If I could give 6 stars I would. Great fun, great lunch, great company! A must-do! Leon, or whom I refer to as the Irish Viking, was the epicenter of our amazing day and it wouldn't have been the same without him! We were in town for a funeral and our day with him kicked off an epic celebration of life befitting our family, which is one of a kind. For that alone I raise a glass to him on behalf of all of us! He guided us down with flare and a TON of fun and kept us out of the carnage videos! (thank you Leon for that) I mean I enjoy swimming like anyone else, but not usually in a raging pit of death water in an Olympic course of class IV's. We absolutely had the best time, it was a cousins reunion and our seasoned cuz/rafting guide of many many years extraoridinaire enjoyed herself as well and gave our Irish Viking 10 thumbs up! Thanks for respecting the water while letting us have too many laughs enjoying the beauty of the Ocoee and keeping us safe to go home to our families unscathed, not even one single tooth missing from a t-grip! Our ladies group from church recently went on a whitewater rafting trip with Adventures Unlimited, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Firstly, the staff was incredibly accommodating and tremendously helpful in getting our group together. They made the booking process smooth and easy, which was a great start to our adventure. The facility itself is wonderful. It's very clean, with spacious changing areas that made it easy for all of us to get ready and freshen up afterwards. This attention to detail really added to the comfort and convenience of our visit. The guides were simply amazing. They were kind, helpful, and professional. They ensured our safety at all times while making sure we had loads of fun. Their knowledge and expertise made us feel at ease, even those of us who were a bit nervous about rafting for the first time. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I offered the following review, in part, directly to Adventures Unlimited via email but they chose not to respond. My poor star rating was because of this. The trip was on August 25, 2018. "First, I want to say that myself and my companion had a great day on the river! Our guide was professional and fun! I hope he received the tip we left in the box! But on a sour note, I was somewhat taken aback by your apparent policy of allowing guides to smoke while on the job. I viewed two guides smoking at the upper put-in while offloading boats and again at the takeout. Also, one of your guides allowed a customer to smoke a pipe while on the water. Regardless of the profession, this behavior is highly unprofessional. So, we had a great day but I thought you should be aware of these practices and the possible impact they may have on a customer's decision to return. Thank you. Dennis (and Ines, from Germany, and her first ever whitewater experience!)" And a side note: the photo package offered afterwards is ridiculously expensive. read more

Leon (I hope I spelled it right) was outstanding for our group. We were the only boat on the river, as it is very early in the season, and it was a very special experience. He told us so many stories and had us laughing the entire time (Even soaking wet in the cold water). For me, this was my second time with Adventures Unlimited, the first time with this company for three others in my group, and the first time ever for 2 people in my group. We all raved on and on about the time we had. I absolutely would book with them again, and would 100% request Leon!!! He was highly experienced, and his people skills are unmatched! The Bus Bar and Grill was DELICIOUS! We all ordered various things from a quesadilla to a Philly to burgers and more, and everything was so good! 10/10 experience all around! We had an Awesome experience! We did the middle classic. It was raining but we hardly noticed it because of all the fun. Daniel, our guide was phenomenal! He took us over all the good spots and "surfed us" whenever possible. We were soaked and had a blast! Highly recommend it for a routine excursion for the whole family or even a getaway for just the adults. Very organized from start to finish. Kept us very informed of all the necessary prep and safety. All of the staff was very friendly and hilarious with the way they took us through all the "boring stuff". Daniel, was not only our boat guide but also our tour guide as he pointed out all the interesting sites along the way and gave us some interesting factoids and history that made the whole trip that much more enjoyable. I booked 3 rafts for my family and friends. Hands down the best experience we've had together, ever! Each guide was unique and very knowledgeable of not only the rapids, but the history and background of the area. There are definitely some physically demanding areas that will keep you on your toes. But also many stretches where you can just look up and enjoy being in nature. The AU operation from check-in to check-out is top notch. For a first time visitor, I cannot remember another business that had their ducks in a row 100% of the time. I felt like a kid doing adult things and laughing the entire way through it. Put aside a good 3-5 hrs of your day to experience the whole gamut. If you are anywhere close to AU, don't hesitate at all. Book a trip for you and friends or family. I went White Water Rafting yesterday, August 25 and it was such a great experience! Class 4 rapids are the best! It was my first time ever and I am looking forward to going back...but with higher class rapids! We purchased a disc of pictures and The moments captured are perfect! I believe I had the best guide in PAYTH. He made sure that we hit every rapid safely yet with great force to give us a very positive, memorable and adventurous experience! He was very thorough in explaining the safety precautions as well as how to maneuver the raft via rafting commands. He told several jokes when the water was calm and, except for one, they were worthy of small laughter. He kept us very involved and focused. I strongly recommend PAYTH as anyone's guide. He was an absolute pleasure and worth the $20 tip we gave. read more

Went down the upper and middle section of the Ocoee today with my coworkers and had an absolute BLAST thanks to Adventures Unlimited and our awesome guide Leon! He really did a phenomenal job leading and guiding our team safely down the river. We had fun catching each of the class 3 and 4 rapids, riding the bull, and surfing. This guy knows the river and cares about the safety of the teams. He worked hard to give us a fun experience while clearly communicating instructions so there were no mishaps or moments of sheer terror. I was pretty nervous about the Olympic upper section, as I had only previously done the middle section. While I was nervous, Leon made me quickly feel safe and helped me overcome my fears with his thorough instruction and knowledge. 5 stars for AU and 5 stars for Leon the Viking! read more

The good folks at Adventures Unlimited run a first class operation. Everyone was kind and courteous from the moment we set foot on the property and until our last bite of pizza and beer after a glorious day rafting on the Ocoee River with our incredible guide, Josh Lemon. Julie and her team were so organized and just made the whole process from start to finish such a wonderful adventure. I was especially impressed with the property and how wonderful it was to come off of the river to sit down with friends over food to look at pictures from the day that were taken while we were on the river at the BUS. A fun atmosphere from the minute we stepped on the property and a great experience from the very beginning. We are already planning our next trip back!! read more

Adventures Unlimited is amazing. From the many calls with Jules to get everything booked to our rafting guide Eric, everyone was top notch!!! We rented 3 bungalows for two nights and went on a white water rafting trip with Eric. From the time we arrived until the day we left, everyone was friendly and accommodating. The burgers at the Bus cafe/bar were awesome. Shout out to Eric our rafting guide. He pointed out areas of interest and the names of each rapid as we approached them. He was funny and kept us laughing and relaxed (as much as possible on a white water rafting trip). He answered our endless questions and made our trip so awesome that we can't wait to book it again. We will be back to Adventures Unlimited and hope to bring more people next time. read more

I cannot say enough about this place. I went back in summer of 2015 and am sorry I did not review then. I went again on 7/16/17 with the same group of friends. We specifically requested Josh Lemon as our guide as we had him two years ago and he is absolutely fantastic. He is super knowledgeable about the river and each of the rapids. I honestly cannot recommend him enough. I always felt as safe as one can be doing class four rapids. Both times I went we did the full river tour which includes lunch. The lunches both times were excellent, no complaints. The facilities at AU are also great. Ample parking, even if it is on grass. Restrooms with showers on-site as well as lockers. Needless to say I will be back as often as I can make it. read more

We had an amazing experience! We brought a large group of high school girls from our church to go rafting. Many of the girls had never rafted before and were apprehensive. Every girl walked away excited and raving about what a fun experience it was. Our raft's guide, Josh Lemon was excellent. He was professional, experienced, and fun-loving. Throughout the trip he taught us about the history of the river and gave engaging instruction. He gave options to make the route more challenging or calmer based on what we wanted to do. He make the challenging parts accessible to our mainly inexperienced group. I felt totally safe and confident to take our teenagers. This Was my second trip to Adventures Unlimited in Ocoee Tennessee. I had the same guide Will on both trips. A year apart the first trip was a lot of fun and I had a great time. But my second trip with Will as our guide was fantastic. His gained experience on the river showed with a much more interesting and engauging trip for my group. Will definitely upped his showmanship as well as his skills on the water and the interactions with the customers in addition to the quality of his skills as a pilot. He showed us much improved experience thru his ability to surf the rapids and cut across the rapids and use lines and that are not routine. I had a excellent time and would definitely Recommend Will as your guide or pilot on your trip. read more

I have had white water rafting on my bucket list forever. We finally decided to take the kids and do this! We booked our reservation for 9-22-18. Our guide was Josh C. He had us laughing before we even got our gear. The whole process was easy. I felt extremely confident in Josh's skill level and he made the entire adventure one of the best times I've ever had! I would certainly recommend AU if you decide to go white water rafting. Professional, courteous, and loads of fun! We spent 2 nights on the campgrounds as well. The shower house was clean and never over crowded. Great campsites, and the food at The Bus Bar was excellent! Just a pleasant experience all around! read more

We picked the only rainy and cold weekend since April and still had a great time on the full Ocoee. Brandon was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide and very skilled handling the raft through all the rapids. No swimmers this trip! Even through the rain the scenery was beautiful. The lunch served was tacos, not the usual ham and/or turkey sandwich plus it was warm and deeply appreciated along with the tent over the picnic tables to keep us dry and a bit warmer as we ate. I have used AU before and have no problem recommending them to anyone looking for a good time on the river. Special shout out to Brandon for letting me borrow his extra paddle jacket :) read more

my family and i had the PERFECT day here. i could not stop smiling the entire time. daniel, our guide, was the best we ever could have gotten. he was SO funny and made us all feel very safe even when some of were scared. he remembered details about our lives that we told him, and even shared a little about himself too. it was clear that he was very experienced and skilled, and cared about our experience as well, which was incredible. he took us surfing, had a few of us go up and "ride the bull", and all his directions, jokes, and commands were clear, funny, and incredible. we tipped him so much and will TOTALLY request him next time. best day ever. :)) read more

Sara responded to emails with questions I had for a family of 7, and how to get us in the same boat, and offered places to stay. When we booked she continued with excellent service. our guide was Safely Rick! loved him! We put in the work to make sure we could have all the fun.
