I would highly recommend Dr. Mark Feinberg's practice to any patients young or old looking to improve their smile. Dr. Fienberg and his staff have always been very professional and only do the work that is necessary. Two generations of my family, including myself and two daughters have been patients in his practice. I began seeing Dr Feinberg when he was still working out of his original office in Stratford with his father, who was also a great orthodontist. The orthodontic work that Dr. Feinberg completes is the most advanced and state of the art. He creates a personal plan for each individual patient outlining their course of treatment. The office is always extremely clean and is a very welcoming and comforting environment. Dr. Feinberg has created two beautiful smiles for my daughters and that has been the greatest gift. I had a terrible experience with Invisalign treatment leaving me with a very large overjet (akin to buck teeth). Aside from a bad cosmetic result, this left me unable to bite an apple, or a piece of pizza or a sandwich, etc. Everything just folds up under the front overjet. Salad tends to escape as you eat - very embarrassing. The dentist had also ground down a crown, leaving me with an upper tooth that needs to be raised with screws in my jaw, and a tendency to bite the inside of my cheek on that side. Dr. Feinberg is a great orthodontist. He is very professional, his staff is great, his office is modern and immaculate. He explains everything with a great deal of patience and professionalism. He has a lot of experience with Invisalign cases gone wrong ! He also has a wonderful reputation among his peers, which says a lot. I had gone for a second opinion on the advice of a friend who is also a Dentist and Dr. Bilous in Fairfield, another great orthodontist, assured me that his plan was exactly what was needed. She also see a lot of Invisalign cases gone wrong. The lesson is no one should be going to a dentist, even if they call themselves a cosmetic dentist, to have teeth moved. This should only be done by trained orthodontists. read more

While Dr. Feinberg and Co. are not currently caring for my son Trevor's teeth, I can say that when my son did have his braces he had the best of care. The staff is fantastic with everything so well organized. The process of braces was made about as easy as can be. I can honestly say of all the doctors and dentists of whom we have had contact, this office is number one. Dr. Feinberg is not only talented and experienced, he is kind and funny. Dr Feinberg has been our family's orthodontist for many years. Our older son has completed his treatment and his smile is now beautiful. Dr. Feinberg and the Sure Smile technique has done a wonderful job! Our younger son is in the middle of his treatment plan and we expect his smile to be as beautiful as his brother's very soon. Dr. Fineberg and his office staff are wonderful. We've had reason to call Dr. Fineberg after hours for a couple emergencies and he never wavers from his kind, happy demeanor. We never wait extra time in the waiting room. We've always been happy and surprised with how easy it is to book appointment times, and even re-schedule them afterwards. History

Established in 1960.

We have a family tradition of providing exceptional orthodontic care to our family of patients. Dr. Leonard Feinberg originally established the orthodontic practice in two locations, Bridgeport and Stratford, CT. I joined my dad in full time practice in 1984 and our practice remained in Stratford until 2013 when our office building was demolished. Subsequently, our office relocated to Shelton, Ct. in the beautiful Scinto Corporate Towers Complex at the end of 2013. We chose a new site that would be easily accessible for our existing patients and to service the needs of our growing patient population from surrounding towns.

Meet the Business Owner: Mark F.

I am a 2nd generation orthodontist who joined my dad's orthodontic practice in 1982. My passion for orthodontics and creating beautiful smiles and healthy occlusions was instilled at a young age. After attending Andrew Warde High School, I received my BS degree from Fairfield University in 1977. My dental degree was conferred from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1982 and then I went on to receive additional specialty training and a Certificate in Orthodontics from Columbia University in 1984. I am currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

The follow up in the Bridgeport office? Again, excellent. This review is strictly for the Shelton office. That office cares more about legal liability and billing than they do about your child. I have serious reservations about unnecessary dental procedures for my child. With all of the information coming out about fluoride, as a concerned mother, I have opted out of fluoride for my child...no biggie but if you are the same, be warned - their only concern is that they are the "experts" and you are moron who drools on yourself. They were condescending when I brought up my concern and made me sign a waiver to remove their legal liability. OK. Strike One. At our most recent visit, the hygienist explained that it is standard to X-ray your child (even if there is no concern) at the age my child is. I explained I am not ok with exposing my child to radiation unless it is absolutely necessary. This time I was again given a waiver and condescension. Strike two. There will be no strike three. I will not be bringing my precious child back to a place that places billing for unnecessary X-rays and avoiding legal liability above the well being of my child and I do not think any other parent should either. If there is an issue with any child because of the fluoride THEY RECOMMEND I hope they get sued into oblivion. After COVID these "experts" can go pound sand. A piece of paper does NOT make you smarter or better read than the rest of us. Treat parents with the respect the deserve or go into another business. These people make me sick.

Fast forward 8 months, I went back in for another cleaning. The hygienist did great and was personable. Still needing quite a bit of work, I requested to speak with the dentist. Unlike the first time, she almost seemed bothered and rushed through my questions, giving me no real treatment plan other than saying I need an extraction. Upon checking out, I was informed that I had a "large credit from 8 months ago" but they wouldn't give me an exact dollar amount. Needing to get back to work, I let it go and scheduled my appointment for an extraction. Upon receiving the estimated financials for the extraction, I found that they added $300 x-rays for an implant that I never asked for as well as a $156 "evaluation" fee even though they told me the tooth would be evaluated at my cleaning. I called the office to inquire and they said it must have been a mix-up regarding the implant x-rays and the oral surgeon indeed did charge $156 just for looking at the tooth prior to the $750 extraction. I proceeded to ask why my past credit was withheld from me for 8 months as it would have been useful to pay off a credit card I put the treatment on and was incurring interest. They had no answer other than "I don't know." With all of the odd billing problems, I cancelled my appointment for now. Edit: After contact with the office manager, she was kind and did her best to resolve the issue. She thoroughly explained the situation, apologized for the error and promptly issued me a check for the credit including interest. While I believe its important to highlight the problems, I think it is equally as important to highlight the initiative they took to fix them. I do sincerely thank them for doing their best to resolve the issue in a fair manner. At the end of the day, we are all human and make mistakes. I do believe the location has the potential to be great.

I have never been as confident about my smile as I am now! Dr. Feinberg treated me with Invisalign and I couldn't be happier with the way my teeth turned out. Not only are my teeth straight but my bite is perfect and they are whiter then they've ever been in my life! I was able to finish my Invisalign in only 6 months all thanks to their SureSmile technology. SureSmile changed my treatment from being a one size fits all to couture personalized treatment and it literally cut my treatment time in half. Dr Feinberg was able plan each tooth movement precisely where he wanted them to be with SureSmile. This office is the most high tech office I have ever been in. They scanned my teeth in a matter of 3 minutes and created a 3-D model of my teeth so I didn't have to take impressions. They even do Zoom whitening in office so after my teeth and bite were perfected I was able to get them whitened there too. My son Trenten went to an appointment last week to continue some work that Dr. Feinburg is doing with his teeth. He had braces and his teeth have shifted and he was so accomodating with my son's schedule with being away for school, holding off in ordering the aligners, and waiting for payment to begin until he started wearing the aligners. We had the great pleasure of running into Dr. Feinburg last week at our regular dentists office. They both consult with each other on common patients....I love both Dr. Feinburg and our dentists Dr. Andrew and Scott Mogelof even more once I heard that. I was so impressed with the care and genuine concern and love Dr. Feinburg has for his patients. With all of the patients he has, he called my daughter and myself by name and followed up with a hug and kiss....from a dentist. My experience at Dr. Feinberg's was a great one, where I was comfortable coming to every appointment and knew I would get the best possible treatment from Dr. Feinberg and his staff. My two brothers and I came to Dr. Feinberg's knowing it was the best combination of superb orthodontic treatment and a fun-filled, down to earth atmosphere. Dr. Feinberg and his staff are professional, courteous, funny and sympathetic during the entire experience. I looked for someone who would help me to resolve issues that my Invisalign treatment caused, When I first met Dr. Feinberg, my bite was totally off and my teeth were unaligned. My tongue hurt and I needed relief from all of the above symptoms. Dr. Feinberg was dedicated and his tenacious questioning of why something wasn't helping only spurred him on to try and find a solution. Today, my braces were removed and my teeth look great! They are not only warm, friendly and inviting, but extremely professional, knowledgeable and skilled in their disciplines. I have never felt more secure with the care of my children. I had my two kids get their braces with Dr. Feinberg. My older daughter has beautiful teeth. She is a Huskies cheerleader now and her teeth is one of her best assets. When you see her, you will immediately notice her confident smile! Today my younger daughter will take out her braces. We all are excited to see her come out with a beautiful smile. I have been coming to Dr. Feinberg's office almost every two months for the past 10 years, and the staff is very nice and helpful. My sister had her ortho done by Dr Feinberg many years ago and had such great things to say about her experience that when I moved back to CT, that is where I went when my son needed braces. Dr. Feinberg and his staff really take in interest in their patients. It's the kind of service you don't usually get in today's world. They made my son feel very comfortable, even noting what his interests were so they could chat with him during his appointments. Definitely recommend for any orthodontic treatments. read more

I am an oral surgeon who has referred many patients to Dr. Feinberg and who has seen many of his patients as my patients. His work is excellent. He has a wonderful chairside manner and uses the newest technologies in his practice to get excellent and long lasting results for his ortho patients. When I first arrived at Dr. Feinbergs office, he wasn't even 100% sure he was going to be able to help me. I had one of the worst cases of an underbite and my teeth were a mess. I started this process in 2006 and by 2008 my teeth were perfect and I had the smile I always dreamed of. I just got my braces off a couple of months ago and I feel AMAZING- my teeth look fantastic and I am so proud of them! This office is always right on schedule, I never had to wait and wait for my appointment. Everyone is so sweet and kind, I will truly miss them and coming to the orthodontist, and I'm pretty sure that's not something that most people can say! read more
