I first called AIC and spoke with Alfredo, the owner. I provided him with multiple interior and exterior photos of our current front door along with its dimensions. The next day, we visited the company's showroom where Alfredo took the time to show us all of their amazing products. After providing us with a little insight on the architecture style of our home (we had no idea), we settled on the door provided in the images. The process took less than an hour. The following day, a representative came to our home to take more precise and final measurements. Installation took place less than a month later. THEY ARE BOOKED SOLID, so unless someone else cancels or fails to confirm their appointment, you will have to wait. The installation crew arrived promptly at 8am. They set up plastic barriers to prevent dust and particulates from spreading beyond the entryway. I provided them with an EZ-UP canopy for shade in the driveway where they set up their table saw. Although the job took 4 hours to complete, they plan ahead by scheduling an entire day with the homeowner. This helps in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The workers were professional and respectful. Their work was impeccable. They knew what they are doing! We couldn't be more pleased with every step of this process and we were even more pleased with the end result. It was better than we expected. I highly recommend you take a hard look at Advanced Iron Concepts and, if possible, drive to their showroom to see firsthand what options are available. One note: This door is exceedingly heavy. Unless you have at least two strong people, you will NOT be able to remove it from the hinges should you need to move furniture or appliances in or out of your home. After a month I followed up as my moving date was getting closer into the new home I wanted these walkway gate installed. After a long thread of texting back and forth I decided to move forward but he shared it will take 4 weeks to "make" and he wanted 50% down?! When I questioned the large deposit for a product/service I haven't received yet and how california law is 10% on deposits, he basically said it's his way or move on. The doors were never aligned properly in the first place. It was a nightmare getting them to come back out to fix that problem. The wife tells you to call the husband and the husband tells you to call the wife. They want to email instead of call. When they call, they call from different numbers, and they don't leave a message. Then they use it as an excuse why they didn't get in contact. I've been trying to get them to come out for months now to make me some additional keys at around $3XX. He said we should have gotten 10 keys instead of 5 in the first place and was very irritated and didn't want to come back out "just to make keys" Just got off the phone and now he said that he's not going to do the job because I called him unprofessional. I deal with hundreds of sub contractors, vendors and generals and I have to put them at the top of the list when it comes to Customer service. Do not ever do business with Alfedo or this company. They are helpful and professional while in their showroom to purchase their product but once you get it home they don't stand by their doors. My wife and I purchased an iron door and handle to go with it and had our contractor install it during our house remodel. When I went to install the handle only 2 of the five holes needed to make it fit were pre-drilled into the door. Normally in a standard wood or aluminum door you can buy from Home Depot or Lowes I would just pull put my drill and make the holes myself but this is a $3000 solid steel door that took 3 guys to carry from the truck to install it and I nor my contractor have the right tools to drill 3 more hole into the door. When I contacted the company to ask them to come out to drill the holes that should've already been there I was talked to very rudely and cursed at for being to cheap to pay for their company to install it and therefore it wasn't their job to do it and was abruptly hung up on by Alfredo. When I tried calling back it continually went to voice mail and he wouldn't pick up until I called from another number. I let him know that if he didn't make this right I would be calling the BBB and leaving a negative yelp review. He then cursed at me and told me it wasn't his problem and there was nothing he was going to do to help and that I should call a locksmith to install the handle. What an absolute joke. My family got a new rod iron fence door installed from this company. All was well, until we found that they didn't even attach it to the fence, only the wall! I've used Advanced Iron Concepts on two occasions and am ready for a third. In the past the owner, Martin, knew I wanted something unique, custom and European. He designed four railings for entry areas and they turned out beautiful. He drew the design concept as it would appear and emailed it for approval. Then on another occasion I wanted a decorative door not to look like a security door but it was for that purpose when I wanted to have doors open. He used the exact design as before and what a beautiful compliment to the previous existing railing. Everyone comments on what a beautiful transformation it made to the kitchen entry. Let's face it, that's the entry friends come to visit. It presented a challenge for installation because of the way the door way was built but they worked it out. I bought the wrong lock hardware and they took the receipt, returned it and bought the correct one and installed. Their work is beautiful and reasonable for custom iron work. 1 star is too many in my opinion... I hired Advanced Iron Concepts to replace a side gate at my residence since they were reasonably priced. They came to install the gate about a month later than promised and we only stuck with them because we already paid a deposit. When they finally came they installed the gate and it looked good so we paid them. That was all a few months ago. Today we had strong winds and upon arriving home from work I saw my fence had blown down right where it met the gate they installed. Upon review, I noticed they never attached their gate to my wooden fence, as the old gate was attached. Without the support of the gate my fence did not have a chance. I sent a text to the company and they said their gate was still standing so they wouldn't help us. i explained a proper repair would have been to secure the two together just as it was before they screwed it up. They stopped texting so I called them. Alfredo said he was the owner and refused to do anything. He was very rude and keep referring to me as "SIR" in a loud and condescending manner. When I asked him to spell his last name (for small claims court), he said he was busy and hung up on me. Now they won't answer the phone or text me back.
