Dr. Fienberg and his staff have always been very professional and only do the work that is necessary. Two generations of my family, including myself and two daughters have been patients in his practice. I began seeing Dr Feinberg when he was still working out of his original office in Stratford with his father, who was also a great orthodontist. The orthodontic work that Dr. Feinberg completes is the most advanced and state of the art. He creates a personal plan for each individual patient outlining their course of treatment. The office is always extremely clean and is a very welcoming and comforting environment. Dr. Feinberg has created two beautiful smiles for my daughters and that has been the greatest gift. Thank you Dr Feinberg!

I had a terrible experience with Invisalign treatment leaving me with a very large overjet (akin to…read morebuck teeth). Aside from a bad cosmetic result, this left me unable to bite an apple, or a piece of pizza or a sandwich, etc. Everything just folds up under the front overjet. Salad tends to escape as you eat - very embarrassing. The dentist had also ground down a crown, leaving me with an upper tooth that needs to be raised with screws in my jaw, and a tendency to bite the inside of my cheek on that side. Dr. Feinberg is a great orthodontist. He is very professional, his staff is great, his office is modern and immaculate. He explains everything with a great deal of patience and professionalism. He has a lot of experience with Invisalign cases gone wrong ! He also has a wonderful reputation among his peers, which says a lot. I had gone for a second opinion on the advice of a friend who is also a Dentist and Dr. Bilous in Fairfield, another great orthodontist, assured me that his plan was exactly what was needed. She also see a lot of Invisalign cases gone wrong. The lesson is no one should be going to a dentist, even if they call themselves a cosmetic dentist, to have teeth moved. This should only be done by trained orthodontists.

I don't understand how an appointment can be canceled without notifying the patient. I have never missed an appointment, so I find this extremely frustrating and disrespectful. The way this was handled was very rude, and I never even received an apology. I expected much better communication and professionalism.

**DENTAL IMPLANTS FELL OUT WITHIN DAYS - Extremely Disappointed**…read more I had a terrible experience with New Haven Dental Group in Hamden. I had two dental implants placed last August, but they fell out within days. I reached out to the office immediately, only to be informed that the doctor was on vacation in Italy and that I would have to wait until his return. When I requested to see another doctor, I was told I would have to wait two weeks for the original doctor to come back. Despite making several requests to be seen sooner, I was repeatedly told that I had to wait. During this two-week period, I suffered without care, and it felt like my well-being didn't matter to them. I endured over two weeks of discomfort, including bleeding and aching gums. Eventually, after escalating my concerns to their parent company, 42 North Dental, I received a refund four months later.

Today was my second appointment at Cherry Tree Dental, with Dr. K. and Kathleen, her assistant. I could not believe the great experience----who says that about getting a cavity filled? This was the first time in my life that I did not feel the novocaine injection. NOT ONE BIT OF PAIN!! It was a difficult filling, but the entire time I was in the chair, both Dr. K. and Kathleen kept checking that I was comfortable. Any time I reacted in the slightest way, they both stopped to make sure that I was OK. The best news----I had no pain during the procedure, and no pain for the rest of the day or evening. Can't say that I look forward to going to the dentist, but quite honestly, Dr. K. and her staff do their best to make it a good experience. Karen Zaneski

So, this isn't necessarily a review for the Dentist himself, more for the practice. And the…read morepractice consists of Vandlik and Krasnow. After moving into the area my Husband and I stumbled on this practice and we actually really liked it. Mind you, I HATE the dentist and anything having to do with them. Going every 6 months makes me want to hang myself. Also, I have no cavities or any other issue with my teeth so it's not like I hold a grudge. The people are very nice and we receive emails, texts and phone calls to remind us of our appointments. The waiting room and exam rooms are very clean and well lit, sometimes chilly, but our appointments are usually 7:30am so it's expected a little. They have a "live" camera that allows them to snap pictures of your mouth and it gets displayed on the monitor on front of you so you know exactly what is going on in your mouth and the can switch to previous xrays to see if anything has changed. Before your leave, your hygienist makes your next appointment also right on that screen and you are assigned the same person each time. She also schedules my husbands appointment even while he's in the room next door. Coming from a small town with no updated technology, I just found all of this fascinating (and I am in my 20's)! The only down side is in the last 4 years, I think we have only met our dentist once. I wouldn't know him if I ran into him and the last few times we have a young girl filling in as the dentist. So it is quite strange...not sure where the two Dentist's are, but the place itself is fab....for a dentist office.
