It was a gift and means a lot to me, so I was nervous about trusting it to someone else. They did a fantastic job. I later brought in a couple of additional knives. Rather than automatically sharpening my chef's knife, the technician explained that it was still sharp enough and that removing more metal was unnecessary. He identified a burr that was making it feel duller than it actually was, removed it at no charge, and sharpened my other knife. That honesty and care made me feel very comfortable. This is now my go-to place for knife sharpening.

Even though I only know how to make omelettes but ahem, I do cut vegetables, avocado, chicken, and steak. So Zwilling has been making knives since the 1700s, they're like the Porsche of German steel. We were immediately attracted to the 20 piece Pro which is made in Soligen, Germany. We wanted a natural block but they was outta stock (hey that rhymes), I'm about to bust it!! So we went with the darker block. Ahem, the knives are incredibly sharp and the set looks very well made. I'm very pleased and thus far, I've cut avocado, broccoli and chicken breast, and hot dogs (from Omaha steaks - but that's a different review) using an assortment of knives - dang, be careful!! Five (5) stars to David, he was exceptional in servicing us despite the number of people in the store, he answered a multitude of our questions like he was being paid by the question. Kat's "aura" on the other end of the line (Positive, Optimistic, Genuine) transformed a mundane chore (picking up resharpened knives) into what felt like a surprise birthday gift. I can feel she was genuinely happy for me - she probably knows what it feels like to use & own Cutco knives. A few weeks later I came back with my knife. They decided to send it to the factory in NYC. I didn't have to pay for the shipping if I pick it up from the store again when it is ready. I have been getting uodates via email about the progress. When it arrived at the Cutco site it was only a few days after when I received email update stating it's being sent back. I'm thrilled that this shop has the sheaths. They weren't available when I got my knives back in 2010. Love that sheaths prizes are affordable. I've been fully satisfied with my Cutco knives: 7" santoku, cheese, serated slicer and cleaver. Had them for more than 16 years. The staff here have been helpful and friendly.
