Edging keeps the mulch from spreading into the grass and sidewalk, but there are a few spots the edging doesn't reach. Tired of having to sweep it back into the landscaped area or replace missing mulch, I wanted some small-ish rocks. Easy, right? Wrong. I went to Menards expecting to pick up some rocks. Bigger than the ones that you can use in place of mulch, but smaller than stone pavers or boulders. Struck out at Menards, the landscaping place suggested a vendor that requires membership and the other landscaping place didn't sell the right size rocks, so I turned to the Yelps and found Crawford, which is conveniently less than a mile from my house. Walking into the place is a little intimidating. Lots of trucks and small construction vehicles for moving rocks. I popped into the main building and told them what I was looking for and they called someone to help me. We went to a huge bin of rocks, I told him approximately what size I was looking for and how many and he picked some out for me and put them on the scale. 5 rocks at 12lb ran me $1.79! We've debated puting paver stones down in part of our yard. If we decide to do it, I'm coming back here. They're super nice, the prices are fantastic and they have a nice selection. PRO TIP: Wear proper shoes. Flip flops were a bad choice.

I asked for help from the helpful hardware man. I believe I was helped by the store manager, who was asking me questions like he was the customer and I was the employee. Why do you need 6 screws when it came with 12. Do you need 3/4 ? I don't know what is 35mm? Eventually, we both decided what screw that I needed, and I proceeded to make my way to check out. I saw that there was a sponge for 3.99 note in corner that this sponge has been priced 3.99 since 2/22. Not a bad price so I go to buy the sponge and screws. The lady checks me out and sponge rings up 4.59 And I immediately say wait the sponge is like 389 or 399. It's definitely under four dollars. She replies it rang up 4.59 so that's what it is. I said well if you would go look your price is marked differently. She said I can just tell you that this is what it rang up and this is how much it cost. I did buy it because I needed the sponge, but I went back and took a picture and showed the manager the same manager that helped me with the screws who is not far from the cash register and they both left about the fact that I went and showed them that it was 399 and she charged me 4.59. And said oh well Scott needs to fix the prices looks like Scott missed this one oh well. I don't know why they think that they're entitled to 50 extra cents. So I thought, "I'll just see what their Garden Area" looks like.... $278 later, I'm happy to give 5 stars! They had everything!!! The pottery section was so well stocked with a bunch of cool ceramic planters on sale. Gorgeous annuals and perennials!! I scored a massive fern as well as pots of lush perennials to add to my little garden. The staff were the best part! This was Friday night after I'm sure everyone has had a long day, yet each person went out of their way to greet me and ask if they could help me find anything! Check out lady was lovely, too. This might become a weekly Friday night mid-commute stop for me. Oh, plenty of parking. The lot wasn't crowded at all.

After speaking to manager Miguel , he told me he would not honor the price , I was shocked , because this has happen before at this Menards , and the price was honered and price was changed . Miguel did not want to hear what I was saying, and he clearly saw the price on the weed killer ... so I took all my items back and returned them , because I felt discriminated against , and told myself I would not shop at Menards again. Bought many things here over the years. We walked in and was immediately recognized by "thebiglebowski." Still the same and the hardware store is the same with a plethora of bolts, nails, building materials, collapsable buckets, and of course a very nice candy counter! This review is for my experience with the Viva Tile line, which we used for the floor of another room. We picked a nice pattern from their selection but the sheets arrived with a lot of tiles misaligned. Basically every sheet had some wonky tiles, whereas this style is meant to feature clean, geometric lines. It took a long time to get a hold of them to discuss and we'd already started installing the tile by then because we were in a time crunch and not sure whether the problem was fixable. When we finally connect with the manager he admits they made the sheets incorrectly but that there was nothing they could do because they had already been installed--a really poor manner of addressing their own manufacturing defects.

The tile for 1 bathroom arrived on time, the tile for 3 arrived 6-8 weeks late ("because of the holidays"). However I am still waiting on tile for the last bathroom and it has been 5.5 months since I ordered it. I have emailed multiple people at the company, called, left voicemails and no one will tell me when my tile will be ready. The reason for me writing this review is that I am hoping someone at the company will see it and reach out to me since I have not had any luck getting anyone to message or call me back. It is a shame because the tile that we have received is beautiful, but give the insane delays and lack of communication I would not recommend.
