I recently visited the hen with some friends and purchased a box of their mixed salted caramels, and some of the imperfect bark. The staff greeted us upon entering was available if we had questions and served us and other patrons as they came in pretty quickly. They do have barks and boxes of chocolate already wrapped up and available to pick up or you can create a custom box. If you haven't been before look for the little carousel close to the register that has the imperfect candies and barks. It's a great deal for your money because items that don't look quite as good as what's on. The shelves are here, but I'm telling you the taste is wonderful. I can see why the salted caramels are so popular and I've gotten the attention that they had because the caramel is smooth and creamy. The chocolate surround is the perfect thickness and with the size everything is balanced, especially with the pinch of salt on top. If you're in Rochester, New York, I definitely suggest making a trip to HEDONIST.

I live in Medina, and I am a chocoholic, so having Della's in Medina is perfect for me…read more When I grew up in Medina, and especially when I moved down south for 15 years, it was very difficult for me to get one of my favorites, orange chocolate. When Della's opened in Medina (originally under different ownership), I finally had a place to get orange chocolate whenever I wanted it. I was disappointed when the original owners closed it after about a year and it sat dark for months. I was ecstatic when the current family purchased it and reopened. When that happened, Della's became even better. If you go to any Mom and Pop type shop that makes their own chocolate, the flavor always tastes pretty similar to me (including Oliver's in Batavia). That's a good thing because I like the taste. Della's is a nice and quaint little chocolate shop amongst restaurants and other businesses on Main Street Medina. They have many varieties of chocolate. My favorite is the chocolate with bits of potato chip mixed in. I also like the orange chocolate, sponge candy, chocolate with toffee bits, chocolate covered oreos, peanut butter bark and the mint covered oreos. They also have some nick nacks that they sell like signs with humorous chocolate sayings on them.
