I was shocked to see such a low review so I had to leave one. We have gone to this store for all of our trimmings on three espérate home renovations. By far the lowest price and the biggest selection. We also had a steep staircase we had to figure out how to create a rail for. We showed a picture and the guy working was able to give us multiple ideas of ways it could work and we were able to purchase the materials there as well. We were never provided the wrong amount of supplies we paid for. We had our own contractors and did not use any of their "word of mouth" contractors. We rented a truck for a few hours from Home Depot and moved it all ourselves. Not a single problem and will continue to refer people here. read more

I'm super glad that I found this place. It's a little out of the way from where we operate (downtown and north side), but they have EVERYTHING (in terms of trim, baseboards, shoe, etc.) that Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menard's does not. It's also shockingly inexpensive...Like 1/2 of the price that Home Depot would charge for the same types of things, but with a MUCH bigger selection. Before I went, I read the reviews about the poor customer service, so I was prepared for that, but when everything was said and done, that wasn't the experience that I had. I went during COVID-19 so the guy came out to the sidewalk to take my order...I just showed him a piece of the base board shoe that I was looking for, and 2 minutes later he came out with two 17' lengths of an exact match...The best part is that after tax it was only about $11. Although I can't speak for other people's experiences with the customer service, I did not have any problems...I got EXACTLY what I needed quickly and for a good price, so that's pretty much all that I care about. read more

Called to discuss Empire mouldings on the advise of Empire . Reached a gentleman called Juan Martinez. He was rude from the moment he answered the phone. When I finally got his name, and asked whether he was a sales person with whom I could talk about product and spending money with their business he hung up on me and refused to answer when I called back. After being here mire than a couple of times and made a total purchase for over $5k they put in my car wrong stair posts, i cane over again to exchange it and return couple of staircases - and was charged restocking fees for it !??? So, if you happen to buy something from there make absolute sure that you checked the quality and grade of what you being sold, because they will put what ever is convenient for them at the moment and you will be treated like nobody after you swept your credit card . The store itself is fine. Good selection of molding. The problem started when we asked for a referral for someone to put in the molding. They recommended Oscar as a trim carpenter. Oscar claimed to be part owner of the store. Oscar had his son do a lot of the work he stated that he would be doing. The crown that Oscar put in was done well but part of the work (casings) was done really poorly (crooked, major gaps, etc.) Oscar agreed that the casing were not correct and stated that he would come back to fix casing later after demanding payment ("I give you my word, I will come back on Monday and fix it."). Of course he never showed and will not answer phone...Oscar (part owner) is not someone you want to deal with, not true to his word (and am weary to deal with people who refer out people like him)... read more
