I had a very disappointing experience with Advantage Towing. I waited nearly 3 hours after being told a tow truck was on the way. At the last minute, they canceled my service without any explanation. I tried calling multiple times to find out why my service was canceled, but no one answered or returned my calls. Because of the delay and lack of communication, the repair shop I was supposed to have my vehicle delivered to had already closed, wasting my entire day. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If they couldn't provide the service, they should have informed me much earlier instead of making me wait for hours. I would not recommend this company based on my experience read more

scam. charged me, then cancelled and is charging insurance, but my refund has not been issued. nonresponsive to insurance, caused a 2day delay in getting vehicle to the shop. talks 1000miles a minute, talks over us to confuse us into agreeing to his service, insurance now states he has a known strategy of being difficult to get more money out of insurance. save yourself. scam, fraud, reported to chicago for noncompliant use of business license. read more

Advantage Towing - There is the time and phone number they never showed or answered - Towing Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Horrible service. Told my partner they would be there to pick up his car after he had gotten into an accident at 12:15. It is not 1:25 and they are avoiding picking up the phone. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! We needed a tow and called Allstate Roadside Assistance and they dispatched Advantage Towing and the estimated time was 7:24PM to 7:54PM. We were provided a link to follow the ETA and as the time almost reached the higher range of the ETA the time kept changing higher. I tried calling their phone number but all that came out was a message saying they are busy and to call back later. Called back Allstate Roadside Assistance after the ETA changed to 9:30PM and they also could not get through by calling them. They ended up cancelling the tow and scheduled another company. The other company came out in a prompt manner and the driver even called me to let me know he was on the way. What a waste of time with Advantage Towing! Do not use them unless you enjoy having your time wasted waiting for a tow. read more

We were assigned Advantage Towing through Allstate's roadside assistance and the person on the phone tried to extort us out of $75 to have someone get there faster (their flatbed truck which is more expensive *just happened* to be 30 minutes away, vs. 2 hours for the smaller truck). When we said we'd rather wait than pay, they cancelled on us. read more

There should be an option for 0 stars. I don't believe this company is even in business anymore. They don't show up, lie about showing up, and leaves the people who call stranded. Once you call back it goes to an unprofessional mailbox. I suggest others to place a complaint with the BBB. read more

Never showed up. More than and hour and a half late, no call, nothing. They were assigned to me via Pep Boys. If you See them on your service request, save yourself time and ask that they cancel and dispatch a different tow company up front to save yourself the wasted time. read more

Called to have flat tire changed. Had some trouble communicating with initial call to AAA but once Advantage called , Timmy was there quickly-I think within 20 min. Very friendly, changed the tire in minutes. I hope the next time I need car help he's the guy they send. Excellent service. read more

Was told the tow truck would arrive at 12:00 pm NO ONE EVER CAME MY CALLS WENT UNANSWERED CALLED A TOTAL OF 15x had my son call , dad called no answer! They were the absolute worst they better hope no one ever mentions Advantage Tow around me because I will definitely let people know they are unprofessional they just need to be canceled!!!!!!!!! read more

I would give them -0 star if possible my insurance company Allstate sent them to pick my car up yesterday. They gave me a 2 hour pickup time. After 3 hours I called and was assured they were in route 60 min tops an hour later no arrival stopped taking my call then canceled after a 5 hour wait. What garbage! read more

I would give them no stars. The worst!! My roadside dispatched them. They were late so I called. They stated they were just running behind. They assured me they were in route. They never arrived and when I called back they sent me to voicemail. They NEVER CAME! read more

Unprofessional and wasted my time...do not use this company. Save yourself the headache...read all the reviews online not on their site.

9:30 am -- "We'll be there in an hour." 10:30 am -- "We'll be there in 15 minutes." 11:30 am -- "We'll be there in 5 minutes." 12:00 pm -- "We're two blocks away, on your street, we'll be there in 5 minutes." I cancelled the call at 12:30 pm. They showed up at 12:45 pm anyway, after I left. Screw you, Eddie from Prime Advantage. Couldn't have asked for better service! I was on the side of 94 with a flat tire during rush hour traffic, and help was there within 30 minutes. The driver brought me and my car to the dealership to get serviced. Great conversation which made me forget the situation I was in read more

Zero stars! Waiting over 2 hours for my vehicle to be towed (quoted 45 minutes). First came with a truck that could not remove my car from a city alley (you'd think they would be prepared for that as I told roadside assistance it was in a parking spot in an alley). I have called them multiple times to see if a new truck had been dispatched (they do not even have a professional voice mail, only says please leave a message, not even their business name) with no answer. Cancelling this tow- do better Advantage Towing! Side note: Eddie who showed up with the first truck was very kind- find a better place to work Eddie. Update: roadside assistance dispatched Advantage Towing again... Joe made it around 4pm (tow was first due to happen at 11:45am). Joe is great. But this company still needs to address how they communicate to their customers. read more

While I was at work my pregnant girlfriends car wouldn't start. She called AAA and they dispatched Advantage Towing. The service was supposed to be covered by AAA but 10 minutes prior to the tow trucks arrival they call and tell my gf its a $150 charge to get vehicle out of garage. Literally took 2mins to put in neutral and push out. Long story short they towed car to shop...and come to find out, jump started car at shop to get off tow truck smh (got this info from shop) ...why didnt they jump start in our garage??? Anywho...have tried calling them multiple times for refund of $150 and no answer. Left multiple vms...no reply. Stay far away from these guys. read more

Like many reviews on here, Prime Advantage Towing was contacted through an insurance company's roadside assistance. When Prime Advantage Towing was scheduled to arrive, Prime Advantage Towing canceled their ticket and left a parent and their child stranded. If you need a tow or roadside assistance and this is who the insurance company is sending, contact the insurance company and have them send someone else because the insurance company, according to mine and other reviews, will need to send someone else anyway. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! I had to use this towing company because of my insurance company but this service was absolutely atrocious. They speak to their customers with no respect. They threatened to just abandon my car just because I had a question regarding the equipment they were using. read more

BP Motorclub hooked it up. They called me and tried to extort $100 from me in cash upon pickup or they wouldn't tow it. I told them my service was covered through the motor club. Advantage Tow on Mozart in Chicago gets the most stars from me. Their quick tow by Eddie, a great tow truck driver, was faster and better than I've ever gotten from any tow company. I highly recommend them. They were there in 30 minutes, quickly loaded my car, and delivered to my mechanic. The 1st tow co Allstate called said two hours. I insisted on a different co. And fortunately got Advantage and their wonderful driver, Eddie, in only 30 minutes. Extremely happy with the quick service. Mrs. Cicero read more

Husband waiting over 4.5 hours in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago for this piece of shit company to show up. Their phone rings and rings then goes to a voice mail with no greeting. Thanks for nothing, you dirty rotten dicklickers. read more

If I could give 1 star I would. I got them through Allstate motor club and they never came and all the sudden wouldn't answer their phone. Seriously they fucked me over I'm so pissed. I was stranded in the city and they just never came. Don't use them. Not worth the risk! read more

Waited 2 plus hours , still ended up having to contact another tow service because their sorry asses NEVER SHOWED up! I hope ALLSTATE drops them from their rotation!!!! read more

I initiated the request for a tow with this company via Buick Roadside assistance beginning at approximately 1:09pm, and was given an estimated arrival time between 2:36pm-2:54pm. I received periodic text messages with information that they are running on time, so I clocked out of work early and sat in my car at 2:45pm. At approximately 3:00pm Roadside assistance phoned me to see if the tow had happened or was in progress, I informed customer service that neither had/is happening. I was then put on a brief hold while Advantage towing Inc was being notified for an update. Roadside service returned to the phone and stated that they would be at my location within 20-30 minutes. After waiting for approximately 37 minutes, I attempted to call Advantage towing Inc, to check the status, to no avail. I made a few more attempts, no answer. Finally I phoned Roadside assistance to see what the status was , they put me on hold and attempted to call Advantage Towing Inc 5xs and no answer. At approximately 4:14pm, Roadside assistance initiated service with another towing company, with an estimated time of arrival of about an hour, and made a complaint against Advantage Towing company. This company should never be affiliated with any Roadside agency, because when you need emergency assistance, you're already frustrated and this company really adds to your frustration......stay away from ADVANTAGE TOWING INC, when you need urgent service.....SHAME on this company with piss poor service!!!! read more

I have towing through Allstate Motor Club. My trans was leaking badly on my driveway & I knew it shouldn't be driven. I have a Buick Riviera which is best with a flatbed tow. I called Allstate roadside services on Friday morning. Joe at Prime Advantage got the call, and he arrived himself within the expected time frame. He discussed the car problem with me, then got it onto the flatbed. He could not have been nicer, and he treated me like I was his favorite relative. Joe's niceness is what put this experience a cut above. He also seemed really to know automobiles. Completely nice and respectful, and on time. read more

Waited 3 hours for truck to show up. Yes, they will charge you extra regardless of your tow coverage. I called my Liberty Mutual roadside assistance and got Prime Advantage Towing in the draw. My coverage is up to $200, and when they got here they said they needed $50 in cash. I called my roadside and they contacted the company and were told it was for a dolly since my car was lowered. I have an Audi A4 with a rally setup and no front skirt so higher than most cars. In addition the driver had no dolly with him. I had contacted them before after seeing reviews and they just added on some fees to that quote so driver could have some extra cash. I cancelled them and if at all possible you should too. Don't let them scam you when your vulnerable. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Took them over two hours to get to me when I was quoted forty minutes. When they arrived they told me that the motor club card that referred me to them could not be accepted. They then quoted me one price for towing and billed my card for $100 more than quoted. They are unresponsive to my calls and when they do answer they give me the run around. If you are a woman they will take advantage of you and over charge you. read more

This company has a contract with AAA, but when they show up to tow your car, they overcharge for the tow and say they will not tow the car without payment. They charged three times the rate we were quoted by AAA. My sister was stranded and they took advantage of her. Reported them to AAA, and I am doing everything in my power to get them to lose their contract. The driver says he gets this all the time, but they had to be in cahoots, otherwise, why did he call? What an opportunistic jerk. Call ANYONE else, and let's put this guy out of business. read more

Sorry everybody seems to have had problems with this company, but they were great for me. Called my BP Motor Club for a tow, who connected me with Prime. Joe said they'd be there in an hour and the driver would call when he was close. Exactly one hour later, the driver called and was there a minute later. Moese, the driver, was very nice and helpful. He helped my boyfriend push the car into position a few times since I had no brakes. The whole episode took about an hour from when he arrived to when he left. It was a very good experience. read more

Not sure why this has such bad reviews, but if this company provided bad service in the past they have definitely stepped up their game!! Got a flat and my insurance provider called them around 8 and they arrived within the hour. Most friendly driver and great customer service over the phone. Definitely recommend! read more

I actually would not give one start, but zero was not an option. After 6 hours of getting them to jump my car and get it on a flatbed, I find out the next day it was not at the dealer. It finally arrived at 2:30pm. They told me the truck broke down, for the second time, and they could not make it to the dealer the night prior. This was never communicated this to anyone, hence nobody had any idea where the car was. I did not choose them, as they were the contractor for roadside assistance. I have requested they be removed, so other customers do not have to endure the pain of dealing with them. Do not use them, even in desperation. read more

This business is awful. Booked through BP motor club. Estimated time of 90 minutes at 8:50am. 10:30 call and no answer. 11 call and no answer.
