved at least $220. They suspected a blown head gasket or warped head, but quickly discovered it was not that bad. They could have ripped me off doing unnecessary repairs, but they didn't. More than I can say for Tire Kingdom (who I caught red-handed). Danny and Gary are honest and easy to work with. Job finished in one day as promised. I will go back! read more

I've never written a yelp review before but Mark from Caroline Tires was so incredibly helpful, nice, professional and honest that I just had to write a review. My boyfriend and I had driven all the way from New York to West Palm beach when the whole car began to rattle and shake badly. We took it another place and they said they could try to fix it but it would take more than two hours and cost about 200 dollars. We got a second opinion with Mark at Caroline Tires and he fixed it in less than 15 minutes and didn't even charge us. We tipped him all the cash we had but you could tell he didn't expect it. He wished us a safe trip back home, gave me a warm fatherly hug and made me promise him we'd be safe driving back through the wintery conditions up north. Upstanding, fair men with integrity. Fast and friendly oil change place. The other reviews are spot on - these guys are friendly and fast, didn't suggest anything more than what we needed. It cost about $25 for an oil & filter change and fluid check. The place has a "hole in the wall" kind of charm - the waiting area is nice, but you wouldn't even know it was there as everyone just waits in the garage area on plastic chairs. Seems like this is a well-known spot to the locals, they handled about half a dozen folks' issues (new tires, alignment, oil change) while I was there.
