Thank you so much Manuel and Jose for being so pleasant, helpful and patient. We are thoroughly happy with our new security door. It looks awesome and just how we envisioned it. The craftsmanship is impressive and the entire build feels very sturdy which gives us peace of mind. We highly recommend family owned MCS Iron Works! They are honest, professional, really listen to what you want and commit to bring your vision to life. I usually know what I want instantly but with this project I was a bit indecisive with the design. I had a few last minute change requests. They went above and beyond and made it happen. read more

MCS Iron Works is a father and son team that installed a gate at my home. From the very start of the project, Manuel, the owner of MCS Ironworks was upfront with the options and timing of the project. In every interaction with him and his father they exuded a consummate professionalism. The end product (gate) was more beautiful than I had imagined and the gate was installed with the greatest care and appreciation for being done properly. Than you MCS Ironworks read more

My review is based upon a request for a quote for a minor home owner project involving a minimum of time, material and equipment. I sent a hand drawing detailing clearly and legibly what I was was looking for in 18-20 ga. metal commonly found in a sheet metal shop. I was given a quote of $500-600 for the project. WOW!! If the shop did not want to trifle with my project, they could have told me that they were unable to address my project and let it go at that. I am sorry to have disturbed their status quo. Thanks for nothing read more

I saw this rod iron door on Pinterest and my current door was outdated. I love using Yelp to research vendors and I found MCS Iron Works. I'm so happy with the end result! They use powder coating which protects it from rusting. Manuel is reliable, responds to messages promptly and walks you through the whole process. They broke down the fee into payments which made it easy on the wallet. The door took 12-15 week period and I'm supper happy with it! :D read more

I had the pleasure of contacting MCS Iron Works back in June to request a quote for a gate. From the beginning, they impressed me with their prompt and courteous response. They came and visited my property to take measurements and discuss design options. I wanted the gate to match the one my father had made for me in front of my home. MCS Iron Works matched the design my father created and added a modern touch that gives it a contemporary look. The attention to detail in their craftsmanship is awe-inspiring. Every aspect of the gate was executed flawlessly, and the final product reflects their dedication to perfection. One of the things that stood out for me was their exceptional customer service. They kept me well-informed and updated on the project's progress. I had a business trip coming up and requested them to install the gate before I left. To my surprise, they accommodated my request and had it installed just in time. The installation was carried out with utmost professionalism. They ensured that the edges of the rail were perfectly flushed with the block wall, leaving no room for complaints. The result not only looks fantastic but also feels sturdy and secure. I cannot praise MCS Iron Works enough for their top-notch service and craftsmanship. They have transformed my vision into reality and delivered a product that exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled iron works company, I highly recommend MCS Iron Works. Their attention to detail, outstanding customer service, and professionalism set them apart. I am thrilled with my new gate and will undoubtedly seek their services again in the future. read more

We contacted Manuel and he immediately responded to our price inquiry. We made an appointment and he arrived on time. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and gave additional ideas to the front security door. He showed several pictures of his work and he provided a quote later that day. For the specifics regarding our project, he quoted a very reasonable price. Our door was custom made and all the material was high quality and the iron is thick gauge. The glass inserts are thick and securely placed in the doors. After completing the framing, they returned to our house to ensure the framing fit perfectly in the threshold of the entry. The powder coating is unblemished and the workmanship of the custom design is of the highest caliber. This company comes HIGHLY recommended. read more

We chose MCS Ironworks after seeing the great reviews here in Yelp. Trust me, we made the right decision. We now have a beautiful custom iron side gate made exactly as we envisioned it would be. The craftsmanship is beautiful. We received a response to our initial inquiry in a timely manner. We met with Manuel and knew right then we were dealing with a honest businessman. The communication through this process was great. Manuel and his father took into consideration a special circumstance regarding my husband and accommodated us willingly. Thank you again! We were given a time frame from start to installation that was accurate. It took about nine weeks from start to finish which worked for us. We are planning to have a second gate built for our home in the months ahead and look forward to working with MCS Ironworks again. read more

MCS built our gate about 3 years ago, and we were extremely satisfied with their work ethics, and construction of a new gate. About 25-30 years ago, my mother purchased a beautiful (heavy) patio set and coffee table for the outside. It had been peeling in some areas. I want sure if Manuel refurbished patio furniture, but he said he did. Just received our patio furniture, and it looks better than purchased. Extremely happy with Manuel and his staff. Definitely will be referring him!!! read more

From the moment I first contacted Manuel (based on his stellar reviews here on Yelp) I was incredibly impressed with his responsiveness, professionalism and organization. Manuel came out promptly to see the where I wanted the gate, brought lots of materials for me to look over and was very receptive to the vision we had for the gate. He made helpful suggestions based on the space and our needs then furnished me with a detailed timeline for the work complete with thorough breakdown of the costs. Manuel came when he promised. He delivered as promised. And he did it all with warmth, great communication and detail-oriented and proficient work. His father joined him on later appointments and he brought a world of experience with him that I also found invaluable; together these men make a great team! Because of Manuel's father, I even changed some of the colors and materials based on a suggestion he made and I'm so glad I listened! We are thrilled with our gate and can unreservedly recommend MCS Iron Works. We hope to use them in future and confidently assure you that you won't be sorry if you call them today! read more

The MCS Iron Works team were professional, and true artists when it comes to fabricating iron gates. I contacted 3 different vendors from Yelp to help us put in a small pedestrian gate for our side yard (which didn't exist before). Only two vendors called us back and one of them was MCS. Manuel and his team contacted us right away by phone, scheduled a time to come out and gave us a quote. They were prompt and polite and clear with their fee quotes so it was no surprise that we ended up going with them. They were also really transparent about how busy they were and what the timeline would be for our project. (So please consider that when planning for your project.) We needed to create a small pedestrian gate on our cinder block wall to our side yard. There was already an existing driveway gate but no way to enter the yard without opening the entire driveway gate. MCS measured and designed the pedestrian gate with the "knuckles". They were able to locate the oak leaf and acorn decorative design as well and they closely matched the paint color to our existing driveway gate. Also, you can tell the MCS team was very careful in laying out the decorative leaf/acorn design to ensure it was centered and aesthetically pleasing. (That is really the mark of a true craftsman who takes pride in their work.) Even though we made some minor changes here and there before the final fabrication, they were always very receptive and accommodating. They made recommendations on which doorknob to pick out. Their crew were also very respectful of our property. They were prompt in arriving when they said they would to perform the work. They cleaned up any debris when they were finished. (Not all vendors are conscientious about keeping their work space clean after they finish their projects.) The results (see photos) are amazing. Even though our pink cinder block wall was leaning due to decades of disrepair and probably earthquake settling they installed the gate securely and ensured it was plumb. (We've already reached out to them for another quote to replace the pink cinder block wall in the future.) They also took time to explain to us what they did and why they did it. I'm so glad that we went with MCS and I'm especially glad we were able to support a local, family owned business. We are very happy with our gate. Even though it was a small project, we never felt like our job was too small for them. MCS made us feel like we were their number one customer! If you are considering a new fence, please give them a try. We had a very good experience and would definitely recommend them. read more

I contracted with MCS for a unique handrailing in my back yard. The previous owner had not put in any railing on steps leading to an upper planter and it is a fall hazard. Because of the way the previous work had been done, a unique solution needed to be determined. Another iron company that I met with was struggling to come up with a design. Meeting with Manuel, however, was different. He was determined to design a rail that would not have to be attached in a way that might damage my rock-faced wall. And he and his dad did just that. I am extremely pleased with the way it turned out and now I don't have to worry about falling as I'm coming down the stairs. Work was completed in slightly less than a month from initial meeting to install. Great work MCS! read more

Outstanding from beginning to end. I went to their business and showed them what I needed--an iron gate model from a photograph. Manuel came to the house to measure and asked several questions. I was delighted with all the detailed information he gave us. They returned to remeasure and make sure all the details were taken care of. The installation was on time and now we have a gorgeous gate that can open both ways and looks A++ The price was good, we looked at other places, including Lowes, and the quality of our gate surpasses them all. Our side gate was so old I would get splinters in my hand nearly every time I would use it! It had to go!! Manual did some work for our next door neighbor - BIG double door gates - but all we needed was a small side gate. Manuel came out at a convenient time to measure and give us a quote. Once we decided to do it, it was great communication all the way thru! He was honest on the time line and price. He and his dad came out to choose color(s) and get final measurements. I wasn't there - Manuel, his dad and my husband picked the colors...(OH NO! LOL). I can't sing loud enough - the praise for MCS Iron Works!! THIS is how a business should be run - integrity, quality and great communication - with a fantastic final product! It was installed today! OH MY GOSH!! Its perfect! I was in desperate need to have my wrought iron fence replaced after the heavy Rialto winds blew down my old gate. I reached out to several iron work businesses to get estimates and time frames. Jose and Manuel came to meet with me to ask what I was looking for. They provided me with examples of the previous work they've done to get a feel of the type of gate I would like installed. The estimates I received were around in the same ball park, but I went with MCS Iron Works because Manuel and Jose made me feel comfortable. They weren't trying to hassle me into choosing an expensive gate, they were very honest with me. Jose came to take measurements of my gate before the install. He created an illustration of my future gate and had a clear vision of how it would look. He took his time to figure out little details. He put handles on the gate, so it would be easy for me to open as well as provided a lock and key. He thought about me, as the customer. He even asked which side would I prefer to have the gate open. It is the little details like that which sets them aside from other Iron companies, he was extremely passionate about the job. Manuel is awesome too, anytime I sent him a text, he responded back right away, within minutes. Also, he made sending the payments easy for me, I was able to send the payments through Zelle which is a plus. I didn't have to deal with the hassle of making a payment with checks, money orders or credit cards. This was one of the simplest business transactions I've ever experienced. They made it simple, easy and convenient. Also, they delivered on time as promised. My gate had blew down from the winds, so my backyard was opened. They gave me a time frame of 2-3 weeks, they had my gate built, powder coated and installed within 2 weeks. They new time was of the essence and they did a fantastic job. I am so in love with my gate. I have provided before and after pictures. Anytime I need iron services done, I will definitely going with MCS Iron Works, they are SSSOOOO awesome. read more
