We were set on building a raised planting bed, but were also set on avoiding pressure treated boards with traces of arsenic. So... cedar or redwood it was. Unimpressed by the selection at the big box stores (Lowe's didn't even have cedar), I called a few lumber yards and fencing suppliers before deciding that Custom Cedar Products appeared to have the best combination of quality lumber and competitive prices. Even over the phone, the customer service was great. They helped me find an economical grade of lumber that was right for the job, a good quality board with cosmetic defects on one side. When we arrived at the yard, we were promptly greeted and they quickly loaded our (borrowed) truck. We didn't need any cutting done, but they definitely had equipment on site to customize an order. We will return to Custom Cedar Products for future projects and I recommend them without hesitation.

However, I guess customer service ends when you want to exchange defective product. I bought a 2X6X10 piece of clear cedar that cost $50. I took it home, cut off about a foot of it to use for my banister and then started sanding it. I noticed then that there were pretty severe cracks on both sides. I tried sanding both sides to see if I could sand it down far enough to hide the cracks but they were just too deep. I took the board back today, expecting a fair exchange. I was told that since I had cut the end off of the board, they could not exchange it. I explained that that was the order a person would use to make a banister. Cut it to length and then sand. As I said, I tried to use the board by sanding it down but these cracks are very deep on both sides. I was told back I could come back on Monday and talk to someone else but they were not going to exchange it or call someone about exchanging it. Not sure how this will turn out on Monday but at this point, I am out $50 and have no banister for a project that is supposed to be done in 6 days. Very, very, unhappy. Update: We returned the board during the week when the owner was there. He said they would normally credit back the length of board that was left which makes sense in a case where the homeowner cut the board and then wanted to return it for another. He did however in this case allow us to swap out the defective board for another. In the end, we were satisfied with the outcome.

Material orders were thrown over fences, Constantly wrong or missing items, And incredibly rude and unhelpful delivery drivers. Yesterday one of the delivery drivers was so rude. The homeowner called us crying demanding to cancel the order because how rude and disrespectful the Delivery driver was. We will be taking our business of 200 + projects a year to a more professional and reliable lumber supplier. I would STRONGLY Recommend going with a different company for your lumber needs. I would recommend Conrad lumber or Sherwood lumber. Just think if they're willing to screw me over with no hesitation and I send them hundreds of thousands of dollars in business imagine what they will do to you.

Tried to cancel but only got more anger. Tried to have it shipped instead but they could not do that without cancelling the order and would have to charge 10 dollars plus 25 shipping for a 15 mile shipment.

Great! Once arriving, there was only the largest piece available. Somehow, the other 6 pieces that go with it were not available. Where is my order?? This is three weeks after my purchase of "IN STOCK". I call and s they are listening to my complaint and typing just as fast, Finally, they let me know the rest is on its way on a truck from a southern state. This was supposed to be in PDX in 3 days. What a joke! 10 Days later it arrived. The "IN STOCK" should be more clear when it concerns something as essential as this.

I had Affordable Granite fabricate two quartz window sills from a remnant for me. The remnant came…read morefrom their stock and was black quartz with silver sparkles. The largest sill was for the window above the kitchen sink, so it's highly visible. Both sills were scratched prior to me picking them up. As soon as I saw the largest sill in the shop, I noticed the scratches even though the sill was covered with a lot of dust from the fabrication. The biggest scratches were two 6" parallel lines. I figured they came from the machine used to do the fabricating. I mentioned the scratches and Miza advised me to mask them with a Sharpie. He said something to the effect that no one would see the scratches. I put the sills into my car. As I was driving away I told my friend in the passenger's seat that the sills were scratched. She said she saw the biggest scratch on the kitchen sink sill right away before I mentioned it. Also, one of the dog ears on this sill wasn't squared. Before I left Affordable Granite, and before I had time to really contemplate their workmanship, I picked out another remnant because I figured I have them fabricate another sill from a different remnant. I pointed it out to Miza. He indicated that he understood, but he didn't mark the remnant with my name as was done before. I asked him if he was going to mark it, but he said he'd remember. When I texted him a week or so later with my measurements he had forgotten which remnant I wanted. He asked me to describe it. I described the remnant in a text, and then I never heard from him again.

We ended up going with laminate and got it at a VERY good price here. The actual pick up was at the airport way location but this place is closer to home and we decided to choose the color. There is not that much of a selection but we were able to find a nice color that I fell in love with! The guys helping us were very helpful and it wasn't too busy in there. The place is nice and spacious so you don't feel too cluttered. We will be back for future needs because we had an easy quick experience UPDATED REVIEW--- Just came here again to get more of the same laminate that I purchased months ago for my downstairs portion of the house. It was 1.59 a sqft so not a bad price at all. I got the cape cod color and it is beautiful! Very modern and clean looking when installed. I got a total of 11 boxes and it all fit into my car perfectly! The woman helping me at the counter was so kind and the man (her husband) loading it into my car was very careful not to damage anything.
