It is a smaller store but still available, nonetheless. The employees were really friendly and helpful. There was a pretty good sale going on for the weekend and so I was able to exchange a few items and get some new items. I really appreciate TORRID..their clothes are pretty good value given the price point. I'm glad that this brick and mortar store still exists and I will be returning.

I had to exchange some pants I bought online on 12/4/17 and the representative (Dallas) and the manager on duty (Emily) provided excellent service helping me to find the correct pants and ordering them online. Emily stayed with me throughout the entire transaction and made sure that I got to see how each color of the pants I wanted actually looked before ordering the size I needed. Very professional and friendly and was patient with me with all the questions I had regarding the different style of pants. Would recommend this store to anyone!

Disappointing Experience…read more I had an amazing shopping experience at Banana Republic in Columbia Mall until checkout. The cashier saw me waiting and refused to assist me until a coworker told her to. She then questioned why her coworkers couldn't check me out instead. Had me standing not trying to help check me out. attitude was unnecessary, disrespectful, and honestly made me feel singled out. I'm not sure what her issue was, but customers should NEVER be made to feel unwelcome when they're simply trying to make a purchase. Management should definitely address this & it wasn't everyone I'm not a confrontational person so I didn't felt the need to get out of character at a place where I'm spending 100s of dollars . The J Crew @ Arundel Mills reminds me of the fun times I once had shopping in the mid-prep wonderland. Today, I even saw critter chinos. J Crew is the 1st place I got my Critter Chinos (still have them to this day - at least 10 yrs old). While this store has a great layout, I can no longer fit the J Crew profile (too much beer, I guess... ah well) but my friend just got these awesome cranberry chinos (reg. $98) for $9!!!! Whaaaaat?!?! I was the best shopping/styling guru today. I helped him find some amazing deals. That said, they are having a 40-80% sale right now. If J Crew is your speed, get down there and scour... I was ready to give in to defeat and to see if torrid had any jeans, but I was walking past American Eagle and saw they had a 50% sale and I said why not to just see what they have. I was greeted and helped by who I think was the store manager her name was Paige. She was amazing. I felt no judgment and fully supported by her, giving me a wide range of sizes as well as styles just to see. What I appreciate was that she said we have tall options , but we also have different sizes where the regular is just long on its own and so she gave me a variety of things to try. She was right some of the 20s fitted some of the 18s fitted while some other 20s and 18th didn't fit. She went and grabbed anything that I needed and was very patient with me and for someone who only shops online I had a great experience with her in the store and will probably go to the store again just because of her energy and patience in my process of trying things on. I will definitely start shopping at that American Eagle store going forward.

Some of the clothes can be over the top for my taste and sometimes it can hit the mark. It was a pleasure to see a familiar customer service representative still working there. They always greet their customers. I did find a pair of pants and they were long enough for my liking. The jeggings however were not fitting well. My curvy bottom could not keep the pants up, but I did like how the looked in my legs. The only negative stop putting fake pockets on if they have no provide no use. I was glad they still carry tall pants in their store unlike their other competitors. I will be back for some jeans.

Big disappointment because the nylons were for Sunday church. Called store later that day and told the first person that items were purchased and clerk did not put nylons in the bag. They keep putting me on hold. Second person asked what size, I wasn't sure, then asked who waited on me. I described the person, they put me on hold and came back asked my name and said okay they were there you can come get them. I was trying to tell them I would come and get them Monday. On Monday I went to counter explained I was there to pick up nylons that they didn't put in my bag. All the clerk did was ask me my name. There was no --- I'm sorry for the inconvenience or sorry for mistake. She just handed me the nylons, no bag or any sense of apology. Having worked in retail and customer service, I would have apologized and given something to the customer to show their business was appreciated and ask for their forgiveness in not putting the item in the bag when purchased. But that's just something I don't would have done.

Aside from apparel they have shoe wear, caps/hats, belts, and handbags. Their merchandise is completely different than what I would wear, so I will not be shopping there.
