*Warning!! Do NOT use this doctor!!* Sorry for the long review, but if you are considering taking your child to see this doctor, it's worth the read. We were referred to Dr Alhadheri from our pediatrician when my son was a baby for a heart murmur. (My son is now 9) They did all of the tests and said that his heart murmur was "benign" but that we would monitor it. So, we took him back every year, then two years later and then we were told to come back after 3 years to monitor it, unless my son complained of any issues. Well about 6 months before his 3-year appointment, I was lying my head on my son's chest and noticed how fast his heartbeat was. I commented on it but was reminded by my husband that kid's heartbeats are faster than adults. (I guess I forgot this over time.) However, my son said sometimes it beats "really fast". So, I decided to take him in to get him checked out. They did all the tests and then Dr Alhadheri came in the room and explained to me all the "problems" he was seeing with my son's heart. He put him on heart monitor for 10 days and Atenolol (a beta blocker) and said for him to take it for 3 months "and then we would retest". During the course of those 3 months, we saw a gradual change of my son's moods. He became depressed and talked about dying and killing himself. Stupidly, I didn't immediately associate it with the medicine. (It became more noticeable towards the end of the 3 months.) When we had our follow up with the doctor, I brought it up. He said there was "no way" the medicine could be responsible for that. He also questioned why we stopped him on the medication, to which I told him he told us to do it for 3 months and then retest. He never mentioned staying on it while we retested. I decided to do my own research after this appointment because something didn't feel right. I found that this medication (and all beta blockers) ABSOLUTELY cause mental issues. You are also never supposed to abruptly stop them. I decided to take him to another cardiologist for a second opinion. The new doctor I took him to proceeded to tell me that there is ABSOLUTEL NOTHING WRONG WITH MY SONS HEART. He couldn't believe this doctor ever even saw my son again after the initial appointment. Not only that, but he also put him on a drug he did not need. We had Dr Alhadheri's records sent over to the new doc and he said he went through them and even Dr Alhadheri's notes say that everything is within normal range!!! Yet he put my son on a medication that slowed his heart. The new doctor (who might I add is associated with Banner and not an independent doctor like Dr Alhadheri, with no other doctors to hold him accountable) also said that this is not the first patient he's seen of Dr Alhadheri who was unnecessarily put on a beta blocker. Now I've had time to think about what we have spent on this doctor over the years. The appointments, the heart monitor my son had to wear twice (that thing was literal torture for my son). Then let's talk about the cost of the counselor we took him to. A few years ago, we were trying to get on a really good health insurance but needed a note from Dr Alhadheri stating that my son's heart murmur is not an issue. He refused to do this for us. We were ultimately we rejected from that insurance and had to go on a more expensive plan with worse coverage. I told our new Cardiologist this and he couldn't believe Dr Alhadheri wouldn't do that for us and that he ever even saw my son again after the initial visit. He said my son's heart is perfect and if he ever has a real heart condition, it will have nothing to do with this benign murmur. On top of the financial burden of all of this, there's the emotional. The stress we were under thinking my son had a heart problem was immense. My young son talking about killing himself because he was put on a medication he didn't need was devastating. Moral of my story, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! If you are one of his patients, I would urge you to get a second opinion. read more

I still remember coming into his office in a post birth newborn daze. 6 years ago, my sons pediatrician heard something wrong with his heart on his first visit out of the hospital after birth and rushed us over to Dr. Alhadheri's office. Dr. Alhadheri was kind, gentle, reassuring, and a voice this mama needed to hear. In the middle of confusion he was my guiding light. Sleepless hours. Lots of stress. Pumping, mixing. Trying to ensure he doesn't "fail to thrive." Check up after check up Dr. Alhadheri lifted my efforts up and complimented how well I was doing as a Mom. Hearing that from a medicinal professional is one of the best things a Mama of a heart baby can hear. His "bedside manner" is nothing I have experienced with any other medical doctor. Fast forward 6 years, two out of state moves and another one back to Arizona, I couldn't wait to have my sons next cardiologist appointment back at Dr. Alhadheri's office. Still same sweet, caring doctor. Although my sons PDA, ASD & VSD are all closed now (hallelujah!) I am pretty sad I won't be seeing this doc for another 3 years! We will miss you so! As other reviewers have stated office staff can be hit or miss. I know the doctor takes care of his employees but everyone is human and makes their own choice on how to present themselves. If you ever do have a concern with the staff, please let the doctor know. He's kind and understanding and will handle appropriately, I'm sure of that. Dr Alhadheri came highly recommended by my daughters pediatrician, a nurse coworker and a neighbor. When making the initial call to make the appointment the gal that helped me was kind, patient, and was able to schedule us a new patient appointment within 2 weeks. i was very pleased with this as I have heard horror stories of taking months. I completed a thorough online questionnaire about my daughters health history, her insurance, and other providers. It was easy to navigate and I appreciate the modern technology. They were able to obtain her records from all the other providers that we had seen. The office is kid friendly and the entire staff is so very nice and kind. They were helpful and we were able to have an ECHO and EKG done at our first visit, which I appreciate as I wanted some answers today and didnt want to drive all over town. Doctor has a great bedside manner, is kind, very intelligent, and patient thoroughly explaining what he sees and prognosis. He addressed my 15yo daughter and answered her questions as well as mine. He was never rushed. He did run behind in office time, however after seeing how much time and attention he gave us, I didn't mind waiting. We are blessed to finally have a diagnosis, a positive prognosis, and a great experience. Office girls completed school paperwork the same day. This staff is the worst! The doctor is good, but you constantly have to wait a minimum of one hour past your appointment time, usually more. Last appointment I questioned why the MA wasn't waiting the appropriate amount of time between blood pressure readings (as a cardiac nurse I knew she was doing it wrong) to which she replied "well as long as the patient isn't having symptoms the doctor says it's okay to do it like this". So a doctor thinks it's only necessary to take BP correctly on patients that are symptomatic? It's a cardiac office, shouldn't every BP be done correctly? The staff is rude and doesn't follow through on anything. Bottom line is if you like waiting hours in an office, dealing with rude and highly ineffective and incompetent staff, don't like follow through from your provider, and love spending your time making endless phone calls to try and get anyone to give you an answer, than this is definitely the practice for you. Me? I have much better thinks to do with my time. The doctor really is good, but no doctor is worth dealing with his staff. read more

My son is now 18 and has seen Dr. Alhadheri for about 4 years now. My son is a complex case and I've lost count of how many doctors we've seen over the last 5 years. He is finally about 80% better. We finally found some amazing dr's willing to try to help - Dr. A is one of our angels. He's caring and kind and truly wanted to help - he also took the time to explain my sons heart imaging to him. I'm so thankful we found this amazing dr who not only understood my sons condition but was willing to learn more to try to help him. I'm also thankful that he's able to continue to monitor him even after he turned 18. My son also gives him the thumbs up, which is hard to get from my son. He's become quite jaded about the medical profession after the way he's been treated by many doctors and hospitals over the years. I truly believe my son would still be bed bound if it wasn't for Dr. A. While not the norm, there have been a few times we've had to wait a bit at appts. Honestly I'd rather wait a bit for a great dr than have no wait to see a crappy dr who is of no help and then rushes you out the door. Dr. A takes his time with each patient. He may run late on occasion, but good care is worth waiting for. read more

What an experience. Let me start by saying I would give the DOCTOR FOUR STARS but his STAFF ZERO STARS Overall I am giving them a score of three. First were told they are on East Chandler Blvd. So when we got to a dirt lot according to the GPS at 355 for our 4pm appointment I called them only to be told they are on West Chandler. I explained I confirmed twice what their address and was told that I had until 415 to arrive before I was considered a no show. Again I explained your office told me the wrong address. So after some back and forth they told me they would wait for us. We arrived at 410pm. Checked in and was told the doctor was running behind. I asked how long they said he is normally an hour behind. Again I ask how long and was told 90 minutes. Of course at this point I'm already here after driving almost an hour. So we decided to stick it out because two parents in the lobby tell us the doctor is worth the wait and I wasn't going to pay the $75 no show fee even though we showed up. I start talking with one of the moms only to find out both our kids have 4pm appointments. Yep they double booked him. So his other 4pm is called back at 515, followed by us at 530pm. We can hear the other 4 o'clock appointment leave at 535 and think thank goodness were next. Nope he saw 2 other patients first. At 6pm the ultra sound tec comes in to take us to another room to take pictures of my daughters heart. After she finished up the doctor came in at 630pm spent 30minuets with us going over everything and we're finally out the door at 7pm. We spent 3hours at the doctors. read more

Due to getting COVID my son, who plays football had to be cleared through a cardiologist to play. In our initial visit, Dr. Alhadheri said he wanted to do a 7-day monitoring of his heart to track his resting heart activity vs. his active heart activity. Additionally, he said they'd do a stress test in their office after the 7 day monitoring was done. He put the monitoring device on on a Sunday afternoon. He played video games that day and slept. The next day he had football practice at 2 pm, within 5 minutes of activity the monitoring device came off because of his sweat. I immediately called Preventice Services (the monitoring company affiliated with APC) and I called APC and told them about the issue. PS told me to mail everything back to them since it didn't work. I asked if I would still be charged for this and they said no. The APC office also said they would note that there was an issue. Dr. Alhadheri was on vacation at the time, but they were able to contact him and he said that it wasn't a problem and that the in-office stress test would be sufficient. This was upsetting to hear, because if the in-office test was sufficient, why where we asked to do the additional test? A few weeks later I receive a bill in the mail from PS for $750! I called PS immediately and they said that there policy is that its a flat rate no matter how many days they monitored for. It didn't matter that they didn't get any "active heart rate" monitoring or that the total duration was only approx. 24 hours out of what was supposed to be a 7-day test. They were also extremely rude. I then called APC and they stated they had no control over what PC charged. The woman I talked with, before looking at the notes in my son's file, said "well it's your fault, you should've called an told us there was an issue when it happened". I had to ask her to look at the notes, after which, she said, "oh well you did call, but it doesn't change anything, we don't have control over what they charge" I was expecting them to at least advocate and request that the charge be waived for us, but that request was denied completely. Since then, I've paid the $750 bill and lets just say I'm extremely bitter about it. I will never use them again. Horrible experience and I get the feeling that the relationship between APC & PS is a racket and fraudulent. Lastly, APC you should look into the reviews on Google for Preventice Services,1717 N. Sam Houston Pkwy W, Houston, TX 77038 and see what other customers are saying about their services. 2.2 stars! You may want to re-evaluate the type of company you are subjecting your patients to. read more
