My friend and I went in to buy a couple of bikes about a month ago. Chris waited on us, and was most patient! I detected no hints of 'saltiness'...he listened to what we were looking for and guided us in the right direction. I could not be happier with the service, prices, and everything else. I expect business owners to make money off my purchases and the labor they perform...in fact, I need them to so they can stay in business and help me with future needs. I read the previous reviews of this establishment after my visit and I guess I didn't encounter this "salty" or "holier than thou" character that others described. Chris was extremely helpful to me. I went in mainly to get an opinion on the value of my somewhat antiquated Gary Fisher mountain bike, since I'd been contemplating selling or trading it in for something a little more modern. Chris educated me on some of the aspects of newer bikes, showed me numerous models and their differences from mine and even looked at my bike and gave me a fair assessment, not of the value, because that's not his expertise (THANKS FOR NOT PRETENDING), but of what I should consider in a trade or sale based on my requirements. read more

I could not be more stoked on our local bike shop. Super friendly, great service, and always into trying to get you back on your bike at a minimum cost. As Bishop is a small town, without a big biking scene (though it should have one, the riding around here is awesome!) the shop is small and might not have everything. Also it is true that (like most bike shops) they do need to charge for service, though I'm not sure why that would be surprising to anyone. Anyway, come mountain biking in Bishop, and when the 5-6,000 ft of elevation descents melt your brakes, go to Aerohead and get them fixed! read more

He worked with us on pricing, fit her to the bike, recommended gear, and made sure we knew that follow up services were included. I was gonna buy some stuff at least but then the guy wouldn't let me use a chain breaker and admitted to making money off working on bikes. 4 bucks to put on a chain designed to be assembled quickly? I was road biking around the Eastern Sierras with a group and bent my derailleur which made climbing horrendous (no low gears). My bike is a rather high end bike with new DuraAce Di2. Most shops did not want to work on my bike but Chris (?) the shop owner offered to see what he could do! I'm so thankful for his efforts! My trip would have been cut short had he not corrected the issue. Chris and his employees were friendly, helpful and the shop has a vibe that you simply don't find anymore unless you're a repeat customer. As a pass through customer I'm grateful for his assistance. If you live in the area buy your bikes from him!!! He's a wonderful shop owner, he's certainly fair and I wish I had a local shop like his near me in SoCal!!! read more

So I'm driving down 395 just minding my business when out of my review I see what looks like my bicycle tire rolling away . I pull over and just CHP pulls up behind me . Luckily the nice officer went back down the road and found tire . Awesome ... but the wheel is missing the skewer . That's were Aerohead cycles comes in .
