How much does a heat pump cost in 2026? In 2025 the heat pump unit on our house cost more than $5,000, plus installation costs. It is built to last about 10 years. Because of good maintenance on the previous unit we got that one to last 14 years. Prior to that the Goettl A/C on the roof lasted 35 years. But, it was an air conditioner, with a gas furnace for heating. If we recover 10% of our heat pump energy lost to leaks in our 58 year old ducting, the APS bill goes down 10%. Wear and tear on the heat pump reduces 10%. O my millions of readers and followers, you know we depend on Climate Pros for our cooling and heating systems. A few days ago we were told we had significant leaking in our ducting, with temperature measurements demonstrating the loss. After purchasing the Aeroseal ductwork sealant application it did not improve my HVAC system efficiency. There is a continuous dust problem since the duct sealing system was applied by an authorized dealer. Overall, the application is ineffective. The ductwork was cleaned prior to the sealant application by a local company and re-cleaned again by same Aeroseal licensed dealer. There was no improvement in the amount of dust throughout my home and the air filters are changed every thirty days. Aeroseal should have offered a free Re-evaluation from a different HVAC professional to conduct a thorough inspection and identify any leaks that may have been missed. Reconsider your options before purchasing the application. I am completely dissatisfied. read more

I live in NE Florida; received initI'll return call but then runaround and avoidance. I was told,I needed to get a door blower test and duct leakage test done before anything could be done; which I finished but never any return calls or attempts to make appointment in spite of many calls, message and texts with test results provided. I would NOT recommend doing business with the NE FL office. read more

I was referred by one of the technicians from my HVAC maintenance company. The Aeroseal process seems straight forward and they deliver a good service. I'm a bothersome customer who asks too many questions, and everyone I worked with from this company was very patient, kind, and professional. They let me hover and answered all my questions. They were scheduled to come to my home, but they closed their doors due to COVID-19. A few days later, they called me up and rescheduled. I could tell the gentleman was sorry they had to cancel. Since last year when my A/C unit troubles began, one of the first things I was told was that my ducts were not properly sealed. Since we finally got a company who could fix my other A/C issues here, they put us in contact with Aero to come seal the ducts after they finished fixing the other issues. They came within days of the other repairs and it was so worth it. A lot of my ducts used to rattle (not a lot but it was noticeable especially in my bathroom) and it was some of the reason the A/C would run practically forever at some points in really hot/cold weather. Every one of the guys that came to do the sealing were so wonderful and professional. Let me tell you all something that really sticks out about their professionalism. I have an antique clock that is right under one of my ducts and it had to be moved so they could work. Well after everything is said and done, one of them, without any prompting or being asked, just gently put it back on the wall for us; they even asked if they had put it back straight! That is amazing to me! It was just such a kind gesture, and after such an ordeal it made me really, really happy. Recommended by my regular Heating/AC service, Day and Night who had shown me a photo of lots of black mold-type spots, saying I needed duct cleaning, $3,500 which I agreed to on Jan 21, and the charge went through that day.....services not performed until Jan 25. They were on time, neat/clean/quiet/efficient. I was told by D&N it would take three hours. It took one. Fine. Then they gave me a report, guarantee and then asked me to sign a "survey" about how they'd done, but "just sign, we'll fill it out". I read it over and at that point would have given them a "5". I did sign it for them to fill it out. That was really dumb. I know better. Whether what they did was worth the money, I have no idea, but I thought that kind of business practice went out years ago,"oh just sign here". All my own fault for not getting quotes etc. Just saying. read more

We went from the equivalent of 53.1 refrigerators full of cold air loss to almost zero! Basically we started with an equivalent of a 16.7 inch hole to a 0.5 inch hole. The guys were marvelous and explained everything along the way. The actually poked a small knife hole in the induction plastic so we could watch the hole seal within seconds!
