All of a sudden I receive a generic letter that states in network patients will only be seen if they pay a $390 "membership fee" on top of whatever co/pays one has. It was also noted that out of network patients don't apply to this rule. Out of network doesn't apply because they have to pay the full amount of their visit to Diagnostic Imaging. This letter was very easy to read between the lines what this facility wants.

She said there might be an 11 and another receptionist chimed in and said if she doesn't come between 10.45 and 11 you can have that appointment. I waited and went to the desk, it was 11.02 and someone walked in and checked in. I asked if I can still have the 11, she said that the appointment came and I can't. I asked why her previous statement did not apply and she remarked I didn't even have an appointment. Overall this was a very unnerving and unprofessional experience. If someone in their office makes an error they should own up to it instead of deflecting accountability. Hopefully Illinois Masonic will yield better experiences in the future.

The waiting area is very clean and neat with a nice entertaining TV. Having a clean clinic is one of the most important things to me. The staff assured me that I would be seen in a timely manner, and they were right. Before I knew it, my name was called to see the doctor. The doctor I saw was very intelligent and knowledgeable. He answered my questions thoroughly and wrote me my prescriptions. One of the best doctors I've ever experienced. The doctor walked me step by step what I needed. I also got a referral quickly and easily. They are able to transfer my records to wherever I needed them without issue. All in all, Hermosa Medical Center was a great experience and I highly recommend anyone to go for their medical needs.

On the the day of the test, Ariely was also very helpful and courteous at registration. The facility has an open MRI and it was very comfortable. The machine is not as loud and/or enclosed as the one I had at a local hospital. The MRI Technician - Jerry - was absolutely outstanding! His patient care skills is top-notched! I'm from a medical family; and Jerry makes you feel at ease immediately. Furthermore, he clarified my initial questions regarding the imaging order details, both from my PCP and ENT, respectively.
