I recently purchased a 2022 Hyundai Kona N Line with only 22k miles, from Florida Fine Cars (4/23)…read moreand I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Exactly 1 week, and 3 days (5/3) after my purchase, the vehicle began experiencing serious transmission problems -- violent jerking on acceleration, grinding sounds, and failure to roll normally when shifted into Drive. When I took it to Braman Hyundai (5/4), I was told the transmission needs to be fully replaced at a cost of $8,500. They mentioned to me that it seems like the transmission was already worked on and they did a very poor job. I checked the carfax report and the one previous owner only serviced the vehicle at hyundai dealerships (nothing serious only service oil changes, and tire rotations) up until it got sold to Florida Fine Cars where they did they're own service to the vehicle. Still not labeled as anything transmission related. They seem to have known about this issue and still sold the car regardless, just not report it to the carfax report. I've seen Florida Fine Cars reply to other 1 star reviews stating they disclose all the information with the customer, and provide honest carfax reports. However, none of this issue was disclosed to me at the time of sale, and it does not appear anywhere on the Carfax report Florida Fine Cars provided me that the transmission was worked on. The only thing they stated was a small accident to the front and side bumper, all cosmetic. I would not have taken the car if the transmission was bad. To make matters worse, I texted the sales representative, Josue (apparently the "new guy") to inform him of the issue with the car HE sold me and he stated to me "bro i don't even work there anymore" Another weird red flag to add to everything. Ive called multiple times, and cant get through to anyone, they say they'll call back but don't. Its almost as if they see my number pop up and purposely not answer because i called from a different phone number and they didn't hesitate to answer, I was able to speak to Mark who was the service manager he said. Saying he'll "look into it" If you are considering purchasing a used car from them, I strongly urge you to have any vehicle independently inspected before signing anything. Do not rely solely on the Carfax they provide you even though they swear by their honest reports.

Initially, I was skeptical about the purchase because the vehicle was advertised on OfferUp as having 120,460 miles, but it actually has 165,860. Against my better judgment, I went ahead with the purchase. I couldn't take the vehicle home that day, but the sales team reassured me that I could pick it up on Sunday, October 5th. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, Michael Lahusky's demeanor was immediately unprofessional and arrogant; his kinesics showed anger and hostility toward us. His responses were abrasive and combative; he was unwilling to efficiently and proficiently communicate with me about the final details of the purchase. After being informed that I had financed the vehicle. I explained that it was a cash purchase and asked for two key fobs. Michael (Mike) Lahusky instantly became enraged and lashed out at us, verbally abusing us, hurling demeaning, vile, obscene profanity, derogatory, and threatening language at me and my eighty-five-year-old mother-in-law. He approached us in a gesture/posture as though he wanted to put his hands on us. I guess two older minority females were prime targets for him. Feeling unsafe, we called the Sheriff and filed a report.

After loan approval, it took 14 days to schedule the notary public signing. Several days for them to receive back the paperwork. Then another 14 days to schedule delivery of the vehicle. Another 7-8 days for it to arrive. Once arrived a third party company, Executive Tag & Title Svcs., that holds the title for the finance company, sent a message saying they would take care of getting the vehicle registered. I was not informed by the dealership of this process. I called Executive Tag & Title Svcs. company, to ask a question on the same day that they reached out. Their representative did not reply for another three weeks. On November 3rd the Oregon temporary tags expired, so I was able to get a 30 day moving permit from the Nevada DMV. That temp permit expired on December 3rd. Then after submitting the requested documents, they submitted my document packet to the Nevada DMV. It has taken another 8 weeks for the DMV to issue registration and license plates on December 30, 2025. But Executive Tag & Title Svcs. company had the registration package sent to the dealership in Oregon "at the request of the dealership". So as of today the vehicle still does not have license plates. In the meantime the vehicle was issued a citation of $75 for not having up to date registration by local authorities. Because the vehicle is titled under my company name, I had to get commercial insurance before applying for registration, which costs more than $400 per month. So the vehicle has been sitting idle in front of my house for the last two months, while I'm out of $800 in insurance costs, and two monthly loan payments amounting to nearly $2k. I can not recommend this company.

That turned out to be false. The ride is terrible. I was also promised that I would be involved in the customization process, but I was not. Decisions were made without the level of input I was told I would have, and the final build did not match the specifications I clearly communicated. I specifically told them the vehicle could not exceed 6'7 in height because I need to fit into parking garages throughout California. I was assured that would not be an issue, yet the final vehicle ended up too tall, and it now causes ongoing problems in daily life. To make matters worse, I was sold expensive insurance that I later found out I cannot even use in my state. I was also charged $3,500 for a custom truck bed cover that is made of cheap plastic and leaks. Because it leaks, mold has grown on items stored in the truck bed. Charging premium prices for workmanship and materials like this is unacceptable. I ended up spending far more than intended on a vehicle and upgrades that did not match what was represented to me. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business. I paid premium prices based on clear assurances, and what I received did not match what was promised.

***Long Post Alert***…read more The car buying process has NEVER been this easy! I had to call my sales associate back to make sure we didn't forget to do something So after the PB Mitsubishi debacle, I was reminded that I know someone who works at CarMax in VA. So I went on their website and got prequalified. I found the vehicle I wanted in Orlando and then reached out to my guy to see what the next step was. This was on a Friday afternoon. My guy was off that day but jumped right in to assist me. He advised me to schedule a test drive so that the car would be reserved. He looked at what I had submitted and gave me an idea of what my payments would look like and what bank I would get the loan from. He said on Monday he would call me and we would get the process done. Over the weekend, I browsed through their inventory and found another one that I may be interested in that was in NC. Fast forward to Monday (3/17/2015), I spoke to my guy told him that I found a newer model of the vehicle I originally picked out that I wanted. Provided him with the stock number and he advised me to cancel my appointment with the one in Orlando and pay the shipping fee to have the one I wanted shipped to my nearest store. Then he submitted everything to the bank. He then told me that his goal is to make sure when I get to the dealership, I won't need to do much. The ETA for was between 3/22 and 3/27. I was notified every step of the way with the shipping of the vehicle. It arrived at the Royal Palm store on the morning of 3/22. All of my paperwork was submitted on that day and reps from the store made contact with me multiple times throughout the day. By 6:30 that evening, I was at CarMax speaking with Amanda and Brogan (I think that was his name). They were perfect and had me out of there within one hour of my arrival with my keys in my hand!!!!!! I would recommend CarMax to anyone! The customer service was above and beyond from start to finish! In addition, I called a few days later asking for new windshield wipers and they told me to come one over and they would take care of it. They did, with no hassle!
