Superbit is a retro gamestore and may accept some popular game consoles and rare games. I was greeted and was helped right away. The store employee knew exactly why I was there. He noticed the bright green color of my Pokemon leaf green and stopped everything to assess the value of my total trade in. If I had known how much Pokemon would have blown up in the past, I would have kept all of my cards and games and sold them here. Fun fact: The game box/packaging is worth more than the game itself. If you have a mint condition box that the game came in, it could be worth a lot. I thought I ended up with a good bargain because of the quick trade in and knowledge base of the employee. I am glad I got rid of my childhood games for some cash. I learned that retro stores like this is considered like an antique store.

Walking in at 1 PM on a Thursday and there were a few customers enjoying the gaming area up front. Enjoyed browsing the collection of figures, magazines, comics and massive collection of games. The arcade machines are a nice touch and there is plenty to keep you entertained. Early 2000's rock was playing on their sound system and the staff all seemed to be very willing to help as I was able to easily leave a request for a callback if a specific NECA figure came into stock. The arcade machines included Arcade1UP machines alongside a Pandora Box DX multi arcade cabinet setup inside of a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo machine which seemed to have working controls from my play testing. Marley Station is a pretty low traffic mall but I could easily see dropping by when I am in the area even thought I don't have much need to buy video games these days. Prices seemed pretty fair for this kind of store and in general felt like a main attraction for the entire mall.

Kyle, Jake C. and Nicky were very kind and checked the inventory in depth to find the one controller they had in stock, for 20 dollars the controller was in excellent condition. Seems to have a good selection of games especially and an assortment of retro controllers which is better than most, will be back next time I am in the area going forward.

GameStop is great, but it's so... mainstream, you know? Thanks to social media, I learned about this spot that just opened up in Wheaton Mall about two weeks ago. When I walked in it was pretty early -- the lights weren't even on, and the only staff at the time was organizing some wall hangers. But the decor is immediately inviting -- even from outside, you see some retro systems and retro title screens on monitors on display. It's glorious. The merch hits you as soon as you walk in. There are shelves of mostly old games --- there is some new stuff too, of course -- but, all the mobiles, all the Playstations, all the old Nintendos... it's all there. Now, the GameCube selection is a little lacking at the moment, but they're working on that. And it goes without saying that all the accessories you could ever need were present too. Games aside, the walls are LINED with posters, low and high. There are normal posters, holographic ones (which really are the rage lately and I love them), posters with wooden backs, and they're of all sizes. There's a whole ton of car or computer decal -- I believe there were $4 each, but they're gonna start doing deals for multiple ones. There were a ton of keychains, holographic decal, and lanyards as well. In the display case were some trading cards... Magic, Yugioh, and Pokemon caught my attention.
