To my complete disappointment, "Resort View" means looking over their parking lot or the neighboring apartments and parking (my view). There are no mountain views or lake views from this option. Obviously she had no idea what she was talking about - but it was absolutely NOT a mountain view, and you definitely didn't want to "sit on the balcony to sip a glass of wine" as the resort suggests! There were only cobwebs and dirty chairs! The only good thing about the resort was the Oaks Restaurant, and Adirondack chairs to sit by the lake. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my money. This was a horrible experience…read more I booked Blue Creek through Airbnb on January 29th. They approved my application same day. On Airbnb I stated that I was a student booking for a senior trip and there would be two chaperones. I did not see a minimum age booking requirement on Airbnb when booking so I booked. When I booked on Airbnb they asked for my id and I sent that in as I booked. Again, they approved same day. My trip was booked for March 13th-March 17th. On March 5th I got an email from Airbnb that they cancelled my reservation. No email from them as to why. I then called there office. The lady on the phone told me I had to be 29 years old to book. She then asked if I had any 29 years olds staying with us, because this was a school sponsored trip we did. She told me I could have one of them book it and it would be a problem. I had to them have one of the chaperones book on their website, because Airbnb blocked them from booking another person that weekend because they cancelled us so close to our date. We booked a different cabin on their website that we thought was nicer. Our chaperone booked this cabin on March 5th. On March 7th we got an email that our reservation was canceled and if we tried to book again they would contact the authorities. I was severely thrown off and confused as to what the issue was. I called them and no one answered. I left a voicemail telling them I was confused as to what happened and asking them to call me back. I then got a text message that was very passive aggressive and unprofessional. They also charged us a $100 cancellation fee when they cancelled on us! I then called them today March 10th, and spoke with the property manager, asking what happened and asking for the fee back. The guy on the phone was rude and unprofessional. He told us that the majority of people staying in the cabin needed to be over 29. (No where on their website does it say that). He then said he didn't want kids "throwing parties" at his multi million dollar properties. No parties were going to be thrown. It was a school sponsored trip with chaperones staying in the house with us. He did not care what we had to say and was very rude and unprofessional. Overall, this experience was horrible. The customer service was horrendous and their way of handling things was disgusting. We ended up getting our cancellation fee back as well as full refunds. Do not book this company they do not care!!

We decided this property would fit the bill because of it's incredible mountain views and reviews on TripAdvisor, bed&breakfast.com, and Travelocity. We were greeted warmly by the owner of the property who kindly showed us our room which was basically in the basement of her home. The room had that incredibly musty, old, moth ball smell like when you visit a bad antique store. Bed and accommodations were dated including mattress, bathroom, coffee maker, and microwave. Pretty much like visiting your stereotypical grandmothers cottage. Breakfast was decent but overall average quality which included grits, frittata, fruit salad, and cheese biscuits. The real nightmare when we had an emergency and needed to go back home. After speaking with the owner before 11 in the morning she refused to give us a refund for the following day because we did not give her "enough time" to cancel. After returning home I checked my credit card statement and was appalled that she charged over $500 for that ONE night. There was no cancellation policy on her website, never returned my VM's, and felt like she simply overcharged us out of some grudge. All in all this felt like a scam and would heed caution for all her "incredible" reviews. I've stayed at many fine b&b's and was appalled at this blatant disregard of sympathy, hospitality,and customer service.

This is mostly a hikers motel. As expected met other hikers, having long conversation sharing our expertise. Sitting on chair under the porch was very relaxing. The table under the canopy helped a lot celebrating our end of hike, pigging out salad, pizza and of course beer. The motel is close to resupply and restaurants. The laundry room had couple of washers and dryers to washup with just $2 for each and they provide the detergent. I think we will go back to this motel next year annual pilgrimage to AT to finish another section
