The only reason I'm giving them even two stars is because their food is good. But their customer service can be pretty terrible. The other day I ordered delivery and it took a full hour and a half to get there. I called them after an hour, and when I said I still hadn't gotten my order and I just wanted to see if it left yet, they copped an attitude and said 'yeah he left and he'll be there in a minute.' 20 minutes later, it still wasn't there. So I called back again and politely asked if they could call the driver and ask where he was. They put who I assume was the manager on the phone who proceeded to tell me that I live far away (I live about 10 minutes away), and basically, deal with it, and he should be there soon. Then he only apologized at the very end of the conversation as an afterthought after I was clearly annoyed at how I was being spoken to. Then today, I ordered on grub hub. I ordered buffalo wings. When they came, there was no sauce on them. I called to tell them there was no sauce on them. And he said, 'oh, the buffalo wings are plain, and the Aegea wings have buffalo sauce on them.' I say, the description on grub hub just says buffalo wings... And usually buffalo wings have buffalo sauce on them, so how was I supposed to know that? And then he proceeds to tell me they have no control over how grub hub lists things (which I know from personal experience is bs), and keeps reiterating that if I wanted buffalo sauce I should have ordered the Aegea wings. To which I keep on saying, unless you specifically say they're plain on the menu, why should someone assume that "buffalo wings" don't have buffalo sauce on them, and that I did not want plain wings. And basically his response was just, 'that's grub hub's problem, not ours.' Then he refuses to rectify the situation, cops an attitude with me the whole time, and at one point after again, I'm clearly annoyed, he says "well, if you order from our website in the future, we'll take care of you then." To which I said, "I don't want this to be rectified at a future date, I am sitting here having wasted money on something I'm not going to eat and you're saying you won't do anything about it." To which he then circles back to it's grub hub's fault and therefore not my problem. It's a shame because their food is great, but their customer service is rude as hell. read more

Made my second order of the day via seamless- all we wanted was a souvlaki platter with extra rice. That means the Greek salad and the extra rice. What we got was pork and rice. When we called to ask about the salad. We got a VERY obnoxious man yelling that that is what we order. I wrote on the notes "extra rice" I did not say omit the salad... So, I told him that that was specified on the menu... He kept on getting more obnoxious I told him to send the salad and he said he will have to change me for it. Why??? What happened to the costumer is always right? Awful awful did I say awful costumer service. Did I say it was our 2nd time ordering from them that day???? He lost a very very good costumer. I was visiting the area and searched YELP for a bite to eat. Aegea was the perfect spot. It looks like a regualr pizzeria but with a great twist...Greek Food! I had a taste of the spinach pie and it was really good. I also had the gyro plate which came with a genorous portion of meat, salad and fries (highly reccomended). The staff was really nice. About the souvlaki and the gyro sandwiches. Souvlaki is just ok. Gyro is not the typical greek gyro, that's for sure, but it is doner (they were serving that in Greece 50 years ago). The fries are pre-cooked, so I wouldn't expect much. I have been there two times and they never give an actual receipt. They just give you a pice of paper with some numbers on it... That's unacceptable for me. You do not know what you pay for. I will never go there again. Instead I will try a Greek place where they respect the customer. Souvlaki is made up of very dry pieces of crap. The Gyro has a SALTY taste to it. It's inedible. And it's not lamb it's processed beef not the authentic Greek gyro your probably hoping for. Don't order any kind of seafood dish unless you feel like getting the runs all night. And don't order pasta, the pasta I ordered was cold hard and dried out not soft or fresh. Avgolemono soup taste like it's poured straight from a bottle of RealLemon Concentrated lemon juice, its so bitter its horrible. It's always really loud and there's always some kind of commotion going on in here, don't expect a nice quiet sit down meal. The only redeeming thing about this place... wait sorry can't think of anyting. Go to GREEK ISLANDS a few blocks down the boulevard instead! I have loved Aegea for years; I've been a faithful customer for the last 18 years and love the food. However, I ordered a delivery on Seamless and explicitly wrote for my chicken kebab platter not to put any soy or dairy because a family member has severe soy and dairy allergies. The food came, missing ordered drinks, with feta cheese on the entire platter. When I called to tell them, the manager yelled at me and said it wasn't a big deal. He read the instructions back to me over the call, but said they don't read that "fine print" where you put order notes on Seamless. He then hung up on me! I called back and said I've never experienced this before, and was shocked. When a restaurant customer has an allergy, it can be life threatening, which I explained to the manager. He started laughing at me and asked me how old I am, because I'm out of my mind, and what am I even talking about, "life threatening"? He didn't understand the huge liability issue. I asked for my money back since we couldn't eat the food and he refused and hung up on me again. I called Seamless and explained what happened and they were very kind and accommodating. I have no idea how a restaurant can treat a customer this way who has medical issues that they were notified about. I've never experienced this before since restaurants always go out of their way to make sure their patrons don't get sick from their food. They definitely lost a long time customer, and beware if you have any kind of food allergies because they clearly don't care. read more
