Tree service companies are everywhere - home improvement magazines, flyers, and even some soliciting door-to-door. So how do you pick which company to go with?! I tried to get recommendations from friends and family but these companies either didn't reach out or were wishy washy and never followed up. We did have one company come out that we used before and gave a free quote but wanted a second opinion to price comparison. Thankfully we found Advanced Tree Solutions! Jess came out the next day from when I reached out and a few days later his crew were ready to go. Jess was awesome and transparent. He took his time going through the quote of trimming our trees and also explained each tree species. I was honest with Jess and let him know what the other company quoted me. Jess wanted our business, so he gave a lower quote. I was sold! The crew came and I was impressed with the amount of staff. We had a pretty big job, so it was great that the crew were ready to go. Some trees were in the back of our house which isn't easy to get to and and another tree was by the power lines. We had about 5 big trees that needed to be trimmed and elevated, cutting up fallen limbs, wood chipping, and cleaning up. Everything was done as Jess explained at the quote. You could barely tell that they were here because they cleaned up so well. My only complaint was I wish Jess came out with the crew to go over what the job was. The crew were asking us what they were doing and I thought they either would have known the job or that Jess would be there to go over the job and then leave. Besides this, I was really impressed with the service and so happy that our trees have been trimmed back. I will definitely use Advanced Tree Solutions for next time we need tree help. Jess cut down a tree in our neighbor's yard. His crew thought it would be easier to remove the tree if they drove their large truck and chipper trailer through the adjacent subdivision park which abuts the yard. In doing so they buried their truck up to the axle in mud. They towed the truck out but left the subdivision hanging with over 4K in damages. Huge ruts that stretch for over 100 feet. Association is taking them to court. Be warned. read more

We recently hired Advanced Tree Solutions to remove a few sick trees and grind two stumps. Scott showed up quickly and gave us a fair, no-nonsense quote. Jess and his crew were in my street servicing a couple of my neighbors and stopped by to see if I wanted any work done. It was unexpected but sorely needed. He walked my property and we discussed every tree and shrub and what might need to be done to each. I never felt pressured, and I completely trusted his guidance. The work was done that day for a very fair price, and my yard was completely transformed. I hadn't been planning on having that work done, but it was a great investment in my property and I am very pleased with the results. Competitive, diligent, and quick to solve our fallen tree problem. All staff were pleasant, courteous and ambitious.

I had some trees that had grown from my neighbor's yard over my fence and around the power lines in my back yard over the years. DTE would not clear them so, with the approval of my neighbor, I called Advance Tree Services for a free estimate since I had a Valpak coupon. Free estimate: When I called Advanced Tree Service, Jess (the company owner) was able to stop by my house in person to do the estimate within a couple hours. which I thought was great. During the estimate, he said: 1. The power lines would be completely cleared off. He did not tell me until after his men did the work that they do not touch the tree branches near the top wires of telephone poles which are high voltage. 2. He would throw in a trim on the nearby maple tree at no extra charge. 3. He would have his crew come out to start the job within a week. They were able to come out within six days. 4. Paying by credit card is fine. He did not tell me that that there would be an additional fee for using a credit card until his men began working and he was standing at my door to collect payment. Fortunately, I had cash on hand to pay with. His men did mostly a very good job of clearing the branches off of most of the wires and made sure that there was very little debris left behind for me to clean up. They were also able to get the job done in about an hour without damaging anything or causing a power outage which was awesome. If you attempt to communicate with his men though, you should know that they do not understand English very well but if something you see needs more attention, just point to it and they will work on it. read more

Jess and the team does great work. We recently moved into our home, and had a couple trees leaning towards the home and another with roots too close to the foundation we wanted removed. I called Jess Sunday around 5pm, he came over Monday morning for a quote, and the jobs was done in a couple hours. His crew was fast and seemed very experienced. Very kind too. I was impressed with how quick and smooth the job was done, from initial call to final stump grinding. Priced well. They also took care of some invasive bushes, trimmed hedges, and trimmed some tree branches. Highly recommended. read more

They did a great job for a very fair price! They cleaned up well too. I wish I would have removed my lawn ornaments before they started bc they accidentally broke my bird feeder. We agreed to have 2 trees removed and two trimmed. The discussion for the river birch was to " trim it away from the house", and I was shocked to see what was being cut off. I yelled for them to stop, and I called the owner. He said that is how they do it, to trim and "elevate" the tree. The word " elevate" was never mentioned and it isn't what we wanted. They had chopped off one side snd we had no choice but to have the other side evened out. We liked the lower branches and they provided privacy. Now they're gone and we are very disappointed. We are thinking of having it removed and getting a new tree, but it will be many years brfore it would grow to that size. read more

My husband, and I needed trees trimmed around our house, four chopped down and several stumps removed. We were determined to find a tree service company, able to handle a large job with the best rating in the Tri-county area. After interviewing several tree tradesmen with similar estimates, we decided to call Advanced Tree Solutions. The deciding factor was based on competitive pricing, Jess's kindness, enthusiasm, and availability. Moreover, Jess made recommendations of which trees needed attention, reassurances to get the job done to our satisfaction in a timely manner, and kindly, mentioned that his father, Dan would contact us on another day to remove and grind the stumps. (No problem! We figured, the stumps aren't going anywhere. Lol) On the scheduled day, Jess called ahead, showed at the expected time with a large crew of workers, reviewed the plan, and his crew went straight to work. Surprisingly, the dedicated workers finished the job in a few hours, cleaned and removed all the debris. Before they left, foreman, Chris walked me through the entire yard, and at my request, had the guys trim down a few minor areas that I thought needed symmetry. Needless to say, we couldn't be more pleased with a job well done! A few days later, Jess's father, Dan contacted us, to set up an appointment to remove the stumps, and showed up as scheduled. Dan expertly removed the stumps with his assistant and once again, we were pleased with the results. I contacted Jess and he came and gave us an estimate that seemed quite reasonable for the amount of work to be done pruning trees and generally cleaning up some scrub growth in our lot. The crew got here when they were scheduled and got right to work taking care of the pruning. They were quick and thorough, and did an excellent job cleaning up the trash and mess of the job.
