Came here on June 3rd around 630 pm, the lady behind the counter wouldn't greet you, was on her phone and when you came to pay she didn't say a word. Get another girl. She'll push away your clientele. Either that or someone could steal something and this girl won't even notice. 2. Their stuff is cute, but a lot of it is misplaced and expensive. They get off on taking advantage of the community because it is Williamsburg. Crystals are way too overpriced. So are the jewelry which the lady in the front didn't know the material of the jewelry was or if it was hypoallergenic. I didn't end up grabbing anything, but I'm still thinking about some of the mugs I saw inside. They have a flower bar at the back which was interesting to me, but I didn't partake this time around. I picked up their hot "Pumpkin, pumpkin latte" and was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't recommend it to the espresso purist, but I thought it tasted lovely and was perfect for a stroll through Greenpoint on the first snow day in NYC this winter. They also offered some pastries but I'm a butter purist and they were vegan, so I did not partake. This isn't a sit down shop by any means, it's definitely a place to stop in then keep it moving. The LALALAMP, by R Merlin, was love at first sight as it plays with the material of something that is hard and fragile that can break, while it looks like cardboard and malleable and, thus, indestructible if it were to fall. I also purchased the "Tumbler" unique in its shape and that feels "just right" when you hold it in your hand, and "Pitcher" that looks rusted, both by Jordan Colon. John and his very kind helper, Michael, showed up on the day and time they said they would. Since when does the store owner personally hand deliver their own goods? There was constant communication between John and I and he arrived in a gorgeous delivery truck... yes, it really is gorgeous. The sofa was triple bubble wrapped and taped. I was gobsmacked. My worries about the sofa being dropped on concrete or the leather being scraped on a wall, vanished. John and Michael wheeled the sofa up to my apartment, centered it along my living room wall, removed the bubble wrap and, voilà, my boring white living room turned into Versailles. I enjoyed John and Michael so much. Afterwards, we had a nice visit complete with the requisite selfies. Never was buying a piece of furniture this easy and painless. Definitely not somewhere that I would ever afford to go and honestly I'm not so much into the feng shui and all of the fancy homestyle stuff, as you might be if you're reading this. I'm not really sure. It's possible that when we have a lot more money that Barbie is going to want to come to places like this. But honestly I think it may be for Brooklynites that have so much money that they don't know what to do with it.
